On our first trip in '06 DD (6 at the time) didn't make the cut to ride the coaster in Dinoland in AK. I thought it looked pretty tame, so the next day we went back with sneakers on and she made the cut. Big mistake!
It was too rough for her; she lacked the core strength to keep her from being slammed around (and she's a dancer with a pretty strong core!). I felt horrible; my stubborness and flaunting of the rules made it a less-than-enjoyable experience for her.
