Okay - this is the best auto-correct ever - Willow meets Vodka!

OH MY GOSH!! I just realized what that said!! Good grief--i hope Willow wasnt meeting vodka at disney! :rotfl: Why do I even try to DIS on my phone? I seriously changed it to Vidia more then once and it still changed it back. Oh, autocorrect, how you torment me! but I have to admit I woke up my sleeping DH I laughed so loud at it!

:rotfl2: Honestly, that was so funny!!!!!! I thought I was going to die I was laughing so hard. I mean, I've seem some great auto-corrects, but that was priceless!

And kudos to you for even attempting to DIS from a phone - I can't do it; I always have to wait until I am actually on a real computer.

I have some catching up to do! I love Willow's outfits, and the Lilo one is just too cute! Absolutely perfect for Ohana!
Oh, isn't it hard to stay caught up with everyone???

Thanks! My amazing DIS friend Shannon made that dress - she is wonderful!

That is so bizarre about the Pluto meet and greet. You can definitely tell from the pics that he wasn't into it. I would feel super uncomfortable too, boo. I'm glad Willow didn't really notice though.
It was honestly the weirdest character experience we have ever had! Just bizarre! :confused3

Love Willow's costume changes! The wait for the fairies always looks so long. Good for you for getting through it! That's pretty smart that they have those TV's.
We won't normally ever wait that long, but we REALLY wanted to do this one because of Willow's Periwinkle costume, so you can imagine our disappointment when Tink thought she was Silvermist.

I haven't been to the Crystal Palace in a long time, but I loved it when I was there. Hoping to get back at some point!
Oh, we had such a great time. And I don't think it was JUST because we were in the A/C and away from the crowds.

Roni after all this time I finally realized this TR exists. I fail. I'm sorry lol

Willow is beautiful! Love those Mary Poppins pics!!

I'm gonna go back to catch up!

Roni after all this time I finally realized this TR exists. I fail. I'm sorry lol
Hi Ali! Thanks so much for joining in! It's never too late. And I totally understand how hard it is to catch everyone's TR. I know I have failed completely many times. I'm glad you're here!

Willow is beautiful! Love those Mary Poppins pics!!
Oh, thank you! That 5th birthday trip to DLR was beyond amazing!

I'm gonna go back to catch up!
Good luck!

Awe I love your periwinkle costume! I am not familiar with the fairies at all, so I have never seen the movie Periwinkle comes from, but from the picture I think it looks great! I think that "friend" of Tink's needs some more training!

Your lunch at CP looks like lots of fun! I have never considered going there but DD has just started liking Winnie the Pooh, so I think we may have to hit it up next time. I just love how much Willow loves meeting the characters. You can really tell she is having a great time.

OK so I'm not totally caught up yet (I just finished update 39!) but I wanted to pop in before I forget!

I haven't read the comments in between posts and I'm sure someone has mentioned this... but I have had a lot of luck in the past with calling Disney when pictures don't show up in my PP account. The thing is that you have to know what time you were there (giving them an hour window is not sufficient... you have to be pretty specific), what you were wearing, and it helps to know what the people in front of, or behind you, in line were wearing too. For example...we did a meet & greet with Mickey at one of the Halloween parties and THOSE pictures WERE in our account. On the way out, we found a surprise meet & greet (that I haven't gotten to in my TR yet so I'm not giving it away), but THOSE pics were missing! And I didn't notice until AFTER I ordered our PP CD :sad2: So I called the number on the Photopass website and managed to get a CM who really wanted to help me, which was nice! Because the new PP site tracks the date and time of your pics, and sorts them out by park and/or event, I was able to tell him almost the exact time our meet & greet took place, what we were wearing, where the meet & greet was located, and the fact that the people behind us in line were dressed as the 101 Dalmatians (but thankfully there were only 5 of them!). The CM was able to locate our pics pretty effortlessly and he loaded them to my account. Normally, I would have had to pay to order them but I found a free workaround...I just wasn't able to add any of the borders or autographs, which was fine. I'd rather have the plain picture than no picture at all! I think they only hang onto your pictures for 30 days from the date they are taken though so you have to call within that window. I know it doesn't help you now, but it might in the future!

Willow has me cracking up with all the selfies! I can't blame her for being cranky in that heat! We're adults and we've had our fair share of meltdowns...twice in Epcot and once in DHS. It happens. I've put MYSELF on the bench a few times over the years! :rotfl2:

Your autograph pages are great! I have the same Disney cartridge for my Cricut! It definitely gets easier the more you practice!

You totally have me dying to try Artist Pointe and Garden Grill! I always wanted to try GG but didn't find the menu very appealing (we are NOT healthy eaters, unfortunately), but now I'm really interested in it! I briefly perused the AP menu when I was planning for October but it didn't make the cut. Next time, for sure though!

I was looking at your pics of your view from your room and I was like "hey babe! Look! Our room was alllllllll the way down there, on the other side!" We were on the Swan & Dolphin side in the villas....on the 4th floor. At the VERY END of a VERY LONG hallway. But we also had a "secret door" but I think we only used it once.

OK we're off to the movies to see Catching Fire then it's back to catching up! :goodvibes

Oh I love Crystal Palace. We've never had anything but breakfast there though. So many cute pictures with Willow and the characters. And I had to laugh when you mentioned how she was loving the AC. Boy do I know it! That August heat is brutal!

Just found this what a great tr. can't wait to hear abot the rest of your trip.
Glad to hear you are heading to DL the hotels there will do turn down service (mention miss willow's birthday when requesting turndown also)

Thank you! I am definitely feeling a lot better about that costume now. Tink really should know her own sister!

Your lunch at CP looks like lots of fun! I have never considered going there but DD has just started liking Winnie the Pooh, so I think we may have to hit it up next time. I just love how much Willow loves meeting the characters. You can really tell she is having a great time.
I actually think that CP is one of the better food options in MK. We had breakfast there on our trip before this one, and it was very good as well. I absolutely loved lunch there.

I don't know what it is - Willow is just a really character-oriented kid. She is the same way with Santa, mascots, everything. She just seems to love the whole idea - very magical, I think that's what does it for her. Nothing quite equates to the Disney characters though. :lovestruc

Hi Ali! You are amazing for even trying to start from the beginning. I totally wouldn't blame you if you just joined in from where the TR is now.

You know, I actually did end up contacting PP via the webiste about it when I finally realized they were missing (after ordering and receiving the CD). They were able to find the Alice pictures but not the Goofy ones (which were the ones I was really hoping to get). They did let me add borders and stuff and sent me a new CD. Unfortunately, I recently discovered some other pics that were missed as well, but it is far too late to do anything about it. Frustrating that there were so many that didn't make it to the CD!

Willow has me cracking up with all the selfies! I can't blame her for being cranky in that heat! We're adults and we've had our fair share of meltdowns...twice in Epcot and once in DHS. It happens. I've put MYSELF on the bench a few times over the years! :rotfl2:
Oh, yeah, Willow was definitely not the only one of us who suffered from heat crankiness. That DHS day in particular we were both pretty unglued.

Your autograph pages are great! I have the same Disney cartridge for my Cricut! It definitely gets easier the more you practice!
Thanks! Yes, they definitely got a lot easier, and my later pages look a lot better than my first few pages.

GG is totally a must-do for us now. It was the most fun character dining experience! And AP was so nice - I will definitely go back there as well.

 Don't you just love the BW??? We stayed on the villas side our last trip there - awesome as well. :thumbsup2

OK we're off to the movies to see Catching Fire then it's back to catching up! :goodvibes
Oh, I'm so jealous! I can't even remember the last time I went to an adult movie at the theatre. At LEAST six years ago. I would love to see that one! I hope it was great!!!

We did a CP breakfast on our trip before this one - definitely very good too! We really enjoyed the lunch fare as well. And who doesn't like giant stuffed animals wandering around, right??? :confused3

Welcome!!! Thanks so much for joining in. I hope you will continue to read and post! :woohoo:

We loved our time at DLR for Willow's 5th birthday, so I know we will have a great time there. Didn't know about the turn-down service - I will try to remember to ask! Thanks!

A Real-Life Holiday Update

I thought I would take a moment to share with you about our holiday prep! We are busy getting ready for Christmas, as I’m sure many of you are as well!

First, however, we had Thanksgiving! Last year, my mom and I decided that we were done cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner and cleaning up after all that work. So we started a new tradition - the nice hotel in town, which has a VERY good restaurant, does a Thanksgiving buffet feast. When we tried it last year, it was amazing, so we went back again this year. It was wonderful again.

I think Miss Willow was ready to eat and to have me stop taking pictures.

There was quite an assortment of desserts.

I’m sure no one is surprised to hear that Willow’s favorite part of the meal came from the above section of the feast.

Thanksgiving weekend, we went to see Frozen. Wow! If you haven’t seen this yet, GO! It was really great! We also got our Christmas tree and got to work on the decorating. Here is our tree!

I would guess that at least half of the ornaments on there are Disney-related. But that is still not enough Disney in our Christmas, so….

This is Miss Willow’s bedroom tree.

Yesterday, Miss Willow wrote her note to Santa.

And today we headed down to the local toy store to deliver it in person!

Miss Willow was pretty excited!

So that’s us - we’re having a great time getting ready for the holiday festivities coming up fast. I hope everyone else is too! :woohoo:

A Short Break from the Heat

We left the Crystal Palace at about 1:15. Dream Along with Mickey was going on, and Willow just had to stop to watch.

The birds were putting on a show too.

This was not the best view of the show, so I convinced Miss Willow to move on. We were heading towards Tomorrowland, but we stopped along the way to watch the rest of the show.

As we entered Tomorrowland, we ran into Push, but Willow was kind of oblivious and didn’t want to stop. We had never seen Push before (and I had never told Willow about him), but I was kind of surprised that his mouthpiece (so to speak) was standing so close to him and clearly speaking into something - there was really no missing him at all. I’m hoping it is not usually that obvious!

Shortly after entering Tomorrowland, Willow spotted a Bullseye pillow pet at one of the souvenir kiosks and felt the need to spend some more of her souvenir money right then and there. After she made her purchase, she turned to me, handed me the bag, and said that she had bought it for me! :lovestruc

Our Tomorrowland goal was to obtain FPs for Space Mountain for later.

After getting our FPs, we decided to take a spin on the Peoplemover as we always really enjoy this attraction. So relaxing and calm!

I love the way they have the trees cut here.

Up Next: A Short Break from the Heat Cont.

A Short Break from the Heat Cont.

We headed out of Tomorrowland at about 2:00.

Those 42,835 Snack Credits were weighing on my mind (remember, we were halfway through the trip and had used maybe a handful? at this point - we had 32 of them!!!). So we stopped at the confectionary, and Willow was thrilled to get some cotton candy!

We headed out of the park and were on a bus by 2:10.

We were back at the BWI before 2:30, and our Mousekeeper had once again left us all kinds of cute arrangements of stuffies and blankies and a new towel animal!

We showered and then sat on the balcony, eating cotton candy and watching a storm roll in. Thunder was roaring, and we could hear a Friendship Boat captain announcing that the boats were closed due to lightening and that buses would be available for Epcot and DHS (normally, from the Epcot resorts, only boats or feet are available for transportation to those parks).

This was a really nice little rest for us. But soon we were ready to head out again!

Up Next: Some New Tomorrowland Experiences

Looks like a fun Holiday tradition!:santa: I just love the Holidays!

The people mover is the best! Looks like you guys had a nice afternoon in tomorrow land!

On the DxDP those snack credits are really hard to use! I felt like they were growing every time we used one we gained two more lol! But we enjoyed the candy and cookies we came home with for weeks after our trip.

Oh, Willow looks so cute with that short haircut! I’m STILL jealous of it!

That is a beautiful big Christmas tree!

We’ve ran into Push a couple of times and I have never been able to find his mouthpiece (of course, it might have been the fact that it was difficult to look for him while playing along for two kids). :confused3

Oh, your own pillow pet! How cute and thoughtful of Miss Willow!

Christine

I love all the Christmas prep pictures! And smart move on Thanksgiving! Sounds like my kind of tradition. I love all of your MK and BWI pictures. Wish I was there. As I look out on the ice all over my yard I think that August heat doesn't sound too bad.

I love your holiday update! That Thanksgiving buffet looks really tasty, especially the desserts! ;) And we adored Frozen as well. I'm hoping to meet Anna and Elsa in Epcot when we go down!

Looks like a fun afternoon in MK. We had trouble spending all of our snack credits just on the regular plan, I can't imagine the deluxe! And I love a good ride on the Peoplemover :)
