We'll be there Saturday night through Tuesday. Just saw a forecast for 100 Sunday the 30th and 101 Monday the 1st. We might as well have gone in August :crazy2:

People going this coming week should be prepared.

I just saw that too! We're coming from British Columbia and that's way hotter than we ever get in summer. I'm now trying to revise my plans to take longer mid day breaks and stick to shows and other indoor activities during the hottest hours. Anyone have any tips for visiting with two toddlers when it's 100 degrees?

ACK! Last I checked it 92 ish for next week which is hot enough...but 99-101 (depending on what site you look at is crazy!

Well, at least I guess I don't have to worry that my favorite sweater has seen better days, I am not going to need it.

I am just hoping they are wrong and cools down.

The heat hasn't really gone away. It's been very hot for several weeks in So. Cal. There's a small break from the hate - if you want to call high 80s a break - te last few days, but it has just been hot hot hot --- and is continuing to do so.

It seems to me that our summer shifted. Where before (wayyy before), July & August were our hottest months, now the heat is mid-August to mid-October. At least, that is how it appears to me over the past few years.

How cool is it at nights in the parks? I have some long sleeved thin cotton pjs I was going to have the kids wear but won't bring them if it is still hot at nights.

I was there last weekend and it was hot! It was hotter than when I was there at the end of July. We had to take a break in the middle of the day, because the heat just saps the energy right out of you. I didn't need long sleeves at all, it was still warm at night.

It isn't so much that it is hotter, it is that it is HUMID! We always have heat in the fall, especially with Santa Ana winds, w/dry, hot conditions leading to wild fires. And it'd usually cool of nicely once the sun went down. But these last two months, the humidity has been awful! And not a whole lot of relief at sundown either.

Good luck! I was there during the 108 degree Friday (and 105 degree Saturday) a few weeks ago and it was awful. Being from Arizona I'm used to the heat, but it's just so different in the parks. Plus the heat killed my appetite and I didn't even want to eat all of the goodies I was looking forward to so much. The thought of eating a corn dog in that heat really grossed me out. LOL

The parks do sell these personal squirt bottle fans, but I didn't like them. They were heavy (because of the water) and despite the shoulder strap they were awkward to carry. Plus I didn't think the fan produced nearly enough wind. And while it's just water, you wind up squirting everyone around you in line. No it's not harming anyone, but it's kind of startling if you don't expect it.

I was very jealous of the people I saw with these: http://www.amazon.com/Travelon-Spee...8&qid=1348788886&sr=8-4&keywords=personal+fan

I had little baby washcloths in my purse to constantly mop the sweat off of my face. LOL

Humid I understand! I am from Florida originally :D It is "supposed" to cool off when we go (right now the forecast for the first 2 days we are there, Oct 5 and 6, says mid 80s during the day, mid 60s at night).

We're arriving saturday and we like heat. Yay for us :cool1:

The heat of September and beginning of October always surprises me in California--but it shouldn't because I should know better! It is like this every year. September is notoriously a VERY hot month, and there are often wild fires associcated with it.

We went to Disneyland early last October, and I am not doing it again. They have it all decorated for fall, but the temps are like H-E-double hockey sticks!

I would rather have June gloom and Jolly July--and then Delicious December! My new slogan is "forget the Fall!":rotfl2:

Yep.. it is hot here. I'm from Northern CA and the weather is pretty similar hot. We really don't get fall like weather until end of October or early November. I would say the hotter months in CA are July, August, September and October. It is pretty hot here in July but I'm up North. Now, June can be cold and rainy. It can even be hot in November. One year they were having a heat wave during Thanksgiving Week. It was very hot and we weren't prepared clothing wise.

Ugh...I can't believe it. We always go in September and have NEVER experienced this. I'm planning on being there first thing every morning and then hiding out in the hotel mid-afternoon. I'm also going to freeze water bottles the night before so we have lots of ice cold water.

yeah i feel you...big issue is that this year we seem to be having more humidity than in the past...like right now its over 80% humidity and 70º...so if it stays this high then its gonna be hotter than hades....:furious::faint:

Humidity is the worst! Guess I should have planned a trip to WDW instead; we went this time a few year ago and the weather was perfect. Go figure!

I think the weather network was calling for humidity in the 30-40% range, so hopefully it won't be higher than that!

I've been there 4 times in a Sept or Oct since '07, and I've never once encountered heat like is being described. In '07, it was nearly cold some days. We went back in December and it was warmer most days than it had been in September!

This news is...not happy-making for me. :( Sure, I'm quite a bit lighter than I was the last times I had to deal with high heat, but still. Dang.
