Heat, Humidity, and Our Favorite Disney Dog Was a Thug! LINK TO NEW PTR!!

What a great day! The AquaDuck looks really cool. Is it like a water coaster?

You have to walk through the restaurant? Not an ideal design huh?

I was laughing as I was reading your sunscreen saga. I don't really have to wear the stuff-ever, but Maddie is the sunscreen police. She reminds me to put it on her. :rotfl:

Looks like a great start to the day and spa time coming up too! :thumbsup2

Since a lot of people probably got off the ship, would you say that there was half as many people at the pool? Or less? I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, normally is it pretty easy to get a chair near the people where you can see the kids or do you have to get there bright and early to secure one?

Looks like a wonderful day!

Christine

Your pics are lovely but they are making me sooooo sad!!! I want to be back on the ship N-O-W!

We ate breakfast at Royal Court a few mornings last week. I really liked breakfast there.

Grand Cayman was the one port we really liked on the Western itinerary. The water there is gorgeous!

Sounds like y'all were having a very nice start to the day! :thumbsup2

Following along on all your wonderful trip reports! I really enjoy reading them. I'm trying to decide myself between a trip to DL or a cruise. Oh the possibilities.

Looks like a perfect day so far!! :beach:
Definitely! :goodvibes

Pool time and a spa appointment? That sounds like a perfect day to me!! The aquaduck looks like a lot of fun, too!
It was a great way to spend the day. And the AquaDuck is a blast!

I am loving your TR!!!
Oh, thank you so much! :goodvibes

It's getting me sooo excited! You see... I'm a single mom, and after two trips to WDW with other (wonderful) people who we love very much, we've decided to go the next trip just DS (7) and I! I was feeling a bit apprehensive about it, but I just knew we would enjoy it so much! reading your TR is taking away some of that anxiety!
Oh, I'm so glad that my report could help. I think you and your son will have a wonderful time together. Willow and I have often traveled with others to various places, but really, when it comes right down to it, the trips that we take just the two of us are truly the best. pixiedust:

Willow is absolutely adorable by the way! She reminds me of my son in her love for the characters. My DS just wants to meet everyone! I can't wait to keep reading and I've subscribed to your DL TR as well!
That's great that your son is a character-hound too! Isn't it fun???? I hope you will continue to read along and join in the fun - and thanks for checking out the DLR Tr too! :goodvibes

:confused3 I don't know what a water coaster is. :rotfl2: It's really fun though! You will love it. ;)

You have to walk through the restaurant? Not an ideal design huh?
Yeah, it is honestly the only negative thing I have to say about the Fantasy, so I guess it's not too bad.

My father was a dermatologist, so I have had it drilled into my head. And I still forget! Maddie will have to police me too. ;) I totally burned that day, by the way…..

It was fabulous! :woohoo:

Definitely on port days, I had no problem getting a chair wherever I wanted. I believe we did hit the pools on one sea day - definitely way more crowded, but I never had a problem finding a spot from which I could see the pool. And I believe that our cruise was fully booked. :thumbsup2

Looks like a wonderful day!
Such a great day! :goodvibes

Great pics! :)
Thanks! :goodvibes

Oh, I bet - post-DCL blues. :(

We ate breakfast at Royal Court a few mornings last week. I really liked breakfast there.
I really enjoyed it too - we were BIG fans of having lunch there as well. ::yes::

Grand Cayman was the one port we really liked on the Western itinerary. The water there is gorgeous!
I bet! I'm sure we'll get off the ship at some point on a future cruise. ;)

Sounds like y'all were having a very nice start to the day! :thumbsup2

Hello!!! Thank you so much for following along and for posting! I hope you will continue to do both. :good vibes
Ugh - that's not an easy decision. Both are so fantastic!

Looks like a great day so far! I am dying to try an aquaduct! The sunscreen thing is so funny. Last summer Charlotte was so trained after we got her suit out she got in sunscreen position...arms out. It was cute, but I am sure we will have to re-train her this year!

Just popping in to say...Etsy too???!!

When DO YOU sleep???:rotfl: Your stuff to too adorable by the way. And we all know how cute your muse is!

Christine

Sounds like a wonderful, relaxing day on the ship (in spite of the sunscreen debacle)!

The Aqua Duck looks like a lot of fun. DD and DS both wanted to try the cruise just for that reason! Were the lines long to ride it every day?

DH and I received our scuba certification in the Caymans!! Wonderful islands, and the water is sooooo awesome there! Ahhhhhh, those were the days!

All caught up ALL caught up I am so proud of that Went back and started reading from page one even managed an update of my own pixiedust: I actually went back because I am starting to do our ADRs for the trip in Sept Never ate at AP at WL so based on your report I am definitely looking to add that one

Glad you enjoyed Mama Melrose and The Garden Grill we have been going to both for a VERY long time Garden Grill is the BEST character interaction on property I agree LOVED the pictures of Willow and Pluto doing the Hot Dog Dance so cute Ok your turn tell us about your spa appt I really need to do that someday

The AquaDuck is a blast! You would love it!!! I bet Charlotte will remember pretty quickly - they are such smart little cookies.

I don't do a lot of sleeping….. :rotfl2:

And thank you - you are so sweet! :goodvibes

It was! There is nothing more relaxing than a DCL cruise for me. I love it!

You just have to be smart about when you do it - so don't plan to do it during an at-sea day unless you have no choice. Lines were very short while we were in port. I have also heard that the lines are short during the first dining rotation and in the evenings. :thumbsup2

Ahhhhh - I wish I was on a sandy warm beach right now…...

:woohoo: Nice job, Ruthie! AP was wonderful - we will definitely be going back there. ::yes::

Agree about GG - we will never be able to go to WDW and skip it again!

Mini Off-Topic Update

Hey there! Sorry I have been kind of DIS-absent this week. Work has been busy, and I have been bitten by the Sewing Bug, so I’ve been busy making stuff during my “down time.” I plan to have TR updates (here and on the DLR report) done tonight or this weekend, but for now, I wanted to show you what I’ve been working on!

I have friends who are having a baby in May - their nursery is elephant themed. So I made them this little onesie!

Willow always enjoys sporting clothing that features desserts, so I made this yesterday.

And quite some time ago, when I was just learning how to applique, I made this little shirt for Willow.

Of course, because I am who I am, that little shirt has now turned into an enormous project. Yep - I know you have guessed it - cupcake shirts for just about every character I can come up with to take on our summer trip! I finally got started today and made this one for her.

Thanks for letting me share! I have been having a lot of fun with these projects. And I’m excited now to get caught up on some TRs and then get some TR updates written tonight! :woohoo:

oh....my....GOSH! are you going to put that goofy cupcake shirt on your etsy shop? because Hannah is SSSOOOOO gonna need one of those!

and that elephant onesie is adorable too! I think it's so fun to make baby stuff!

Oh, thank you so much! I wasn't sure if anyone else would "get" it the way Willow and I do. I will send you a message here in a sec. :goodvibes

I am so happy my friends are having this baby - mostly because I'm really happy for them to have a baby, but also because I GET TO MAKE BABY STUFF!!!! It's so fun!!! :woohoo:

Adorable shirts. Do you buy the appliques and then just sew them on?
Thanks!

Oh, goodness, no! I figure out what I want to make, go find the right fabrics for each part, cut out all the little pieces, and then sew each little piece. It sounds excruciating, but it is really fun! :goodvibes

I don't do a lot of sleeping….. :rotfl2:

OK, because you are making me feel like a complete slacker! :rotfl: Whatever your eating to give you all that energy, let me know. I need high doses!

The baby onsie and the cupcakes are too cute! Now I may need to add planning coordinating outfits for my next trip...hmm.

Christine
