HELLO ? MICKEY? ARE YOU THERE?It's me again, and again, and again.....TR STARTED 6/3

I am loving seeing all your old vacation pictures! It's so cool to see how things (and people) have changed. :goodvibes

So glad you had a nice trip with your mom and sister. I would love to see that exhibit if it comes closer to my area.

Sigh. I love the Polynesian. I don't know how many times I've said that on these boards. haha I don't remember all the buildings we stayed in but we must've been in or close to Tokelau because I know there were a bunch of times we were really close to the quiet pool. Ahhh I miss it!
Me, too, Sarah! We've only stayed in Tokelau each time we've been there, but that's ok, because I think it's in a great location. :thumbsup2

I would love the see the Princess Diana exhibit! What a fun thing to surprise your mom with for Mother's Day! I checked out the exhibitions information--can you believe the next stop of the tour is Grand Rapids, MI? I told DH and he said we would figure out a time to go! Thank you so much for mentioning this!!

It was a lot of fun---My mom said over and over how much she enjoyed it. Her wedding dress is just amazing, all stretched out for you to see that 25 ft. long train. :)

That's so great that it's coming to MI---I can't remember, do you live in Grand Rapids? (My DH has to travel there every couple of months for work.)

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, too! :goodvibes

I bet the exhibit was amazing!!! How nice to be able to enjoy it with your mom and sister!!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!! And I really enjoyed your last flashback b/c it brings back wonderful memories of the Poly!! Can't wait to be back there in 12 days!!

I loved the exhibit---the wedding dress was just beautiful. I remember watching the wedding that summer when I was 13. :)

I had a good Mother's Day---Hope you had a wonderful one, too. :goodvibes

We are getting so close to our trip times, Becky. I can hardly stand it!

We have an ADR there for our trip, but I am getting that itch to change something again so one of our ADRs may have to go down..........:lmao:.

I love your mini reports :thumbsup2.

Thanks, Dana! :)

Hmmmmmm, those itches can cause problems! You better take care of that! ;)

Thanks, Denise---I really love looking back at old pictures of the trips we took when the girls were younger. :)

We really had a nice trip to the exhibit. I think my mom really enjoyed it, and it was definitely a nice surprise for her.

The girls grew up a lot between those two trips! How neat that you guys were chosen to receive a dream!! LOVE the Poly pics! I'm hoping we can stay there someday (soon). :rolleyes1 ;)

Thanks, Michelle---We love  love, the Poly! It's such a beautiful, peaceful resort.

Me, too! We sat out on the swing Sunday after breakfast and just let the girls play around in the sand. The sky was blue, a breeze was blowing the palm trees, the sound of the waves were in the background, the castle was in view.....

It was pretty close to perfect. :)

What a great flashback Michelle! Those girls are really growing between trips.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I would love to see that wedding dress! :goodvibes

Wow SO Close!

Yes, they did---Elizabeth hit that 13 year old mark, and they really change when they get to those pre-teen years!

I hope you get to stay there someday too, Julia! It is a beautiful, relaxing resort! :)

Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Mother's Day morning! :cloud9:

YAY !!! :yay: I missed the party yesterday. Our high school baseball team played for a state championship that morning in Montgomery. I took a van of girls down to watch game 2, and game 3 if it had been necessary. (We had won game 1 the night before). Left Florence at 5:30 in the morning- and our guys won the second game! So, state champs in 2A baseball! :cheer2: Beat a team from your way, Dana---Leroy.

I am so excited that we are in single digits now, Dana!

What a great flashback Michelle! Those girls are really growing between trips.
They do grow up, Leanne---You'll be shocked in a few years, when yours are teenagers. It seems as if it happens overnight. :upsidedow

Well, wow---a new car sounds great, except for car payments! ;)

You are really close----I just realized today how close I am, and I think I'm going into panic mode!

After our May 2007 trip, I got caught up in the excitement of “free dining” during the fall. I decided that I wanted to go back the next year during the FD time period. I anxiously awaited the release of it and called the first day it was released to Disney Visa holders. We planned to stay at POR (Since we had just been a year before, Kevin nixed the idea of deluxe digs, and said mod or don’t go! Well, what’s a girl to do then---MOD! ;) ) We planned to go the week of Labor Day, so that the kids would only miss four days of school. Elizabeth was going to be a freshman in HS, and they are on a block schedule, so four days really was more like 8 days of instruction.

For this trip, Elizabeth was 14, Rachel was 12, and Reid was 5, almost 6. This was the first time we took Reid with us to Disney. Most of you know that he is my nephew, but came to live with us January 2007. We had not taken him with us during our May 2007 trip, because the trip was already planned , and the girls had a rough time adjusting to life with another child in the house. They needed some time during that trip, to be with us, just the two of them.

We flew out of Nashville on Sunday morning, August 31. After using ME to get to our resort, we promptly headed over to Magic Kingdom. We had dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern, and planned to stay for EMH that evening---regular closing time was midnight---We were going to try to close down the park at 3 a.m! :scared1:

Because I don’t have my photo album handy, I really can’t tell you a lot of details about these nights, so I’ll just let the pictures speak for our trip.

Glad to report that we did make it to 3 a.m.! When we got on the bus, it was packed---no seats. Reid sat down on the floor, criss-cross (applesauce), and laid his head in his lap. He was sound asleep before the bus even got out of the parking lot. :)

Needless to say, everyone slept in the next day. Day 2 was Monday, September 1---Labor Day. I think we went to DHS.

IMGP0462.jpg

We bought Mickey ears for Reid, and he wore them every day.

IMGP0396.jpg

_____ (I can’t remember her name---Some of you with younger children will know who I’m talking about!) pointed to Elizabeth’s shirt and gave her a thumbs-up ! :thumbsup2

Now, after this, I am fuzzy on where we went Tuesday, 9/2 , Wednesday 9/3, and Thursday, 9/4, so I’ll just group them by park/or restaurants. I need to get this flashback finished, and still rewind on three more trips, before I leave in 9 days ! ;)

POR---

first and only time I’ve seen a snake at Disney! :scared1: Hope it’s the last! This little fellow was in the pool one evening. He’s on the tile border---kind of blends in with it.
