Hello! newbie here!

Oops, so it is. A co-worker told me it was a Saturday - she had suggested it for our wedding date, but we needed to have it in the summer to work with everyone's schedules. Sunday should be less popular, but with Disney there are so many destination weddings, so you really can have those any day of the week.

Good luck getting your date and the time you want! It is really stressful not knowing, but if your Planner said it shouldn't be a problem, I think you gotta trust the experts, at least I'm hoping that since they told me the same thing about my date!

Wow! You are lucky!:)

I have e mailed one of the co ordinators at Disney for advice on it all. Our travel agents here in the UK are a bit hopeless and told us we could book and get the date sorted straight away - turns out they don't do a lot of DISNEY weddings, but they do a lot of FLORIDA weddings and they just assumed it was the same thing!!!!!:headache: You can imagine that having been told that booking early would guarentee us the date and we would hear in a couple of weeks (and this was in APRIL 2009) we are very upset that this is in fact totally made up based on what other locations in Florida do!

They even offered us to change the location to make up for them being so hopeless BUT, it's not like anywhere else will be the same as Disney! I don't think they get it!

I am hoping that the people at Disney will be a bit helpful. I mean I know that if they don't book the dates then they don't, but just maybe they might have a bit of good advice or something

We had the same problem. I was looking to book everything through Virgin Holidays and they told me back in march " sure no problem the only thing is that the winter brochure (we are getting married in April 2010) doesn't come out until June so we will need to wait until then to book as their prices are not available yet but they assured me it wouldn't be a problem to book our date then. After 3 months of waiting I rang them again only to be told I had been misinformed back in March and they don't have any contact with Disney until the 8 month mark and then they only email them and ask. Well I thought I might as well go direct to Disney and speak to them myself. So we have requested our date after speaking to a lovely man at Disney and now have just over a month to wait to find out for definite.
