What can you tell about this store? Are their hams really that heavenly?

I saw the name of this store in a trip report I read a few years back. The writer mentioned buying ham salad. I love ham salad, but don’t get it unless I make it.

When I was in Virginia Beach a couple of years ago, I saw it listed in the restaurant guide, but since it was not very close to the resort area, we didn’t make it there.

Anyway, I love ham so I’m curious about it and wishing we had one nearby so I could check it out.

It's pretty good....:D

Honeybaked is also nice.

Our box lunches for meetings and such usually come from Heavenly Ham. I usually pass, but from what I've heard, the ham sandwiches are very good!

I don't eat Babe, Bambi or LambChop!

Heavenly and Honey Baked are both good, but expensive. Here, grocery stores usually have spiral sliced honey hams on sale for $1.49 a pound a few times a year. The grocery ones are $10-$15 vs. $40-$50 for the specialty store ones. Got one of the former in my refrigerator right now.

Love Heavenly Hams! :) I totally think they are worth the money... every one I've ever gotten was very juicey and the yummy crunchy stuff on the rim!!! Yummmmm!!! :p

YUM! DH's company sent us one last year for Christmas.
YUM! We have Honeybaked here in Columbus and they
compare. Rare is the grocery spiral cut that will compare.
Heavenly Ham, yum! Did I say YUM?!

They are good, but they are good for a reason. They are pumped full of "sugar water" and coated with crispy brown sugar coating.

Yes, they are yummy. They are also deadly.

Next thing you'll be telling us that Krispy Kremes aren't health food. LOL

I've never tried either. We just put a paste of brown sugar and mustard on top of the ham and if we're really fancy we decorate with pineapple slices and maraschino cherries.

But now I have a craving for ham salad. My mother used to make it and I haven't had it since. I wonder if I can figure out from memory what she put in it.

I agree with jipsy, a sensible serving is hardly "deadly."

Personally, I really love That Mustard they use....mmm mmmm yummy!
