Well, this is where we ate last month!!

The Plaza - First night dinner, light sandwichs, heavy great sundaes
Ohana's - Poly - I am getting tired of this place, but my kids like it
Tutto Italia - Epcot - Italy - Very good, very pretty
Tappen Edo - Epcot - Its new and great, we like Sushi and the chef's are fun
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Lodge - Tradition for us, we having been going there since Natalie is 2. Different food, nice change!!!
GF Cafe - Just OK!!! Tired, rainy took a night off from WDW!!!!
Sci-Fi Dine - DHS -Really Good Burgers (Where else can you in a car????)
Mamma Melrose - DHS - Cute, Pizza, Sangria, Dessert (I really like this park)
Le Cellier - Epcot - Canadia - THE BEST!!!! IMO!!!

We also like France in Epcot - its so pretty and the food is good!!
I would like to switch Kona for Ohana one day -Thats also at the Poly!!

2TS that are our favorites!!

Yachtsman
California Grill
Nacoossee

I feel the same way about Fantasmic!! I rather enjoy walking around the park nice and quiet, jumping off and on rides then sit through that again!!!

Will talk to DAunt about canceling Fantasmic. Come to think of it, the kids may really get a kick out of eating in a car at the sci-fi and DH loves that place! Hmmmm.... Maybe we can get an ADR at LeCellier when we are in EPCOT!

Thanks everyone for all the tips....:goodvibes

WOW - 2 trips this summer - that's awesome! Where did you eat in June?

We are doing....Plaza, Kona, Narcoossees, GFCafe, Brown Derby, CRT, 1900PF, GVL, and still trying to figure out where to eat in EPCOT or the Boardwalk. We heard a lot of good things about Flying Fish Cafe - so it is a definite possibility.

I checked my ADR for Brown Derby and it is actually $46.99 per adult - is it still a waste?

In June, we ended up eating at Crystal Palace for breakfast, Narcoossees (2x), Citricos, Mickey' Backyard BBQ, GF Cafe (breakfast), 50s Prime Time Cafe, Brown Derby, Tusker House. That's it, in eight days. Not much.

We ended up canceling Jiko, Tutto Italia, and Chef Mickeys.

You know, it was our very, very first trip to Disney. We weren't feeling very adventurous and had room service a lot. This time I feel like we know the lay of the land and are ready to venture out and go to more places! My goal is to NOT cancel any of our ADRs!

Oh, a local...I need your opinion. BTW, I have been lurking around here and enjoying the banter...you guys are a fun group!
I will be at GF at Thanksgiving (I see there are a few of us!) and I was wondering about the weather. If it is like it is here in Texas there is no telling what it will be like. Here it could be 90 degrees on Thanksgiving or 50! Is it the same in FL? I am wondering what to pack! Thanks!

Yeah really unpredictable! Unless there is a cold front then it is most likely warmer!

I have been there several times over the past Thanksgivings....OH YA>..it can be 80 during the day but when the sun sets it drops to 50s. We had that happen & were unprepared. We went on a carriage/sleigh ride at WL about 5:30 pm....it was fairly light & in the 70s when we left...during the ride the sun set and by the time we returned to WL it was COLD! We had to go buy polar fleece sweatshirts for the boat ride back to the GF!!!:rotfl: It got cold SO fast.

Last year it was all over the place with the weather, too. It is usually really nice with low to no humidity but the evenings can get cool. THen again in 2006 we were there for Xmas for 9 nights and couldn't even wear our Santa Mickey hats once because it was so hot and muggy!:rotfl:
Chan:)

Great answer Chan! I think with all your WDW trips you pretty much are a local! LOL

I also meant to say, which 1TS throughout all of WDW - not just DHS -would you recommend most!?

Thank you WishesQueen!

I think the best 1TS place would have to be Chefs de France or Le Cellier at Epcot! There are many good places at Epcot that are nice places to eat fro 1TS. :thumbsup2

Ok for real, it was like putting pancake syrup on white rice. REALLY off. That's what I think of when I think Brown Derby. I need a better experience!

Oh and I only saw the first half of Fantasmic and I did not think it was so fantastic, or orgasmic, or whatever combination of two words "Fantasmic" is supposed to be. haha.

I think a maple vinaigrette sounds good, but not on rice! :sad2:

It reminds me of around here it is a local southern thing to butter white rice and sprinkle it with sugar, a lot off peeps eat it fro breakfast (not me, YUCK!):scared:

Fantasmic = Fantastic + Orgasmic! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: that is the funniest thing! Sounds like a new bedroom moto! ;)

Hi gals!!! Well- we are back. It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks.

I had a SUPER conference. We had awesome speakers and entertainment this year. I met Merill Hoge from ESPN. He had a great story about his fight with cancer and playing NFL football. On Friday night Amy Grant and Vince Guill were our entertainment. We also got to see Greg Hahn from the Bob and Tom show...totally hilarious!! Every year I hate leaving the kids to go but we have a BLAST when we get there!!

I will have to catch up on the thread soon to see how everyone is getting along.

Have fun to all who are leaving in the next few weeks.

Dh and I talked about Xmas a little and he said he will just have to see how things are going. Still fingers are crossed for the GF!! (otherwise I will still enjoy WL at Xmas I am sure!!)

Have a good night everyone!!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend...Just back from Boston for the weekend...What a great town...we just love it...Sure has been alot restaurant chat going on...Looks like many of the ones DNiece & I chose are others favs too:) Always glad to hear others opinions...so many choices:confused:
Channing I'm thinking maybe we should cancel Fantasmic dinner package-just the fantasmic part def not the Brown Derby...our whole family likes it

Wishes Queen we always go to the Plaza on our first day too...:) BTW the pictures you posted are hilarious...:lmao: wish my guys would be that cooperative....teens!!!

WE also have an adr at Tony's but have read some unfavorable reviews...thinking maybe we should cancel and just go to one of the resorts for dinner that nite...We do love the Kona Cafe also...

With less than 2 wks to go I guess we'd better decide...:flower3:

Herecomesthesun I see you have been doing quite a bit of chatting while I was away:) Looks like we may want to change some of those adrs around a little....loved reading everyone elses dining plans...seems like we definately plan our day around the meals...not vice versa!!!:rotfl2:

I stayed up to watch it. I love that nbc.com tells you the exact minute that the races are going to come on!
I was a swimmer, and I am so thrilled that swimming is getting more coverage these days. I remember when we were lucky to see some of the final heats. Now they show prelims and semis as well! That race was EXCITING! :cheer2: I loved when the guys were interviewed after the race and one referred to how the "Frenchies" were talking smack.

V, I am sure they will replay it over and over and over. It was a fantastic win for the USA.

Have a great day, everyone!

m&p, yes we cancelled! We skipped Epcot altogether! But we have it booked in two weeks so it's all good! I promise to not cancel this time! :)

You have to do EPCOT this time, Lesley! There are loads of things your boys can do. I also think it will be great for you with your pregnancy! Lots of opprotunities to stop and smell the roses!
