Please help. I've seen lots of posts about minimum height requirements, but need information on ride height restrictions for very tall folks. I'm traveling, soon to WDW, Seaworld, and Universal with my 15 yr. old nephew who is nearly 6'7" tall. He's still a fun-loving, adventure-seeking kid, at heart, and willing to take his smaller cousin on the kiddie rides, too. I'm just worried he won't fit on any rides, and will be left out. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Have never seen signs restricting tall people. My brother is about 6' 5', never had an issue on rides. Of course the airplane ride down is another issue altogether! :rotfl:

My DH is 6'3", and he hasn't had any issues not fitting., although he often eats his knees. I haven't even seen max height rules!

I can tell you that not all rides are created equal, though. The teacups are really tight for DH, for instance. There seems to be a bit more leg room in the front row of boat rides like at POTC and IASW, so he can ask to have those rows for added space.

I can't speak about Seaworld or Universal, but WDW really doesn't have "kiddie rides." There might be some rides that might not be as comfortable for him (I'm thinking about the Barnstormer, possibly Space Mountain), but I can't think of a single one where being too tall would be prevent him from riding.

He may be uncomfortable (not enough leg room) but there should be no issues with being able to ride anything.

My brother is a huge guy and that's one nice thing about Disney. He lives right by Busch Gardens but he is too big/tall to ride many things there. No problems/restrictions at Disney.

Rip Ride Rocket at US does have a max height. My family is not even close so I don't know what it is but there is a sign that reads something like "above this height may not ride." I've never seen any maximum heights at WDW.

My husband is 6'5. Space Mountain is REALLY REALLY uncomfortable for him. He fits, but his legs are completely bruised after the ride.

Other than that he fits in everything. Teacups are a tad tight.

ETA: We haven't done Universal or SeaWorld.

At 6'7", Space Mountain is the only WDW attraction that may be problematic. If he wants to ride, he must be able to endure some pain.

Rock 'n' Roller coaster has slightly more room in the front of each 2-row car.

He may have to exercise caution when riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with smaller people. Both of those attractions have a shared lap bar, and he could get squished if his seat-mate pulls the bar down hard. (My daughter has bruised me with those lap bars on multiple occasions.) Or his neighbour may feel insecure if they have too much wiggle room while your nephew fits snug.

In summary, everyone will be safe, but there may be discomfort issues for both your nephew and his seat-mates on each of the Magic Kingdom "Mountains".

Also, if he volunteers to ride The Barnstormer with younger riders, let him, but take lots of pictures of him with his knees around his chin. He may never want to ride it again. ;-)

Some of the roller coasters at Universal might be an issue for him. Ones that have shoulder restraints are possibly going to be uncomfortable or impossible for him to sit in. Most of the coasters that have this type of isssue will have a couple of sample seats outside the line that he can try to see if he will fit or not.

My son and SIL are 6'7" and they both ride everything without issue. Your son will not have any issues and be able enjoy his trip easily although he will feel like he wants to duck on space mountain LOL!

From the Universal website:
*Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit® - Must be at least 51" and no more than 79"

I'm on my 5 foot and I find the tea cups uncomfortable too lol

DH is 6'6. Never any issues. He will not raise his hands on Space Mountain, though. He just knows they will be decapitated if he does :lmao:
