~He didn't drink the Kool Aid.. He bathed in it!August TR~12/13 PG45 The End

Okay, I think I'm caught up.

1) Sorry about the flight, but glad the cork worked...:)
2) Pop:love:
3) Wolfgang Puck's Express :love::love::love:
4) engagement pix :love::love::love: (is it okay for a guy to get a bit choked up...) congrats by the way.........

I love all of your pictures!

The FP machine did that for us in August too! Gotta love double Fastpasses! :thumbsup2

Pirates is definitely a great first ride!

Can't wait for more!
Thank you!

It is an extra bit of pixie dust :wizard:

It was a lot of fun!

More coming up soon!

Yay!

We were glad the cork worked too

Pop was a lot of fun but Josh wasn't too crazy about the amount of kids running around

It is so amazing! I have already put in a request to eat here for lunch on my wedding day!

Aw :hug: It is totally fine my dad was pretty choked up :cutie: Thank you!

YAY! Off for some awesome Disney attractions! :woohoo:

Fantasyland looks as beautiful as ever. I love all these pictures you took. And construction looks well on its way. I totally agree about them getting rid of the Skyway station. While the Skyway is no longer there, it just looks so empty over. They should've just re-used it for something else. Think Green Disney! Glad to see Josh enjoyed it (:

A big :thumbsup2 for Walt Disney quotes, they are always awesome :goodvibes And yeah, anything official must be facebook official ::yes:: lol I'm pretty sure someday that will become a law based on the popularity of FB lol And I actually think the flash mob you ran into was the hoedown, because it looks like it's around that spot, but I wasn't there so I wouldn't know :/

YAY TIKI ROOM PICS! I'm so glad that's back to the original now. I can't wait to see it now! :hyper: That's awesome how Josh started taking pictures of random things in Disney. He was becoming a DISer already :)

POTC! WOOT! Love that ride and I'm totally the same way with rules. I cringe up whenever I see somebody doing that. I'm just way too by the book for the average teenager lol Anyways, glad to hear Josh somewhat enjoyed that one :thumbsup2

Can't wait to find out what your second ride was... my guess is... PhilharMagic with the FPs or Space Mountain! :mickeyjum

One flash is allowed. Its those people who take 50+ photos with flash on a ride ....

I just love Fantasyland! The new area will be amazing! I was surprised how much was done from when we were there in May! I wish they would have too! Josh did enjoy it!

They are always so insightful! Oh Facebook how you rule our lives! I think it was too but I just have a thing for flash mobs  I originally told Josh I wanted the proposal to involve a flash mob :cutie:

I am so upset we didn't see it this trip! Josh is definitely a DISer at heart!

POTC is such a great ride! I am so glad we have never run into people using their flash! The worst we have had is a ton of talking :sad2: He did enjoy it a bit but then I realized a lot of these rides are so cool because people ride them when they are younger and they have a bit of nostalgia to them :cutie:

Our second ride was neither of those :sad2: One of those should have been the next one though

One flash is allowed. Its those people who take 50+ photos with flash on a ride ....

I agree I am so lucky we haven't run into people like that!

Great update! When I first went to Disney with my now hubby we stayed at an All Stars resort and he wasn't thrilled with the amount of kids either. We like to stay at moderates now because they are more geared towards adults while still keeping the Disney magic alive with things like awesome pools! I'm gonna guess that Haunted Mansion was your next ride? :goodvibes

Thank you!

He ended up liking it and did enjoy the bar  We will be staying at Boardwalk next time though so I am pretty sure he will like that better! We also love the mods and I think Josh would love Coronado Springs!

Nope but we did ride that one that day!

Hi Everyone!! Guess what today marks? Well one year from today we will be returning to Disney World for the wedding of our prince and princess :cool1: In terms of "real life" I know the year is going to fly by! However, being the Disney-addicts we are Caitlin and I will be in severe withdrawal by the time we return!

Anyway back to the story. When Caitlin left off we had ridden POTC and let Josh pick the 2nd ride. What was his choice? None other than Aladdin's Magic Carpet. Now if you've read our previous reports you know I don't do anything that goes in circles. (even the carousel makes me ) So Dale and I watched while our kids rode. Of course we didn't get a cute pic of the 2 of them because they had BOTH cameras :rolleyes1

Here are some pics of their view....

disneyday2summer077.jpg

Josh thought the ride was a lot of fun and enjoyed moving the carpet up and down to avoid the spitting camels.

When they got off the ride Caitlin wanted to hit the nearest store to get some ponytail holders. It wasn't even noon yet but the humidity was already starting to affect her hair. So we headed into the store across from the Treehouse.

Josh took some pics while the rest of us looked around...
disneyday2summer080.jpg

disneyday2summer081.jpg

While Caitlin was shopping a little girl approached her and asked if they could trade pins. Caitlin of course said "yes" and let the girl pick whatever pin she wanted for both trades.

Here is a pic of the girls trading...and yes Caitlin is short but she is on her knees in the picture. Both girls aren't the same size

disneyday2summer082.jpg

Once the trade was over and the ponytail holders were bought it was time to head out for another ride. We cut from Adventureland into Frontierland and there Josh found more photographic inspiration. This time from a drinking fountain?!

disneyday2summer085.jpg

He absolutely loved that picture!

Then he saw the view of Tom Sawyer's Island which we never did make it over to
disneyday2summer086.jpg

Soon we were at our destination
disneyday2summer167-1.jpg

disneyday2summer168-1.jpg

disneyday2summer169.jpg

There was no wait but we took the long way so Josh could experience the awesome queue they have.

They say everyone has a twin. Dale may have found his at the HM. What do you think?
disneyday2summer088.jpg

This queue is among my favorites in all of WDW. There is so much to see and do and it is so fun!
disneyday2summer090.jpg

disneyday2summer174-1.jpg

disneyday2summer176-1.jpg

disneyday2summer182-1.jpg

We even found the bride's engagement ring. I hope it's not a bad omen for Josh.....
disneyday2summer184.jpg

Now the HM is a favorite with my family so we were really anxious to see Josh's reaction. The verdict.....he LOVED IT! It ended up being his favorite Disney ride.

****Continued Next Post****

We decided his next ride should be one of the mountains so we headed back to Frontierland (for those of you who are strict planners our back and forth would probably drive you crazy!)

On our way over to BTMRR I spotted the Banjo Brothers and knew we should stop and catch their show. (you see in 2009 Dale and I took an anniversary trip and they serenaded us so I had a good feeling they'd give Cait and Josh some Disney magic)

disneyday2summer102.jpg

As soon as they spotted the kids "engaged" buttons they started asking them about when they got engaged etc. They then dedicated "Zip a dee do dah" to them

disneyday2summer105.jpg

disneyday2summer104.jpg

disneyday2summer109.jpg

Josh and Caitlin loved the attention and little did they know that they would be recieving a lot more Disney magic during our stay!

disneyday2summer187-1.jpg

When we got to BTMRR the posted wait was 10 minutes. Pretty good, huh? Well it ended up being a walk on although it did take almost that long to just get through the queue
disneyday2summer192-1.jpg

disneyday2summer194-1.jpg

disneyday2summer114.jpg

Caitlin loved Josh' reaction to BTMRR. She said he just laughed the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Now as we were planning our trip the Magic Kingdom was the park Josh was least looking forward to, go figure, but he was bitten by the bug and fell in love with the park after a few hours of being there!

Our next destination was Fantasyland. We had those Peter Pan fast passes that were burning a hole in our pocket...
disneyday2summer122.jpg

Peter Pan ended up being wasted on Josh as he found it kind of lame. Maybe it's one of those rides that you don't really get unless you first experience it as a child?

Next up was a walk on of my all time favorite ride...
disneyday2summer123.jpg

disneyday2summer124.jpg

I love IASW and everytime I ride I am transformed back to a 6 year old girl riding for the first time. Josh's reaction to IASW? Well I think he kept his opinion to himself out of respect for his future Mother-in-law ;)

Since we were in the area and we had the bonus Philharmagic FP we decided it was the perfect time to use them. It turned out we didn't need them. It was a walk on too!

disneyday2summer125.jpg

disneyday2summer126.jpg

The obligatory 3D glasses shot...
disneyday2summer130.jpg

While we waited in the lobby Josh ate the leftover chocolate slipper from breakfast which was getting pretty soft by that point.

We all love Philharmagic and Josh did too. We were all singing along to all the songs. (Yep, we're THOSE people)

Our next stop was supposed to be Snow White but check out the wait time...
disneyday2summer131.jpg

20 minutes?!! I have never seen that ride with more than a 10 minute wait. I'm guessing everyone wanted one last ride before it closes? Well there was no way were waiting that long so we skipped it.

Caitlin and Josh stopped at the sword in the stone for a picture which ended up being one of our favorite photos from this trip....
disneyday2summer133.jpg

Isn't that a great shot?! I love it!

At this point it was getting close to time for our lunch adr so we decided to send Dale for fast passes for Space Mountain while Caitlin, Josh and I headed to Cinderella's wishing well for some pictures.

I used this one on the invitations for their engagement party...
disneyday2summer136.jpg

Then we needed a kissy face pic
disneyday2summer137.jpg

After out mini photo shoot we made our way over to the Plaza. On the way we passed Rapunzel's area. Weve never met her because of her always super long line and now with Flynn gone we're not too interested in waiting just for her. (no offense Rapunzel)

disneyday2summer139.jpg

Then we had to get a castle picture
disneyday2summer141.jpg

Caitlin wandered off and took even more pictures. Shocking I know!
disneyday2summer146.jpg

disneyday2summer149.jpg

Look at that sky.....I so missed the clear blue skies we always see in May!

I checked in at the Plaza while Josh and Cait roamed around taking even more pictures...
disneyday2summer150.jpg

As you can see the fall decorations were out...
disneyday2summer151.jpg

Soon we were called for our adr but I will stop here and let Caitlin tell you all about that....

I can't even remember the last time I was in any of the shops in Adventureland. I might have to go inside some of them for those photo oppertunities.

I'm glad to hear that Josh loved the Haunted Mansion. Too bad Peter Pan was a bust. It really is one of those love-it-or-hate-it attractions.

The theming in the Adventureland shops is pretty cool and they tend to carry items somewhat themed to the area. I like that they have different merchandise than all the other stores.

The HM was a big hit! :thumbsup2 As for Peter Pan I enjoy the nostalgia and still find it magical :)

Ha, ha! It's no surprise that Josh didn't like IASW. I don't think guys are a fan. My hubby and boys HATE it! Actually, I think for fun I will try to drag them all on it on our next trip.

I LOVE the photo of Caitlin and Josh at Cinderella well.:goodvibes

Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! Wow. I'm very impressed. And I'm glad josh takes pictures of random things. They're pretty awesome. Seriously, though, I would be proud of that water fountain one too! It's so artsy!
Hearing about the little banjo band makes me want to come here with my fiance someday  I love hearing about little touches of magic like that!

I am the only one in my family who enjoys IASW. They all humor me and go without complaint though :)

I may not be very impartial but I think they are an adorable couple :goodvibes

Each evening when we got back to the room Caitlin would upload the day's photos and we'd all look through them. It was always interesting to see what caught Josh's eye :)

If you're ever at the MK celebrating a birthday, engagement etc make sure you catch the Banjo Brothers Show. They make a big fuss over you and dedicate a song to you. After singing to Caitlin and Josh they sang to a child that was having her birthday :goodvibes

I noticed your TR by the title the other day and I tried to resist reading it because I have so many to keep track of but I had to and now I'm hooked, I am still on page 9 but I had to comment so I wouldn't be to far in and forget what I wanted to comment on.

That was a scary situation on your flight, I probably would have tried to change flights too, I don't blame you for panicking.

Great DTD pics! I love your water/fountain pics, they turned out so cool!

That's awesome that Josh is such a quick convert!

I love the Christmas store, I bought 2 ornaments when I was there in May and had a hard time narrowing it down to those 2. :)

...going back to finish reading...

Welcome! We're glad you decided to join us! :)

We knew Josh would love WDW but we were all surprised at how quickly he fell for Disney :)

I love Disney ornaments too! Our whole tree is Disney :)

Great update. Great choice for an engagement picture.

I have to tell you - I can understand Josh's opinion of Peter Pan. While I think it's cute, I never experienced it as a kid so I don't have that nostalgic tie to it. I can take it or leave it. :rolleyes1 Does that make me a bad DISer?

Great morning. You guys got a lot done. Lots of really fun pictures and I will admit it - the water fountain picture is good. I like it. I also like the one under the magic carpets.

Oh my gosh, all the photos are amazing! And I love the water fountain pic too!

I love your touring style! Just go with what you really want to do when the crowds are so light like that.

I love Peter Pan, but like you said, it's one of those childhood things.

Again, AWESOME pics! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about lunch!

Great pics guys!
I love how Josh is going for the non-traditional shots.
He can provide a whole new perspective to us Disneyfiles!! :goodvibes
