If you want to keep your pics private the best thing to do is find out if your ISP includes webspace. Most fees include webspace ... you might have to use a FTP uploader to upload photos to your webspace.

Example... this is a pic I hosted on my own webspace:

As I have only so much webspace allowed to me for my account... (I could pay for more space but I am cheap like that) I will upload some of my photos to the Dis board. They are smaller and come out like this:

I have used photobucket but to me it can be a pain.

Believe me, if I were the cake lady, you would not be as kind as you have been in describing the actual cake lady Linda. I do not bake. At. all. I leave that up to dh, who is the chef / baker / cook in the family. It's so bad in our family that my younger one in KG class one day, when asked what her mother was going to make for dinner that night, promptly said, "My daddy cooks dinner for us. My mommy sits and reads the newspaper."

Linda (the cake lady) does not make the cakes. She just places the orders and works with the clients. From what I have read the actual bakers are FAB! I have seen pics on the cake thread from those bakers and WOW WOW WOW some pretty incredible stuff comes out of their ovens

Linda is the lady who tells us NO they can't do that when we are looking at pics of people who HAVE done that

Wishes - yes...the concierge staff will sneak the ressie in...I thought you were staying concierge so that's why yesterday I advised you to call THEM directly. They've done that kind of stuff for me before. The GF has guests that come monthly - can you believe it? Anyway...they get first pick of everything, I'm sure. I am glad you got it for one day, but I am SO SURPRISED they are in such demand. I know you need it, but for most people it's kind of a whatever type thing. Ya, it was nice, but honestly I thought they were kind of looking shabby last time I was there. ...and the cushions had a BO smell....kind of icky...I've rented them before and DH liked it but I thought it was just alright. Nothing to rave about...so I guess I am kind of surprised people think they are so great that they have to snag them for a week!!! ???? strange.........

DH is flying into Tampa today, so I need to get him packed and off. Hey! Does that mean I am free to have a cabana boy this weekend? I have a nice pool - it's not open yet though....maybe he'd open it for me.

I can't believe the cake horror stories! You would think a hotel like the GRAND would have a decent cake department....... I am wondering if any of you have complained about Linda? I'm sure upper management would be shocked at the lousy customer service, Disney prides it self on customer service and i'm sure they would not be to proud of this Linda chic

Cakes by Maggie in Auburndale FL does cool dimension custom cakes! The place is only 30 minuets from WDW and I'm sure they would deliver or this Peggy lady that Brooke uses could work with her. Her cakes are relly nice but I don't care for her cake..... really dry. They look amazing but blah taste. For an AMAZING cake their is this place in Lakeland called Deli Delicacies that has the most gorgeous and delicious cakes. I use to work in wedding catering and I have NEVER tasted a bad cake. The are spectacular! My BFF's had them do my baby shower cake for baby #2 and it was better than my wedding cake ( they are booked out 2 years for wedding cakes, people plan there wedding around when they can do the cake!) It looked like a wedding cake, was 3 tiers and the top tier had a bassinet on top...... I have a picture of the bassinet from a friends shower...... let see hope this works, wish I had digital pics of mine it was so nice!

Anyways, my point is I'm sure there are great places outside Disney and Peggy may be able to hook y'all up! If we have great places in my area I'm sure Orlando has em!

Well, I guess I am going to have to do RPC next time if they take care of this, because I am stressing out!!!

I am getting my hair cut and colored today. DS's confirmation is on Tuesday and today they had their 8th grade trip to see Beauty and the Beast. My DS has seen it twice already, but I am sure he'll have a great time.

Brook - Can I use shutterfly to post photos? Your such a computer wiz, I didn't understand and single word in your last post about photos . Now do you understand why my family thinks I am a geek!!!!

One day I'll get my DH to help, since thats what he does for a living. He runs the computer and floor of the NY Mercantile Exchange!!!

Anyway Channing do you have that IPO number. I want to call and find out if booking the Cabanas is a service that they provide, because I'll book next year now or as soon as we get back!!

Are you all cooled off from the cabana boy discussion yesterday!

Annette: So happy you got your cabana. This is going to sound nuts, but sometimes all the drama adds to the fun of planning a WDW vacation. Because when you score, it's such a great feeling!

My DH wanted RPC too. I couldn't get it. When I priced the vacation it was available, when I finally booked it, it was gone. All for the best I believe. I've learned with DH it's better to stay at that the bottom then work your way up. So GV then SL then RPC, that's our plan

DH complained so much one year! We stayed the previous year at CR MK view then the next year I got this huge package with "magical wishes" you use the wishes for meals, massages, tours, etc... It was my 30th Birthday so I thought I splurged (I had no idea what splurging was back then!) So by getting the package I selected a moderate back then it was Dixie Landings, Oh it was so not worth the few hundred bucks I saved! DH complained the entire trip that you don't take him one year to such a nice resort with an amazing view and walking distance to MK then to this resort where we waited forever for the bus! He HATES moderates! I'm just happy to be in WDW. But I learned my lesson! DH works, DH pays for the vacation, we say where DH wants to stay

Channing: I think the cabanas are popular because of the a/c unit. I'm just guessing? But in FL sun in the middle of summer, I'd think that's the big draw.

Mandy: I see a Disney business in your future! Why not offer all these outside vendors to WDW guests then you provide the delivery? I think a little business like Peggy has is a great side job for a mom.

Don't forget to set your recorders for this evening 9pm on the Travel Channel Disney on a Dime - should be a comedy!

With Disney tourist being BIG business I would think lots of local bakeries do business with the tourist... its just a matter of finding the right ones I guess.
