Ours was pretty basic too. I baked chicken, with pasta and green beans.

You must have wore out your little guy today. Isn't a treat when the go to bed so easily?

He did run around pretty hard today. We went to Target to get a new helmet and some other household stuff, I let him walk instead of putting him in the cart. He got his bangs trimmed today, too. We went for a bike ride when his big sis came home from school (Monkey was in the baby trailer). The only bad thing about him going to bed early is that he'll wake up early. Not looking forward to that.

Congrats on the new tag:thumbsup2

i love it that you call your son monkey. i have a 13 year old i still call monkey, and she still answers to it. She has been called monkey for so long she thinks its her name. though now she does ask that i use her real name around her friends.:confused3

I was called Mouse for years by my family and I used to get so angry. I would just not talk to anyone that called me that. Then when I was an adult and I finally grew up.

Thanks:thumbsup2 It's funny you mentioned that your DD thought that her name was monkey, when I'm done at the gym and pick him up from the daycare the girls will call him by name and he doesn't flinch but as soon as I call out Monkey he perks right up and comes running. :rotfl2:

I bet it is the sound of your voice that he tunes into.:goodvibes

sometimes i miss the kids being little. i also have a son who just turned 18 in september. this christmas my husband made the comment about christmas just not being the same since the kids have gotten older. there is something so special about the little ones being so excited waiting for santa and believing. my daughter is funny, she will not admit to us she no longer believes in santa, because she is in fear of not getting gifts. she still put out milk and cookies this year. she's so funny. she tells me she is not in a hurry to grow up. she enjoys being a kid. in away that makes me happy. i don't want her trying to grow up to quickly. my husabnd tells her when she turns 30 they can discuss her dating. i told my husband, you do realize this means she will be with us forever.:)

I think that's sweet.

why did they call you mouse? there always seems to be a story behind every nickname.;)

thank you! and i was thinking about what you said about finally growing up and excepting your nickname. as we get older we realize those names were not meant to hurt us. they were meant in an affectionate loving way. just a thought.:lovestruc

Oh I know that now. But when I was a teenager I was so embarrassed by it. Of course it didn't help that I had an older cousin that used to take great pleasure in causing me embarrassing moments. Now I couldn't careless if he called me Mouse. He felt bad when he found out years later how much it bothered me.

well that just shows that your love of disney started way back in childhood.:cool1:

you have me thinking about my childhood. i was the youngest of 7 kids, me, my sister an 5 brothers. My mom was in early 40's when she had me. Me and her have always been very close, i would talk to her about everything. when i had children of my own she spent alot of time with both of them. she is now 82 years old and living in a assisted living home for the elderly. my father pasted away 11 years ago. she has pretty bad dementia and can't remember much. i miss talks with her so much, there are days i want to share things with her, and realize i really can't. it makes me sad. it reminds me to never take a loved one for granted and enjoy the time you have with them. i tell my kids they need to make the most of the time they have with people they love. i'm not sure they realize the importance of family. but as they get older i hope it sinks in. i'm getting all teary eyed, so i will stop here.

Good Morning everyone! I hope everyone's day goes well! I am at work today, on a Saturday, UGH. I would much rather be in bed sleeping LOL

Thanks very much! I hope your day goes well too ^_^

I had an english muffin with strawberry jam and some scrambled eggs for breakfast and they were yummy!

:goodvibes Thanksies!!

Sounds yummy. Sadly I still have yet to decide what I want. At this rate it will be a bowl of cereal. No wait, at this rate it will be nothing. Although I do have another Pop Tart left.

So I am working on my TR again :woohoo:

 I am sorry I logged off when I did. I am the youngest of two. I was always daddy's and grandpa's girl. I am lucky enough to still have my mom, but I lost my dad in 2000, and my grandpa in 2007. I miss both of them terribly. When I was telling you the Mouse story I was thinking about my dad. He used always tell me that I would always be his Mousey. Yeah.
