Ehhhhh!!!! Disney makes it so hard sometimes!!!


I was able to use the room discount for a trip Easter week at YC. However, it took me about 1.5 hours to get it all done. I had to break the week up into 3 different reservations. Website was showing a gardenview club room available for the first 4 nights. Whenever I tried to book it, I got a room type no longer availabile message. Logged out, back in repeatedly. Finally went thru day by day & ended up with 1 reservation for first 3 nights & another reservation for 1 night, same category room. Hopefully I won’t have to move. I played around for the last 3 nights. A waterview club room was available at Beach Club which was pretty tempting. But I finally settled on a garden view non club level at YC. Difference was over $960 for those 3 nights staying in the regular room. Decided that is fine. I was happy to get Club Level over the Easter weekend. We have never been to WDW over a major holiday. We do usually stay club level, so very happy to have the opportunity to see if they do anything special on the holiday.

But seriously, can it be any more complicated??!! Now I have to go back & do it all again to book our February trip.

I priced the room only offer for POP 1/6-1/11 and there was no discount. Same price as rack rate. Edit - i cleared my cart and redid it and the discount is there.

I had been waiting for this offer and finally booked today for March 30 - April 7, our Spring Break. I am doing a split stay POR/YC. I had to open an incognito tab to book. I could see the rates, but when I would click on them, suddenly there was nothing available (no rooms within that offer any resort I clicked). So, if you are having issues, try using incognito.

When you go to MDE and Reservations, do you see a blue Modify Reservation option (right underneath the Confirmation number)? If you see if, you can click on that and look for the offer. Or you can call.

So I got the February trip booked with the discount, YC Club Level. Read that there was also a Disney Visa discount, but not showing online, you have to call. Had to go out, no time left to call. Come home a bit ago, check the Feb discount thread, someone has nicely posted a link to book online. Go thru the whole process again. I wasn’t able to modify the reservations I made this morning, the Visa discount wouldn’t show up that way. But, I rebooked the Feb trip (saved $400 off the regular room discount offer). The April trip, I was able to rebook the regular YC room which is booked for Wednesday thru Saturday. Still no club level, but I saved another $212! So lots of changing & checking. Still have to move from club level after 4 nights, but with the Visa offer, I was able to save over $600 more for the 2 trips! Worth a little playing on the website!

I think they mean to open a new “incognito” window in Google Chrome or a new “private” window in Safari. It’s the private browsing mode that web browsers have so your aren’t logged in to anything that tracks the sites you visit and no cookies are kept by your browser. I’m not sure what this mode is called in Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Yes, this! Open your browser in "incognito" if you use Chrome or "Private" if you use Safari or Firefox. This will not cache the results, so you will be able to see the fresh results. It sometimes helps!

So I was up at 6 to book my flights on SW. That was another fun process.

Decided to check the Visa discounts again for the Easter weekend that wasn’t available yesterday. The 4 days I have booked with the regular discount showed up as available with the Visa discount! Yea right? Nope. Went thru the same process as yesterday. It wouldn’t let me book, kept getting the “room type not available” when I went to check out. Start going thru day by day. Showed it doe 2 days & all 4 days. Left it for awhile. Debating if I should call. Came back about 20 minutes later & tried again. Still showing availability. Yes!! It went thru!! So now instead of 2 club level reservations for 4 nights with the regular discount, I have 1 reservation with the Visa discount. And I saved over $400 for the 4 nights!! So now a total of over $1000 for 2 trips with the Visa discount over what the regular discount was.

Now I have to go cancel the other 2 reservations. Between all these hotel changes & flights, my credit card statement is gonna be a mess.

I used to think Split Stays were crazy...then I tried it last year and it was AWESOME! We did our first part in Epcot area and second part in MK area and barely had to ride a bus by planning our park days accordingly Just some thoughts...good luck with whatever you decide!

We had A Contemporary reservation(our favorite resort.With the deal we changed 3 nights Beach club and 3 at the Contemporary. We save $400. I love it because it eliminates some bus time.
