Santa Monica is BEAUTIFUL! My great Grandma used to live there andI would always visit. Its a six hour drive from me to there too. I still have alot of family who lives down there. My boyfriend lives in Las Vegas so is a nine hour drive or one hour flight. I see him about every three months. It's been four so my stress level is a bit off the charts!

My cat is very, very grouchy. And of course I have a problem of not leaving her alone when she's putting off all the signs that say to do so. It's my own fault, really. But I wish she'd just relax sometimes. She's a lot like me in that way.

Yeah we wait for the plane tickets to drop but right now they just dont seem to like us. They are 89 each way right now and I hope they drop soon!

Have you been to the Pier yet? It is kind of a cool place to go. It's really pretty at sunset. We had fun there for a bit. Didn't go on any rides or anything, but it's fun to walk around.

And I know what you mean about telling their mood. My moms cat is such a brat. She is so cuddly, and will get on your lap and purr and love getting pet, then all of a sudden she freaks out for no reason. I have a few scars from her doing that.

You are close by! I'm about 40 minutes from SJ and right on the other side of the Benicia Bridge from Michele. So many Bay Area DIS'ers, I love it.

Which airline do you normally use? I don't fly so I usually don't pay attention to airfare costs. I can usually get down to SoCal on one tank of gas and then back on another so at least that keeps the costs down a little bit.

Nope, not yet. He always means to take me and then we end up doing something else, lol. Kind of like how my mental notes never actually come to life.

My cat can be so cuddly. She loves crawling into my lap, even if it means pushing my laptop right onto the floor. But she's pretty short tempered. You do something she doesn't like she gives you one more chance and then usually freaks out. But I still love her. I usually don't push it when I know she's PO'ed.

I have never done the Santa Monica Pier. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk several times.

I like driving because then I can have my car if I need it. Of course this next time I won't need a car, we are parking in the hotel parking lot and not getting in it again until we leave on going home day.

Gotta love Southwest! If I had to fly I would choose them, hands down. Especially when I can get fares as low as $49. I love snagging those. Well, as much as you can love something that you despise.

Can't watch it now though, Dillon's messing with his arcade stuff. He is setting up a machine where you can play pretty much any video game you can think of from Atari to Nintendo 64 on a full sized arcade machine we have in our basement. It should be fun when it's finished.
