I am serious... I really do that!!!!

The kids just wear their old undies and then Toss them :thumbsup2

When we go on a family trip I have 5 people to pack for. That is 35 pairs of undies, 35 shirts (at least) and 35 bottoms :scared1: 70 socks to keep track of :rotfl2:

So if I play the toss and go game I don't have to worry as much as repacking for the trip home! :cool1:

I can hear the mousekeepers now. There is that lady that throws away all her dirty underwear:rotfl:

Packing for the trip home is much better for us too since we have to bring SO MANY DIAPERS!!!!

Savannah has cute little girlie socks when we go places but the boys? SHOOT who cares about boy socks :rotfl:
I do pack their worn socks and at the end of the day TOSS THOSE STINKY THINGS (the socks not the boys :rotfl: )

I do the same for DH's undies and socks....

Then when we get home all the guys get new socks and undies and everyone is happy :cool1:

Mandy, my grandmother was a very common sense type woman ... she was also extremely religious. She had a saying and I stick with that saying and will do so until the day I die.

Men are weak when it comes to sins of the flesh. It is a bigger sin to be such a prude about things that your man is tempted to stray. It is our job to make sure our men don't sin. ;)

There is nothing wrong with a couple of wives comparing notes and keeping our men from sinning :rotfl:
Did you know Redbook did did a poll to find out what dempgraphics had the best love life... you know who won hands down?! Yup us wee little Christians :rotfl:
Christians have "romance" on average of 4 times a week.
The Bible tells us in several places to enjoy our spouse and that we should be having "fun" with our spouse to strenghten the bond.

So if we get a little naughty and the CHurch ladies hear about it... just tell them you are taking notes to make sure your DH doesn't sin and end up DOWN STAIRS :thumbsup2

curious, what religion are you? We are Methodist but my children go to an Assembly of God Church for school. We go to both Churches ... talk about some minor differences :rotfl2:
Whenever the kids have a special program or a special guest speaker we go to the school's Church... make sense?

Gir,l I am a Southern Baptist! And you know we are some prudes!:rotfl: BTW, I love your GM saying. We have so many kids it's just so hard for the little old church ladies to get over, I have even had some ask if my husband was raised Catholic. Strangers also ask if I am Catholic and I just reply "no, just a passionate baptist" :rotfl: And BTW my GF was a preacher and evangelist and GOOD friend of Billy Grahams. The assembly's are the rowdy crowd, I'm sure you fit right in! ;) I have to say that I sing on the Praise team and lead the worship, we have a blended worship service with contemporary and traditional hymns but pepped up, and my GM still gives me the stank eye when I get into it and raise a hand. She will say , "ya'll really got into it this morning." I just sweetly reply "well I'm just getting practiced up for what worship is going to be in Heaven, we got all eternity so I figured I would get use to it here." :rotfl:

I have to say that I led a bible study about the Song of Solomon and boy is that one steamy book! A few of the ladies stopped coming because if was "inappropriate" and "boarder line pornographic" :rotfl: I told them it was the Word of God and a beautiful look at how he intended the marriage relationship. They didn't want to hear it and claimed it was a misinterpretation. :rotfl: What ever that rest of us had a good time!

Here I go: Just remember you asked;)

So back to my denomination. OK so I am a total rebel. I think too many churches are run more like country clubs and not interested in reaching out to those in need, not even welcoming to newcomers. I don't believe in religion, even though I am at our church 3 times a week, I believe it's about the relationship with Jesus Christ not just being a member of said church and going on a regular basis. I believe it's what you do between Sundays but not about a bunch of "rules". I believe in teaching my children about Jesus and teaching them to live to serve others, I don't leave it up to the SS teacher to teach my child about Him. I believe in the deep love Jesus had for us and loving others and trying to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It's not about being good enough, we can never be good enough that's why we need Jesus. Jesus was a rebel just look at all his chit chat's with the Pharisee's. He also got out there in the world, remember his first miracle was turning water to wine so the party could go on :rotfl: So what ever denomination that is, that's me. :) Why can't we get a Jesus smiley up in here? :rotfl:

I think if we reached out to people and love them in what ever condition we find them then "Christians" would start to be more effective. I also believe in ministering to other's, for example I started a ministry called Dinners and Diapers. We reach out to women and provide them with a few weeks of home cooked meals as well as a basket of goodies. You would not believe the impact we have had on just loving moms and wanting to help them out! I love it it is so much fun!

So sorry for the rant but you asked :rotfl: :rotfl:

It cuts down on laundry when you get home too :rolleyes1

Its not like anyone is going to see their undies
Might as well use them and then toss them rather than just toss them....

I do wonder what housekeeping does think when they see socks and undies in the trash

Seriously, I would research island resorts in the Caribbean along with a cruise. Most of the resorts have the same stuff as a cruise PLUS you get the beaches everyday :goodvibes

Believe it or not, my girls were sick of beaches by the end of our cruise. (Yeah, I know, they're weird that way.) On our last day, we gave them the choice of going to a beach in the BVI or staying on the ship and hanging out with their friends at the kids club. They actually chose the kids club. :confused3 They had spent the day at the beach in Aruba and St. Kitts and St. Lucia, so I guess that was enough for them!

Cruising is definitely not for everyone. For us, we like variety and we like to be on the move, so we loved this particular itinerary since it took us to different islands with different cultures. For instance, I have no interest in cruising the Bahamas since that is not "different" enough for me, kwim? We were able to visit islands like Grenada and St. Lucia and Dominica that are so culturally different from our own, and that made it extremely interesting. And on some islands -- we took land tours, while on others, we went to the beach. My favorite was in Barbados, where we took a catamaran to go snorkeling with turtles. Only 10 people on the catamaran, with lunch served, and on the way back, the captain let my girls steer the boat. (No, not THAT captain, put your tongues back in your mouths. ;) )

I can't wait until my younger daughter turns 8 since that's the minimum age for kids to go on an African safari. That would be my ULTIMATE vacation! Or maybe I can just save some money and head to AKL and AK for one week ... :rolleyes1

Mandy- I totally agree with you on the part about the country club. I joied our church's Outreach Committee. I was thinking we were going to be helping people in need etc. WRONG. They were more worried about who was moving into town so we could take them cookies and invite them to church. (more people in church...hence more money in our collection plate) We never helped a soul.

Ok so the GF is supposed to represent the turn of the Century correct? Well I want to "fit in" So I am seriously thinking of getting this bathing suit... whatcha think? It would go with the Victorian theme ;)
patriotismImgLOA672_20070724164952.jpg

Look at that thing, now that's what I call a mommy suit! Seriously if you get that thing you should let one of us "randomly" post a pic of you and claim we say this crazy woman in it and yadda yadda yadda, that thread would get so hot! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mandy~
WOW I love your post!

I completely agree too! There are so many steamy chapters in the Bible... they are there for a reason ;)

I don't think God intended for us to be prudes and never talk about or mention the S word. I am madly in love with my DH and because of this we like to play and have fun. "Love" should not be a serious thing ... it should be open, honest and fun!

I do go to Chruch 2 times a week. My husband (this will scare the pants off of you hehe) is the scout Master and the Cub master for our local scout pack that our Church sponsors. We have 87 cub scouts and 52 boy scouts that my DH is in charge of. Of course each of the scouts are broken down into smaller groups with den leaders or patrol leaders but he is the BIG MAN when it comes to the entire scout group.
This is our form of ministry. We enjoy working with the young boys ... helping them turn into strong men. My DH is an Eagle Scout and has been a scout since he was 7 years old. He is a wonderful man that I am very proud of... he loves teaching boys about integrity and moral values.
I often tease and say I don't need no stinky morals... he's got enough for the both of us :rotfl:

Brook OMG! Disney Cruise Line is nothing like Royal Caribbean! It's so much better! :thumbsup2 We cruise often out of NYC, we've been on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival and Princess and hands down Disney was the best. The staterooms are 35% larger than any other ship. Two bathrooms in each stateroom is standard. The food was better quality than other ships. We really really loved sailing on the Wonder. We did the land/sea package back in 2001 - before we had kids. We loved that we never saw kids! They really enforce the adults only spaces on board. We loved the adult beach on their private island Castaway Cay, we had a couples massage on the beach in a cabana. We'd love to sail Disney again but they charge kids the same fare regardless of age. I'm not paying for my DS1 if he can't utilize the kids club. On all the other ships, children under 3 only pay taxes and port charges which comes out to about $63! I'm not paying over $1,000 for a baby! That's my only issue with them. DH can't wait to go back. It's his favorite ship!

Also, Disney outlet online discounts the PJ Pals down to $3.99. I just bought about 8 pairs for the boys. They wear the long sleeves pjs all year since we have the a/c on high in the summer. They had cars, nemo, buzz, MM clubhouse.

Lesly: I ship a box to the resort with diapers, wipes, disposable sippies, snack crackers, juice boxes etc... This trip I have three boxes to ship down since I made the boys giftbags from Mickey, I bought sand toys and a few cases of water :rotfl: DH thinks I'm nutz but it's cheaper to ship the water down than pay $3.75 a bottle!

Oh speaking of sand toys, Target has disney beach pail sets. They have "Cars" and Cinderella. I think they were $8.99. On the front of the pail is the character then inside two shovels and two molds with the characters. I didn't buy it since I already found some pails and shovels at the dollar store and put some cars stickers on them. I also found some large toy construction trucks at Walmart for the sand. I might have to bring the trucks home (my boys love their vehicles!) but plan on leaving the pails and shovels at the resort. I'm not losing luggage space for a pail and shovel!:rotfl:

Amen to all of it! :goodvibes Are you my long lost sister? My DH is a Min to Young Singles (think college age to late-30s). His dad is a Sr. Pastor, his grandfather was too. Anyway, where was I going with that... Oh, no prudes in this family! lol. "romance" is important and I def agree with your GM!

Ok, so you're wondering who I am? - I'm just popping in because Brook invited me! She said, "we are a silly group so if your one not to cut up and get a little crazy then I suggest staying away. if you can get a good laugh out of most anything then come on by." So, here I am!

I'm not a GF groupie yet, one day if I can afford to stay there I might be! :rotfl2: Right now we'll have to settle for POFQ.

Have fun ladies!

OOPS... I also wanted to add that is where DH and my 2 boys will be while Savannah and I are at the GF...

They will be at summer camp with 1,000 other boy scouts :rotfl2:

They stay at Spanish Trails in Pensacola in tents in the summer with NO A/C the entire week.... Glad I am staying GF :rotfl2:

We just did a big Outreach push to try and get more of the Adult SS classes involved in outreach. One class came up with the idea of shoving water bottles in peoples hands with our lable on it. I hate that kinda stuff. Another class totally did not even get the idea of "OUTreach" when they came up with the idea to start a Myspace Page for their class so they could post if they were going out to dinner so they could all get together more often. I told them it was totally the opposite of outreach, they created and inreach program. For me it's all about meeting peoples needs first, If you look at Jesus' ministry that what he did. He would heal someone and then say follow me. Not come to church and be good and then I will consider healing you. I hate Bible thumping too, Pet peve!

Hey sconnell!!!!

With a DH who looks like THAT I am sure romance is easy to come by :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Her DH is a gastric bypass patient like me!
We met up on another thread and she is fun:rotfl:

haha, thanks. I guess I should post a pic now, huh... He certainly looks like a Southern Baptist Minister, doesn't he? lol.
Ok, so he's one of the Next Generation Leaders. (BTW this pic was for Facebook and yes it's posed.) Just the other day my DH was at a local tatoo parlor :scared1: talking to a Christian tatoo guy and about his ministry. Although we come from very traditional roots, we want to reach people where they are. Just like Jesus! - We try to teach our college kids that they each have their own ministry... Oh the pic...

ETA: We live in Savannah, GA and DH surfs a little bit. That's why he's dressed like a surfer.

I just may have to do this! Thanks!

Lesly: The address to the resort is:

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
4401 Grand Floridian Way
Buena Vista, FL 32830

I print out on the computer in bold large letters:

Hold for guest: Mare SoAndSo
Arriving on: 6/12/08

I put that label on each side of the box. The box will be stored in the luggage room. So if it's piled high, they can see the label from any side. I also make "this end up" signs, just because I pack them so nice that I'd like them to stay right side up.

You have to use Fed Ex or UPS, regular mail goes to a central distribution center. I send the box exactly one week from check in. Five day ground. It's always there a few days early. They will make a note that you have a delivery on your reservation. When you check in they will tell you that they have your box and that you need to be in your room when they deliver it.

Just make sure to have something to open it with. I used so much packing tape last time, that I had to kick the box in to open it!

You can also get a return postage paid label from Fed Ex or UPS if you need to ship that same box back home. I might do this just to ship some souveniers home. I've never done this before, but many people have and say it's easy since Fed Ex and UPS arrive at the resort daily. It's just an idea.
