We are thinking of doing the category 1 seating for a 5:00 show this May. It will be our first time seeing this show. I am wondering if all of the seats are facing the stage in category 1. I can't imagine paying all that money and having my back to the stage, so I want to make sure before I get there. Also, it sounds like they assign tables before you get there, correct? So getting there early will not do us any good? Last, we will have 2 children with us, ages 7 and 9. Will there be a chance that they would have a hard time seeing being in category 1? Thanks for your help!

I beleive there may be some round tables if I remember correctly. but you can turn them around during the show.

I think they would be for bigger parties though.
Any seat there is really good though. We sat next to the stage last year and in the balcony this year. Both were excellent and we had interaction with the cast both times.

Not sure when they assign tables to be honest but we went this February for the first time with children aged 7 and 10. Category 1 we were one row back from stage. Got fantastic views at a rectangle table. The characters passed the table more than once (we have excellent pictures of sixbits pulling a funny face into our camera!!)

don't think you'll be disappointed in any of the cat 1 seating.

If you are facing away from the stage while eating just turn the chair around when the show starts. All the seats are great IMHO. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies. If they assign the seats before you get there, do you know if there is any way to find out where your assigned table is? Thanks!

They will tell you your table number when you sign in, but I couldn't tell you if there is a map anywhere to look to see where they are. I do beleive you are kind of placed in your seats in the order that you call to make the ADR. But you won;t be told ahead of time, becuase changes can be made. In fact we were seated and moved to another table last trip. LOL!
