Hello from the 12/28 Magic

Hello all from the 12/28 Magic. Not to much to report yet. We got off to a really late start last night. It sounds like they were waiting for a group of travelers whose plane was delyed. As soon as we got underway it seemed that the Captain was making up for lost time. We were moving fast and you could really feel the boat rocking. We were at the early show when we left port and you knew it right away. I felt sorry for the juggler because the stage was swaying.

We has a DIS meet at the sailawy party but not to many DIS folks showed. It doesn't seem that there are toom any of us on this sailing.

Looks like a noon arrival at Key West. I am looking out the portal and it looks a little overcast and windy. We Were not expecting too much here.. just hoping that it warms up at sea.

OK, I've missed something. (It's not the first time, and it won't be the last! ) But what's the deal with these Magic cruises? Are they short? Or are they Tuesday-Monday? I feel like I entered the Twilight Zone! LOL

Have a great cruise! I have 2 DIS friends traveling with their families on your cruise as well. Sounds like they had a bumpy evening.

ChrizJen- this is a special extended cruise. It's 10 days (or is it nights?).

Can't wait until it's our turn!!!

Actually, the Dec. 18th sailing was 10 days, the Dec. 28th sailing is 7 days, then the Jan. 4th sailing is 4 days. After that, the Magic will be back to sailing on Saturdays starting Jan. 8th.

Thanks for the live report. I had to laugh as I thought you were going to say you got a late start because some of our 12/18 crew wouldn't get off.

First day at Sea and the weather is amazing!!! It is warm and sunny and the water is calm. As you can suspect the pools are packed to with kids and everyone seems to be havong a great time.

Last night was who wants to me a Mousekater(sp?). The kids loved it. My husband finally succeeded in impressing my 13 year old. One of the questions was who was the last person to say hello on the orginal Mickey Mouse club show. My DD was so embarassed when he was the only person in the "ask the audience" to clap for Jimmy. Well it turns out he was right .. or as I said later just older than the rest of the people in the audience. It's too bad he did not get called up he is the king of the unusal fact.

The only dark spot in our otherwise sunny vacation has been the teen club.
We sent our 13 year old the first night and it was packed. She never saw a counselor or met a kid. In the past she has always made so many friends on the ship. We are feeling bad that we are traveling with people who have a friend for my son but not a child my daughters age. If any of you have had teens at the Stack and have an idea let me know. We want her to try again.

Our servers are Ivana from Croatia and Micheal from France. They have been wonderful. They got stuck with four really large parties and are running all the time. I know that I could not do that job. Our head waiter is Simon from England. We have not run into Scott. I will try to bring the Navigator tomorrow to give you a full movie run down but the ones I remember are Mr 3000, brother Bear, Princess Diaries 2, National Treasure - showing in the big theatre at 2:00 today. The movie night movie is The Incrediables.

We are off to our Palo's brunch in a few minutes. I will eat extra for all of you!

Sounds like you are having a great time!We had Simon as our head waiter also.He was great.He did a trick for us at our table every evening or said a joke or twur table always had a combat for him<G>.

I am sorry to hear about your dd.I hope she finds someone in the club her age.

My DGS did not enjoy the teen club, he is a little shy, so he walked the ship and met people that way. By the end he had a flock. Maybe she will meet someone on deck.
