Help, am I too late?

I just recently found out that I will be able to go to WDW May 7-13th. Am I too late to make reservations? I really wanted to try Hoop-Dee-Doo or Mickey's Backyard BBQ but just found out they are both booked.
1. What are my chances of a cancellation?
2. Can I get any good reservations at this late date and where?
3. I know what PS is but what is ADR?
Thanks for the help!

Keep trying for cancellations.

You can get plenty of reservations, especially if you are willing to eat at off peak times. The only way to know for sure is to try.

ADR is the same as PS. ADR=Advanced Dining Reservation. New name, same thing.

Good luck!

It's probably not too lat but you need to call now! Please let us know how you fare.

We were able to score an ADR last year for Hoop-Dee-Doo over the March 25th Spring Break and we booked that trip only 1 month before we actually went. When we first called, there was nothing, but we called back twice a day every day and got lucky with a seating!

If there's hope for us, there is for you too! Good luck!!

Well I must have gotten a clueless CS. I am still relatively new to all of this and beleive what I hear. When I spoke to her yesterday she said nothing was availble for Cinderella's castle but she had a cancellation for one morning at 8:05. (Perfect time, could not believe my luck if I could snag it) She said she could not release it. It had to "Go Through the System" and to call first thing in the morning. WRONG! I called this morning and of course they said they had never heard of that. I did get a dinner PS which I am happy I did get something.
Also, I was told there was nothing for the Hoop de Doo. When I called this morning I had my choice of days, go figure.
I am doing the Happy dance!
Can you see the fireworks from inside the castle?
We should be getting out of the Castle at the same time as the fireworks show any suggestions on where to go. I know everywhere will be packed!

You can't really see much of them, but you are in the middle of them so that was pretty cool. The higher fireworks are visible out the dining room stained glass windows. When we went they dimmed the lights and played the music while we sat at ease with our dinner.

A whole different experience than on the ground in terms of atmosphere.

That's great news! :thumbsup2 Congrats!

I just called about an hour ago for our last minute trip May 16 to 23 and was able to get Hoop De Doo at 5 on the 21st and had 1 other day I could have a 5:00 seating. I was able to get everything I wanted, Chef Mickey's dinner a little later than I had hoped, 7:50, but that's okay. I even got Le Cellier for a 5:00 seating - it's possible - so keep trying. :goodvibes
