My wife is graduating with her Master's degree next month and I am thinking about celebrating by staying at our home resort. Could I invite some family members to visit us (& not stay overnight) at the resort to help celebrate? What are the rules on that?

Thanks!

Hi: We've had day visitors; just let security at the gate/front desk know of your plans. They have allowed them to park their vehicle in the lot. We've given them our villa number so they can just come up and we've also met guests in the lobby.

It shouldn't be a problem having guests visit you at your resort. But they won't be able to swim unless they are actually guests of the resort.

You need to place names with security to let them in. Pool isn't definitely off limits. They usually don't mind your having a couple guests except perhaps at Stormalong Bay where they check for ID cards more often, but they have had problems in the past and may prevent it if its more -- I remember one BWV group being removed because the BWV person invited 40 guests to the pool.

Not trying to hijack this thread but can my sister who lives in Orland stay over with us in our two bedroom villa in October. We are staying at the AKV with 4 adults and one chils (4 yrs old) and one infant (18 months). She was planning to come on our day of arrival (Saturday) and leave sometime Sunday?

yes...you can just add her to the reservation...it does mess with plans though if you plan to do the dining plan...as everyone on the reservation has to do it for the entire length of the trip.

Congrats to your wife - I will finish my MA in December and know just how hard your wife has worked. I wish my husband were as sweet as you for wanting to celebrate. I don't think you will have any problems having your family visit. It might even be possible for them to swim - you can ask the front desk - others have been told yes and some have been told no - I think it really depends on the resort and how busy it is.
