Are the pools at OKW heated? We are looking at a last minute trip in about 7 days and would like to be able to swim.

If the are heated how warm are they?

All the pools at WDW are heated. But in the winter months they aren't that warm. Maybe 70 degrees.

Historically the pools have been kept at 82-84 degrees. We were at OKW in January a few years ago and the local pool near building 55 felt like bath water! If the air temperature was in the mid 70s or above, we went swimming and it was great.

Disney can be inconsistent on this though so just because the pools are warm one year doesn't mean they will be that warm the next year. On our trip in mid October we noticed that both pools at BWV felt cooler than usual, as was the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon.

I have a pool thermometer in my Owners Locker but forgot to go back to the BWV pools to get an actual measurement but DH agreed that the pools were colder than usual so it wasn't just me. I did measure the BWV pools in mid October last year and as I recall both pools were around 82 degrees.

ETA: I found my BWV pool readings from last year: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=42960395 Granted, this is BWV not OKW but it will give you some idea of what to expect.

Last year at POFQ in November, the water felt like ice cubes. I hope this year it will be a little warmer because I would like to take my kids swimming at least one time.

We have been at all times of the year and have never had the water too cold to swim. We even went to BB one time Christmas week and the life guards all had long sleeved shirts and long pants and had the same thing in January at SSR and the water was fine in the high 70s low 80s. Have never had a cold pool at OKW which is where we stay the most so think you will be just fine as long as you don't expect 90 degrees. There have been times when the air has been cold in Dec, Jan and Feb so when you get out it can be a problem.

Worth noting, I live in Georgia and our evenings have been 80 degress plus for most of the month so it won't be cold in FL!

We were at OKW last week and the main pool was fine. We also used the pools at SSR- the Paddock Pool was fine, but the Springs pool was FREEZING!
