Why is the People Mover so great??? We love it, but I have no idea why!

On the DxDP those snack credits are really hard to use! I felt like they were growing every time we used one we gained two more lol! But we enjoyed the candy and cookies we came home with for weeks after our trip.

That is exactly how I felt! Next time, we will use a lot more of them on cold drinks - I think we would have been a lot happier if we had done that.

Oh, Willow looks so cute with that short haircut! I’m STILL jealous of it!

That is a beautiful big Christmas tree!

Thank you! We moved into this house around Christmas time last year. It has these ridiculously high ceilings, so I ended up getting a bigger tree than I have ever had before. It was NOT fun getting the Mickey/Minnie star on top and putting the lights on!

We’ve ran into Push a couple of times and I have never been able to find his mouthpiece (of course, it might have been the fact that it was difficult to look for him while playing along for two kids).

I really think this was an anomaly - it was just TOO obvious.

I was very impressed with and touched by Miss Willow at that moment. It was such an incredibly sweet and thoughtful thing today. Still can't believe that this turned out to be our worst day of the trip as far as melt-downs and such.

I love all the Christmas prep pictures! And smart move on Thanksgiving! Sounds like my kind of tradition. I love all of your MK and BWI pictures. Wish I was there. As I look out on the ice all over my yard I think that August heat doesn't sound too bad.

Funny how easily we forget, isn't it? We have had the coldest winter ever since I have lived here - I'm dreaming of August heat. And then, if someone magically plopped me down in the middle of it, I'd likely be moaning and complaining after 10 minutes.

Thanks! We really enjoy our new Thanksgiving tradition. I am REALLY hoping that Anna and Elsa will still be meeting at Disneyland when we go next month. I know Willow would be super-excited! Are you doing another Trip Report???

Yeah, the snack credit situation was out of control! Next time, I will be smarter and not try to use them on things that are "worth it." We will use the majority for cold drinks, I think.

Some New Tomorrowland Experiences​

After enjoying the stormy view from our balcony, we headed back out again at about 3:15.

​

We were on a bus at 3:23 and walking through the gates of the MK at 3:52.

​

At this point, the ground was wet from the storm, but it wasn’t raining.

​

We headed back to Tomorrowland, and stopped to get a PP picture taken on the way.

​

We picked up some FPs for Buzz and then made the insane decision to do the Stitch attraction because we had never done it before and because this was August so it was the only thing without a long wait. I had certainly read that it was terrible (which is why we had never done it before), but with the crowds and wait times, this seemed like a good opportunity to find out for ourselves. Dear lord - this thing is just AWFUL. I don't really have words to describe it - it is both boring and wildly annoying at the same time. I hope they replace it with something else at some point soon.

After that dreadful experience, Willow used some of her souvenir money to make a light saber.

And then we did another first - Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. This was truly a lot of fun, and we were both glad that we had stopped to do it. I took some pics while we were waiting, of course.

When we emerged from the Laugh Floor, the rain was coming down hard!

The Rain Pours Down​

So after we exited Monsters Inc., it was absolutely pouring down rain. At first, we thought we would use our Buzz FPs since they were due at the same time as our Space FPs, and Buzz was right there whereas Space would require a trek through the pouring rain. However, likely due to the rain, the FP line for Buzz was unbelievably long. We decided to don our ponchos and brave the rain on the way over to Space Mountain.

​

We had a great ride! This was the first year that Willow has been tall enough for the WDW version of Space. (DL’s version has a shorter height limit, and she loved it there on her fifth birthday.) She loved this version too. After, we grabbed another set of FPs for after our dinner ADR!

At this point, we needed to use our Buzz FPs before they expired, so we made our wet way back over there. The FP line was insane! It snaked all the way back to the entrance of Monsters Inc. There was a CM back there with a sign to let people know that was where the line was starting. We got in it anyway, and it moved pretty quickly.

Our ride pic is hilarious and awful! Hilariously awful!

We weren’t sure what to do after this - a lot of attractions were closed due to the rain and lightening. The app gave a 20-minute wait for the teacups, so we put our ponchos back on and headed that way. The line was LONG - definitely more than 20 minutes. But we stuck it out and rode anyway.

​

When we left the teacups, the rain had stopped! The Speedway had just reopened, and Willow was dying to do it. We have never done this before - the line is always so long, and it smells so bad with the exhaust. The posted wait time at this point was already back up to 30 minutes, but I felt bad that I had never let Willow do it before, so we got in line.

​

Willow was really excited! (You can see her light saber (in bag) poking out of her pack. )

​

It was exactly 30 minutes from the time we entered the line to when we got in our car. It was about 7:00PM at this point. And I learned something on this ride - my daughter is an absolutely TERRIBLE driver!

​

This was actually a really fun time together, and I was glad that I went ahead and got in line and made it happen. Willow had SO much fun!!!

aaawwww, now I feel bad for skipping the speedway last time we were there. it does look fun! the girls wanted to go on, but I'm just not a go cart person and talked them out of it. great....more mom guilt! and, willow might be a better driver when she can see over the steering wheel! she looks so tiny in the car!

I can finally get back to some normalcy. And let me just add, I'm on page 11ish of your TR. So, it's going to take some time to catch up In between wrapping gifts and washing clothes, perhaps I'll get some reading time!

and word of advice as the mother of 2 DDs, she is already showing you her driving skills, when the time comes do NOT repeat do NOT attempt to teach her to drive...hire a driving school, save yourself some gray hairs !​

I have a love / hate relationship with Splash Mountain. I LOVE the ride. But it's hit or miss whether or not I get soaked, so I'm always hesitant.

Willow just looks so stinkin' cute in her Lilo outfit.

You are correct, the costume was not far off. Maybe Tink was just a little.......slow?

Sorry! I didn't mean to cause any mom guilt. I have always talked Willow out of that ride, but I'm glad I caved this time. She had SO much fun - worth the stench and the constant crashing.
