We arrived this evening and have been noticing the preparations for the hurricane. Who knows what we are in for tomorrow, but, who cares? We are at WDW!

Anyway, we are on the West wing, on the 9th floor in a one bedroom executive suite.
The hallways on this floor have been re-done and really look nice. When I can, I will get some photos for those of you who have been asking what they look like.

If you have any questions, ask away and I shall try to find the answer for you.

Thanks for posting. Please let us know what happens with the hurricane tomorrow. We were at the Dolphin in July - east wing, Epcot view --- the best!! :D

YAY!!! The 9th floor west wing! That is where we stayed! Can't wait to see your pictures!

Stay safe and have a wonderful stay! I have been reading that the weather is usually wonderful after a hurricane!

Executive Suite, lucky you! Can't wait to see some photos!

In the mean time, stay safe and dry! :sunny:

Be sure to stay away from the windows. The hurricane has taken a slight turn and they are expecting hurricane force winds in the Orlando area.

Be careful over there. I guess if you have to wait out a hurricane, an executive suite is the way to do it.
:D Hopefully it will all be over soon.

We are still waiting and watching. According to weather reports, we are in the direct path of Charlie, with no signs that it is losing strength.
Dolphin management is sending out updates via voicemail. So far, all services continue as usual, altho there may be some housekeeping shortages.
The restaurants will stay open as usual.

Absolutely--it is nice to have the extra space to move around in.

Hope you are safe and sound at the Dolphin! Great hotel with a great staff who I bet are doing their best to make everyone's stay during these unfortunate events as enjoyable as possible!

I just got back from the Dolphin this afternoon- not a family trip but my firm had a conference there all week (I know-really rough!). I moved up my flight to try to make it out before the bad weather hit. The Dolphin was sending out voicemail messages and was definitely prepared and keeping the guests informed.

I miss my 9th fl East wing view already!!!

The strange part is last night we enjoyed great weather and a night out at MGM, tonight they are facing a hurricane!

Can't wait to go back with the family in September at the Poly Conceirge.

This is why she is our SAFETYmom :teeth:

Hope your vacation can be in full swing soon, but in the meantime stay safe and have fun in that wonderful suite!

Stay safe and hopefully it will move through quickly and you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your stay. Our prayers are with you.-Stacey

No, I don't, but, we were at JellyRolls with a lot of people who do. When you said you were here for work, I had to ask.

Hey Poohlovr , where are those pictures you promised? Dying to see the Executive Suite... any showing the view you had?
