Due to my 10 year old son's ball team schedule running past when it normally does, I am having to cancel our June 19th thru June 28th trip and have rescheduled for July 9th thru 19th. Actually have better ADRs and one extra night at the Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal in July and are saving a total of 500.00 on resort costs (mainly because Universal hotel is $90.00 cheaper per night in July).

My only concern now is that the crowds and weather :sunny: :umbrella: will be more unbearable in July. Please ease my mind if you can..... :guilty: :confused3

Aww, you have nothing to worry about. I`ve been during both of these times. The last part of June is absolutely miserable.....excessive crowds *&* rain every day. But the week after the 4th of July def. has to be my fav. time to go.....it rained maybe twice and the crowds were pretty much non-existent from the 6th-12th until they start picking back up rapidly.

Hi JPRCH,

I don't think you'll notice a difference in the crowds or the weather. It will be pretty crowded and pretty hot in both periods! And if you're saving that much in July, it's a great deal!!

We have been to Disney many times in July. It really isn't any hotter than Aug. or June and you get rain almost everyday in Florida anyway. We have now started going the first week in Aug. The thing we didn't really like about July is there seems to be a lot of tour groups. They travel in huge crowds and they can be rude at times.

As far as the heat goes. The thing that really helps us is we get personal fans to wear around our necks. This year I got them at the Disney store for $2.99. They are just the little ones with no water botter on them but they do the trick.

I hope you have a great time. We have 7 more weeks to wait!!!

we've been in early June and early July - I didn't notice a huge difference in the heat. Maybe a little...but not much. Same with the crowds, perhaps just a tiny increase. We're going 7/2-7/9 this year. Went 7/6-7/13 last year - crowds and heat don't bother us. We take it slow, take breaks in the afternoon, plus I guess it helps that we live in the South so we're use to the heat and humidity. I can understand how some people couldn't take it. It's all about your tolerance level and what you're use to.

My theory: That's what Stormalong Bay (or the Volcano Pool) is for. :goodvibes

You won't notice any difference.....enjoy! :rolleyes1

Thanks for the replies! I feel much better about going July 9th thru 19th. I think we will have a great time since we are now knowledgeable about the heat and the crowds. I am from the deep south too :sunny: (Huntsville Alabama) so the heat shouldn't bother us too bad. It has been upper 80s lower 90s here with near 100% humidity, so we should be calibrated.

Thanks again, I hope everyone going in July has a super time! :cool1:
