It took a few nights of me standing outside his door crying at night because I felt mean. But I stuck with it, and it paid off in about 3 nights.

I CIO (Cry It Out) really does work. I know some people aren't fans, but for me personally I needed my personal space, my bed to myself, etc. It worked really well for DD7, I don't remember it being a long process.

I'm sitting talking with Tessa, my 13 year old 7th grader. She has been having problems with a couple girls at school being really hateful to her. You don't know how bad i want to go in that school find those two girls and knock the crap out of them. Why are girls so mean and cruel? She said the one girl just came up to her in PE class earlier this week and told her, "I have a new name for you, it's ugly b**ch". Tessa has no clue why this girl did that. But it really hurt her, and I feel bad. The girl did get in trouble, so that's good. I just don't know whats wrong with kids these days, I realize kids have never been total angels, and there were mean ones when i was in school. But todays kids are mean on a different level. I don't know if it's lack of discipline or what.

I know what you mean. There was a girl in DD7's class (1st grade!!!) that was calling other girls b**ches I don't get it

Morning! It's pretty grey and soggy over here. No rain currently, but yesterday/last night was enough to cancel softball games today. That works pretty good for me because I have a girlfriend's birthday brunch to attend and now I don't have to rush out to go to DD7's game at 1:30. My MIL is coming over to babysit, and now she doesn't have to take DD7 to a game

Right now I'm sipping coffee and having a lazy morning DD7 is playing Mario Kart

Morning! It's soggy here too, but that's cause all our snow is melting!!! Might not last long, cause we are supposed to get more today, but hopefully those weather people are wrong for once!

So my brother and his girlfriend got me 2 Vinylmations. I ended up getting Wheezy from Toy Story and Donald from the Have A Laugh Series. Donald is my first double. So If anyone is wanting to trade for him, you can have him.

It's miserably wet out here. I don't like the rain! My sister is heading back up to Humboldt today so we all went out for breakfast first. I've barely seen her since she's been home.

That seemed like a quick spring break. And I think I would rather a melting snow kind of wet than rain! At least the sun is out for us at the moment.

My contact there seems confident I will. I definitely need the change and it's a a full time position with better wages than where I am now. And I'm really not liking this whole being back at school thing right now.

The full time work would be nice! You get a set schedule instead of random shifts here and there. I always liked that better. Plus if you still decided to do school, it's late enough that you could go after work, isn't it?

The set hours would be a huge bonus. It's more of a rotating schedule so my actual days would vary but it would be consistent. My friend who passed the job along thinks I'll get it. But I'm not in a good place where I'm at right now. I'm lucky if I can swing more than 2 days of work a week lately!

I'm doing alright. That would be really good if you can get that job. It would be regular hours, and hopefully not very stressful. I don't think most people have exciting jobs. We work to survive, not because we want to. I know there are people out there doing their dream job, but how many, I don't know. I have been at my non-dream job for over 15 years now.

I am doing good! I just heard from the government (on a Saturday!!!) that I am going to be getting paid this week finally for the two months I have been off work! Yay!!! I am so happy. That's such a huge weight off.

You're absolutely right Chrissie. And right now any dream job is one that isn't where I am now. It's been great while I've been there minus the normal ups and downs. I'm just ready to move on and it will be nice to have some kind of real routine for a change. It's time I grew up a little bit, lol.

Andrea, that's awesome! So you're getting money from the entire 2 months you've been out? I think a weight off your shoulders is an understatement.

Yes, they said they'd pay me right from Jan 16th, when my last day of work was up until the end of Feb. And then my regular payments start after that. I am celebrating by ordering the Stitch Vinylmation I have been wanting, lol. But that's all I am spending. Don't want to go overboard!
