I was afraid of that when I picked Scotty up from work earlier.
Did you hear that there was a tornado in Santa Rosa today?
Did it touch down?

Hi Andrea, there are hardly ever tornados here especially in March. Its really odd. And the fact that it touched down is more weird.
Hello! You guys have talked about way more then I could ever catch up on.
I feel gross and disgusting. You know who came for her monthly visit today. I will be happy when she lose's my address and never comes and visits again.![]()

I had a hard time catching up too.
And how I know that feeling. Glad I got a bit of a break from it. Too bad it's going to be 10 times as bad after!

I have been told it's a yucky time for about 6 weeks right after the baby is born. Not looking forward to that at all.
True That...not the most fond memory of the whole bringing your miracle into the world thing...
Yeah, not looking forward to that while learning to take care of a newborn!
Well you have all us experienced Moms on the DIS if you need help or advice or just somewhere to vent right?
Yes! I am very grateful for that!![]()
Thats all you really need is someone who is willing to listen when you get overwhelmed...here is the best piece of advice I ever got...My 1st daughter Amy had been crying "forever" and I was sooooo tired...I had done everything. I called my Mom who said what time is it on your clock? I told her and she said Is she fed, burped & dry? Yes..then put her down and walk away...if she is still crying in 15 minutes call me back.
That girl nor any of my others ever cried to the 15 minutes unless they were ill etc. Something about not knowing how long it has really been makes it seem like they have been crying forever. Look at your clock believe me actually knowing how long "forever" is makes you so much calmer.

I'm sitting talking with Tessa, my 13 year old 7th grader. She has been having problems with a couple girls at school being really hateful to her. You don't know how bad i want to go in that school find those two girls and knock the crap out of them. Why are girls so mean and cruel? She said the one girl just came up to her in PE class earlier this week and told her, "I have a new name for you, it's ugly b**ch". Tessa has no clue why this girl did that. But it really hurt her, and I feel bad. The girl did get in trouble, so that's good. I just don't know whats wrong with kids these days, I realize kids have never been total angels, and there were mean ones when i was in school. But todays kids are mean on a different level. I don't know if it's lack of discipline or what.
