There may still have been steam coming from my ears as we continued through Frontierland on our way to Toontown.

I had to take a few deep breaths, remind myself where we were, and move on!
Since we were walking right by, we headed into the Haunted Mansion for some more spooky fun! There is so much to look at on this ride that I could ride it 100 times and still find something new. I just noticed the glowing footsteps climbing the stairs!
I think Jonah is trying to look spooky and may be ready to send Dan off to join the rest of the men with no heads by chopping his off with his Jack Sparrow sword!
Our walk to Toontown was uneventful and we headed straight into the county fair tent (aka gift shop!) to see what the line to meet the Fairies looked like.
On our last trip we had stood in line for an hour to see the Princesses. Just Jonah and I....the other boys went and rode Buzz again. But Jonahs little friend wanted him to bring her back a picture of Aurora so Jonah agreed to stand in line...he really likes this little girl!

I was (not so) secretly thrilled because, with three boys, my opportunities to see the Princesses are few and far between!

Sadly Aurora wasnt there, but we saw Belle, Cinderella, and Snow White (MY FAVORITE!!).
All that to say this...we werent doing Princesses this time. However, I did want to try to see Tink if the line was reasonable. It wasnt...it was posted at 60 minutes and we just didnt want to wait that long at this time of day. So....we shopped some and then headed to the train.
Our plan was to take the train to Main Street and then head leisurely toward the castle and on to Columbia Harbour House for something to eat. Jeff had been looking for a hat to replace his old beat-up Orioles cap and figured the hat shop on Main Street was a good place to check.
All Aboard! I really enjoy the train ride! Its quiet and a great time to rest those tired Disney feet. It also takes us by Space Mountain, which was closed for refurb, but its a great view!
We disembark on Main Street and the lights are just coming on in the shops and on the castle.
BEAUTIFUL!
Jeff did find a hat he liked at the hat shop and actually purchased it. Getting Jeff to make purchases for himself is fairly difficult. Heres his find.
Its pretty plain, but its got this cute little hidden Mickey on it!
It was now just past 8:00 pm and people were lining the streets for Spectro. We werent watching that parade on this night so we happily strolled down Main Street and enjoyed the warm, beautiful evening. Whats not to enjoy...look at the view!
We made it through the gathering Spectro crowd and to Columbia Harbour House just as they were getting ready to close. Whew! We were hungry! Jonah got the kids Mac and Cheese, both older boys got the chicken strips, Jeff got the famous tuna sandwich and I got the BLT salad. Unfortunately the upstairs seating area had already been cleaned and closed for the night so we sat in the little dining area off to the right of the door. My salad was very, very good! Jeff enjoyed his tuna, but just wished it had been bigger. The apple crisp for dessert was wonderful! YUM!
With full bellies and some time to kill before heading out in front of the castle for Wishes, we went into a nearly empty Fantasyland to see what we could see. We rode Cinderellas Carousel first...Dan opted out of this one!
Next we zipped over to Snow Whites Scary Adventures....NO LINE! Now....a small disclaimer before I post these pics. Jeff had the camera. HE broke the no flash photography rule, not me! I kept telling him, but you see how that went! Oh well...luckily we were all alone so we didnt bother anyone else. BAD JEFF!
It was about 9:30 and Spectro was over. Time to head into the crowd and try to find a spot for Wishes. On our 2007 trip, we had Wishes on the schedule for one night and it was our last night at WDW. Much to my disappointment, Tink did not fly that night and I had been waiting 2 years to see her. This time, we planned to see Wishes this night, but if for some reason Tink did not fly, we could also catch in on our next MK day. I was planning ahead this time...I wasnt missing her again.
As you can imagine, seeing Tink was something I had talked about frequently. Therefore, my dear husband wanted to be sure that I had a GREAT view of her. Unfortunately, I had mistakenly believed that a lot of people would vacate Main Street after Spectro and we would be able to find a spot without a problem.
BOY WAS I WRONG! Do you remember me saying that Jeff does not handle elbow-to-elbow crowds or chaotic situations well?? This was both. OH BOY. AND....he was bent on being sure I got a good viewing spot for Tink. I just wanted to be in FRONT of the castle, not in Frontierland or behind it, but I guess I had not communicated that well, so he believed I wanted to be in a CERTAIN spot. All of those factors...crazy crowd, 5 people to keep together, his desire to make me happy, miscommunication.....all led to the one thing that wouldnt make me happy. A FIGHT!

Well, more of a disagreement....I was trying to just stop ANYWHERE and stand to watch the show, he kept pushing forward to find the PERFECT spot.....UGH....anyway. Anyone of you who is married can see where this is going.
FINALLY...we figured it out and just found a spot ON the street to stand and face the castle.
We couldnt sit, but it was fine. The weather was seemingly perfect and I was on the lookout for Tink. The show began and I was all set to be disappointed again, when....WAIT...what is that?? Its TINK!!! No, I didnt take a picture because I didnt want to miss anything and I didnt think it would turn out anyway. But, there she was in all of her tiny, iridescent, flying glory! I dont know if it was the 2 years of waiting, the emotions from the argument with Jeff, or the long day....but it brought tears to my eyes. Maybe it was none of those things and Im just a big SAP!
The show was AMAZING as usual. I am terrible at fireworks shots, but here is one that turned out pretty well.
After the crow fiasco before Wishes, we decided to just take our time getting out after Wishes and strolled through the shops on our way to the gate. Lets recap our day, shall we.

Throw in some pixie dust, lots of pressed pennies, and some Disney magic and you have the PERFECT day at MK!
We got to the bus stop to see the POR line VERY long as usual. We made the decision to ride the waiting POFQ bus and then walk the river path back home. Jonahs feet were tired and he was a little cranky and not thrilled with this decision, but I think it worked out for the best.
Tomorrow.....DHS and our first look at Toy Story Mania. As you can imagine, we all fell into bed and dreamed of what was to come!
Did we wait forever to ride TSM?? Was it crazy to go to DHS on a Fantasmic day? We havent lost anything for a few days...will our luck hold out?? Stay tuned....and thanks for reading!
