Welcome Sconnell, i've seen you post over on the Unplugged boards....

Don't worry, I'm not a GF regular just stayed for a week back in March. I'm a local so it's hard to justify. I'm pretty sure we are going for our 10th anniversary though! Just be careful around this group not only will they have you talked into the Grand but the concierge...... don't do it! Come slumming with me in GV and well wave up at them in the RPC lounge!

BTW, DH and I use to run the young single and that is a hard group. Kiddos to you!

Our trip this June... oh my It started out as a "cheapy" trip for DD and I. Staying at the cheapest room at the WL.... then we moved to the poly and now you girls have me staying SL at the GF DH is going to bann me from this thread

was reading my CNN and they just issued a Tornadoe warning for Ill.

Yeah...dd 3 stayed home from school this morning. Once crack of thunder and she was done. She cried and cried so I let her stay home. I feel bad but it is only preschool. I have her in that 8 week session of Montessorri. It is working out very well. DH was at first a little mad it at first. "What...we are going to start paying tuition at age 3????) She is behaving so much better though so we are going to continue with it in the fall.

Eee eee eeeeee Me and My little Newfie doggie, Tatum..... We're back ....it was starting to rain, but I just checked the Weather Channel and the wicked weather is way south of us. We just have rain.....I am wondering if maybe Vanessa is hiding in her basement???

Ok, so he's one of the Next Generation Leaders. (BTW this pic was for Facebook and yes it's posed.) Just the other day my DH was at a local tatoo parlor talking to a Christian tatoo guy and about his ministry. Although we come from very traditional roots, we want to reach people where they are. Just like Jesus! - We try to teach our college kids that they each have their own ministry... Oh the pic...

ETA: We live in Savannah, GA and DH surfs a little bit. That's why he's dressed like a surfer.

I am not hiding yet but the first storm warning...and you know where I will be. We are in the middle of NO WHERE and tornados seem to find us frequently.

You don't have to worry about me. My MIL is probably already on her way over with the candles, bottles of water etc. Maybe even a casserole. She will then call 100 times today to make sure that I have checked the weather. CRAZY I TELL YA!

Since we're revealing all....I am a Catholic and DH is Jewish.

I am now a bad Catholic. I haven't even had Jojo baptized...Lucy didn't have first communion..... We have had some really bad church experiences. When I was a kid, the priest in charge was caught embezzling from the church...the guy wore Rolex watches, drove new Mercedes - said he "came from a wealthy family"...WRONG. so he is behind bars now. Then when I was in confirmation class (ick - but the p's forced it on me) the priest said he would NEVER MARRY A CATHOLIC TO A JEW. (nice open minded guy ) He said DO NOT EVEN BOTHER BRINGING A JEW TO THIS CHURCH..... THEN, when little Z was in religious ed for first communion, the priest at THAT church was busted having an affair with a depressed woman he was "counselling".... I have more sad church stories, too.. Was it just ME? I don't know....I think the Catholic church hs a lot to answer to.....through history, too.

I agree with your sentiments, Mandy, regarding having a relationship with God.. It shouldn't just be on Sundays & in our Catholic churches that seems to be the draw for he biggest hypocrites...they think that they're THERE sitting and kneeling for an hour so what they do from Sunday afternoon to next Sunday morning is all forgiven and doesn't matter.

Now I know there are some fabulous Catholic churches....DH and I belonged to one years ago and we were married in it and Z was baptized there, but we can't find one where we are living now.

that pic of the towel animal toothbrush thingy... its really cute and all BUT...err... I dont want no stranger touching my dang blasted toothbrush ... i mean ewwwww .... she is cleaning other peoples rooms and ..did she wash her hands before she grabbed that toothbrush?!?!?!!?!?!?

Don't laugh, but I bring a cheapo plastic toothbrush holder (like the kind you have in your bathroom) and stick all the brushes in there cuz I can't STAND the thought of them sitting on the counter

It's getting really dark here...I thought I heard hail on the skylights or else it was the stupid a@@ bird still banging himself on the windows......It's pouring now....
