Just wondering if anyone else will be Home for Mother's Day?

We will be there and I plan on taking all advantages for Mom's day.

We are starting with brunch at Epcot, and then relaxing by the pool. I may even schedule a manicure/pedicure!

Now I have to decide where I would like to have dinner. Hmmm, such a decision!

Wishing all Mom's a great day!
Sheryl

I'm taking my Mom for Mother's Day, we'll be at OKW from May 9 to 16.

They will be taking complimentary pictures in Epcot. We plan to do that and then head over to MK for dinner at her choice - Cinderella's.

My daughter and I will be at BWV in a 1 bdrm. We are so excited!

We are going to the Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday. I understand there is a dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, so we may do that for dinner. Does anyone know if this is a buffet or what?

Where are they doing the complimentary pics? at the brunch?

My husband and I will be at BCV May 10th-15th. On Mother's Day I think that we will be going to MGM (love TOT) and then to Citricos or Jiko's for dinner.

If anyone is interested there is a DATW (Drink Around the World) Meet scheduled for the next day (May 12th) at World Showcase. You can pm me for the details if you are interested. We are up to 22 people. There's a thread over on the restaurant board that talks about it.

We went in 2000 & 2001 and got our picture taken by Norway with the lake as the background, turned out nice. They work similiar to MVMCP, they are mailed with an order form for extras. Maybe this year we'll try Canada so it's a little different. They also give Mom's a flower to hold in the picture. In 2000 it was a big sunflower, in 2001 it was a mum (I think).

Thanks for the info, Debbie!:earsgirl:

That sounds great. Maybe I can talk my camera shy daughter into it!

We used to always go in May. Before DD got into the upper grades. I really miss it, what a great time of the year to enjoy Disney.

Have fun everyone,
Lisa

I'll be there also. I have reservations at Yachtsman on Mother's Day. I sure hope it's not a buffet. I asked when I made reservations and was told it should be the regular menu. I'll be very disappointed if it's a buffet. Anyone know for sure?

thanks for that link! I just called and sure enough, it's a buffet. I am going to cancel my p.s. for Mother's Day. I'm disappointed. The menu sounds great, but for $45 an adult, I don't want to have to wait in line to get my food.

thanks again for this info!

$45 per adult is alot of money, especially for a buffet. Especially since Mother's Day is a family holiday, you really would be paying alot with kids or teens. Alot of times my mom and I split entrees, there's no way each of us could eat the whole thing ourselves.

Yes, $45 is alot, but is it about what we spend per person at the Yatchsman anyway. We usually order the filet and crabcake appy and that is $46. So looking at it like that you can sample the other dishes, all the desserts and your drink is free!:)

I am a bit concerned about the Mother's Day buffet at Epcot. We have ressies for that on Sunday at 1. A poster on another forum talked about waited 45 minutes ... outside..... standing up in the sun. Doesn't sound like fun to me! Anyone have experience with this buffet?
