HBO's Game of Thrones Season 5....current episodes, no future spoilers

ME TOO!!!!! Seems we are caught up and I'd really like to read the story before I watch it.

This story line has departed from the books, I doubt his books will be the same (if he writes anymore).

Actually last night's episode did quite a bit to line up many characters more or less with where we left them in the last book. They may not have taken the same paths they did in the books, but they're aligned on the board the same way. Just the previously on clips last night had me cheering, although I am very torn about Jon's story direction.

I was pretty sure Jon would never make it out of this season alive. He suffers from the same noble honor that was his father's downfall, it was only a matter of time.

I have hope. I see two possible destinies for him -- potentially merging in a poetic way. Last night's episode gave hope to each one.

Dany was kind of a selfish twit. Give the dragon a rest and a cuddle for Christ sake.

It's no wonder no one survives in this show. The Sands just tried to murder you, and now you're mouth kissing. Fool. As soon as it happened, 'poison. You're dead. Idiot.'

I do have a soft spot for Indira Varma though. She was a VA in one of my fave video game series.

:confused3Thoros brought back Beric with R'hllor so I don't see why not. Melisandre should be able to do the same for Jon.

It's her only chance at any tiny redemption whatsoever. And one constant theme through GoT seems to be that just when I can not hate someone any more, they do something to make me like them.

Well, not true for Joffrey. And doubtful to be true for Ramsey. But it held true for Jaime & Cersei. Melisandre reviving Jon might put her in that camp. I'm sure being so completely 100% wrong really stunned her.

Do you think Melisandre will save Jon?

I think that's why she returned to the wall. I think she has her attention turned to Jon -- she misinterpreted her vision (oops!) and now may believe he is the one rather than Stannis.

BTW, can someone PLEASE pronounce the way the Lord of Light's name is supposed to be said. Drove me nutty when reading the books and I don't think i've heard it said on the show.

My life is over. I hope Cersi kills everyone.

Well, she did say she would burn cities to the ground (for her children). Was that foreshadowing? My prediction is she will use The Mountain and wildfire to destroy King's Landing. I think future episodes will focus on the north, Danarys and her dragons, and fighting the white walkers.
