hey gals~ long time no see~

Been busy with my 3 rats and life in general! I spent most the day getting the paperwork and junk ready for our trip in June! Its 58 days away woohoooo we are getting excited!

Anyone know if the new toy story ride is going to up in june?

I had an idea for Savannah's bday but not sure if it would fly.... the plan is while we are eating dinner at 1900 park, Peggy is decorating our room full of tons and tons of cinderella stuff along with a cake. I am thinking of quietly asking our server at 1900 to have Cindy (when she comes to our table) whisper in Savannah's ear something to the effect of her leaving a special surprise for her in our room... sounds dumb maybe but to my princess gaga groupie it would be the BOMB hahaha what do you think would be the best way to go about doing it?

Anyway... sorry I haven't been around lately but things have been hectic here! I haven't even been able to get on ebay to buy any more Disney things

I did see the lady with her bag full of stuffed animals one time. She was alone with them -just sitting in the lobby looking at her lap. I have no clue what she's doing there. I don't think there was music while she was there, either....some people thought she came to listen to the piano & band. I have never seen the towel baby people.

The new ride should definatlly be up and running by then. I think the soft opening is later this month.

Do I detect a Gymboree dress in that siggy pic?! Savannah has the same dress from the tulip line

We are getting excited about the mother daughter thing. We keep teasing the boys about it and they are ticked! Of course they get to go camping with the boy scouts but ... well a tent can't compare to GF
I like the idea of Cindy giving her a little secret, I am just not sure the best way of going about having it done without Savannah hearing and without making a pest of myself. I was thinking of writing a note and handing it to the server.... I am just not sure.

Yep, that's a Gymbo dress! In fact all four are wearing Gymbo! After that shopping spree DH held an intervention!

I am waiting on pins and needles for my son to get home from his first "real" job. For all of you Chicago gals, he is working at our local Jewel. He applied soooo many places(2 diff targets, stores, movie theater) and Jewel is the only one that gave him a chance. Apparently, lots of kids looking for jobs, and not enough jobs to go around. Anyway, he needs to pay for his car insurance and gas for his truck, also to have some pocket money.
I am glad he is working, teaches responsibility. Lots of families around here just hand over money to their kids, along with cars, etc...we just cant afford to do that!
Its really hard to let your kids break away from you

That is great about your son and his job. I hope it went well! My son needs a job, too! I don't know where....he was thinking Wendy's because some friends work there, but I know some druggies work there, too, so I said NO to Wendys. I didn't realize it would be hard to find a job. You're right about it teaching responsibility....my son needs some. He likes money and has some expensive tastes and habits so he needs some of his own cash to go along with that responsibility.

Can you believe Kristy Lee finally got kicked off American Idol last night?

I actually think she has a good voice and has done pretty well the last few weeks. But she couldn't win it, and someone had to go. I think Brooke and Syesha will go next, then I'm not sure. I like all 4 of the rest but Jason's voice definitely isn't as strong as the Davids and Carly. David Cook is my favorite!

I like all 4 of the rest but Jason's voice definitely isn't as strong as the Davids and Carly. David Cook is my favorite!

She is unique but I don't know that her style would be big....more like Sarah McCoughlan in the folksy way but without the vocal range. I ditched the show again before the end! Ya! And speeding it up instead of taking her time and drawing it out....I was getting panicky just watching/listening to her!!! It was getting FASTER AND FASTER!!!

And I thought Kristy Lee's performance was actually pretty cute...kind of Patsy Cline ish.....There are others I dislike more, haha....oh well...I don't vote.

Good Morning!

I plan on taking advantage of the "bonus" nice weather day today. It is going to be sunny and 68 (was supposed to rain all day!) I think we are going to run to Deer Park. Their Ann Taylor Loft store is bigger than my local one and I need to exchang a skirt for a smaller size and grab a pair of shorts (my store doesn't have either)

Brooke- Great to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The offical opening day for Toy Story Mania is 5/20 (Our last day). I am hoping we will stumble upon it open a day or two before, but if not we plan on being at DHS at rope drop so we can ride it before we leave!! I think ME should come get us aroun 1pm.

Tinklvr- hope your son's job went well!! My first job was a cashier at K Mart in the summers after HS... I remember it all too well!!

Good morning ladies! I woke up to a trashy house and instead of cleaning I caught up on this thread! I am singing the "Happy Working Song" from Enchanted and hoping some rodents show up to help! That counts as trying to clean, right?

Mandy - wow....what a blur that must have been ....14 hrs in the car...ick. Glad you're back.

My back hurts so bad!

OMG....I am so bummed. OK.... so the beginning of March I weighed myself - you know right before our vacation. I didn't step on the scale until TODAY....I am UP 6.5 lbs. I cannot believe it. I have been GOOD (seriously counting points the past 2 days ) but pretty good up til then because I have been preparing myself to get on the scale (haha - pretty sad it takes preparation)....So, today is IT I am done messing around. I am going to drop 2 lbs by next Wed. I know how to do it I need to get on it. This gain means I am up 25lbs from my good weight loss before I turned 40. I am sick about it. I don't know what happened and it all snuck back on me. The worst thing is my parents come next weekend......believe me they are pissy & snarky & have no problem hurting anybody's feelings - and it's TRUE so I don't care if some nasty Chicago777 comes on and says "Do your parents read this?" yada yada..... I know my mom will comment on it and that will send me over the edge. My parents are healthy freaks. Golfing daily, walking 3 hrs daily, working out with weights...... they are retired and have nothing better to do! They make me so self conscious.

I got on the scale this morning and I have gained back 3 of the 4 lbs I lost. Lets just say my diet has been blown out of the water eating out for two days and snacking in the car! And my mom (the witch) got pissy at Burger King and told her off in a nice way .... she was so unbearable this trip! I just hate my kids being around her when she acts like that, they don't need to learn that the way she chooses to speak to others is OK.

I think you should print something on pretty paper and put it on a envelope, may be you can give it to the hostess to have it set at your table before your seated? And then when Cindy visits your table you can say something like We got your note about savannas surprise, we can't wait to get back to her room and see what it is....... say it in a prompting manner then she may play along.

I think from this point on it is going to be hard..... I think Syesha may be next. I LOVE Brooke! I am going to be bummed to see her go I honestly don't think she will make it to the finals but she will do well once the AI tour is over! Mariah Carey was HOT, I love how she is the perfect amount of curves with out looking fat! I still think she is a demanding diva that expects to much!

I have a diamond necklace, like the circles that were so popular, mine is two ovals that is missing! I took all my jewelry off last night and left it on the coffee table and the girls found it this morning and played dress up! I found my wedding rings but I am off to search fro my necklace before DH gets home!

I think it's a great idea! You could give a note when you check-in at the restaurant, tell them what you are doing and and ask them to give it to Cinderella's handler. What a fun surprise!

I really shouldn't complain -- at least I'm getting to go to Disneyland for a conference this next week. I'll only get a little time at the park, but that's better than nothing. I really got spoiled going several times last year.

I am off from school today with a tummy problem...Kristin I hear ya...we ate at a new taco place that opened around the corner and it did not sit well with me! Now my husband sprayed for ants and the smell is giving me a migraine!

My son's job went good last night...he said that him and 3 other newbies had to watch video's on how to bag customers groceries! Plus learn how to bring in carts from outside. He said kind of boring but at least he got paid Friday he is on his own!

I with you guys about Kristy getting kicked off AI last night, now if only Jason would leave! My favs are the 2 davids and carly!
