Good Morning Ladies!!! (and M&P!!! Glad you fessed up to being a guy so we can include you in the greeting!!!)
We have never been here. We go to DTD and that other toy store (Is it Once Upon a Toy??), but only stay on that one side with the Christmas store, etc. Is Ghirardelli comparable to Beaches and Cream in terms of ice cream? We have never been there either. I would try to try to plan it for Feb, but I have trouble seeing us venturing to Beach Club just for this ... Well, I would do it, but I can see having trouble convincing my parents and sister this is worth it.
IMHO, Ghiradellis BLOWS AWAY Beaches N Cream. We went to B&C for the first time in August and after Ghiradelli's we were REALLY disappointed. Plus B&C is usually so packed and Ghiradelli's is much easier to get a table. I'm like Chan - I like their version of the No Way Jose followed closely by the berry one.
All packed and ready to go.
Our aircraft left Orlando on time so should land over here on schedule ready for our flight back over the Atlantic.
Hope the rest of you going this month have a good time. If you spot a Scottish family at the pool or bar at the GF say hello. There will be myself, DH, DS9 and DD6.
Kirsty
Have a WONDERFUL time!!!

I met the most charming Scottish family near the Jungle Cruise on our May trip and had a ball chatting with them as it was their first trip at WDW (Ditto for the English family we met at AK in the character lines!!!) Can't wait for your trip report!
I know the Plaza!!!! DUH!
We always go to Caseys Corner!!!! Best WDW Hot Dogs!
BLAH!!!!!!!! How can you be from Chicago and actually like those things???

(That being said we LOVE the corndog nuggets!!

)
Am I the only one who gets to about 10 days before the trip and starts to panic about being ready to go on time? About having everything? About forgetting something important. Or just about having the house clean and neat before leaving (I hate to come back to a mess after a week with daily housekeeping.)
I am turning into a nervous wreck here. And I have a million things to do but can't seem to make myself get moving. ARGGGHHHH!
You are so cute!! This is me every single trip. You will be fine
Tutto Italia was beautiful, I love them all singing Happy Birthday in Italian (although my family sings it differently). We totally used our judgement in ordering there. Being from NY and an Italian, Natalie ordered this great dish that in english was translated as pasta pillows, she loves ravioli so she gave it a try. It was a noodle pasta tied on top filled with riciotta and mozzerella it was excellent. My husband, nephew and I ordered fish it was very good. My son ordered the lasgna that a friend recommended that just returned, honestly I thought I was going to have to give him my dinner. No way did I think that was going to be good, but it was.
We order a couple of appetizers and desserts and I have to say we were disappointed by anything. Leave remove for the desserts they were some of the best. I forgot, my husband had the Italian beer (he knew he loved) and the waiter choose my pinot which was excellent too!!!
Now, Mama Melrose on the other hand. Just from looking around we knew that it wasn't going to be as good. We order the bread appetizer with the spreads and the Sangria (a 1/2 craft, it was awesome). We stuck to salads and flatbreads and it turned out to be one of our favorite places and meals. I think we just enjoyed a fun light dinner and we order the right stuff. I wouldn't order anything else there. The dessert there was really good too!!
ITA!!! Tutto is MUCH different from Alfredos in terms of the style of food. I enjoyed it, but DH did not. I also think the food portions are TINY and I wouldn't have been pleased if we weren't on the
DDP. I wanted to go back but DH wanted the Biergarten again
We think Mama Melrose is lousy. We actually think all the food inside DHS is though!! (Haven't been to the Derby in years though, so maybe it has improved). We go tothe Sci Fi every trip for lunch, but more for atmosphere and not food. We always leave DHS at dinnertime and head to the BW area or EPCOT instead. (I guess this is why we never seem to see Fantasmic!!)
Yes, they now serve wheat buns. It was okay, but I do prefer a regular hot dog bun. DH doesn't care for wheat bread and he didn't even notice!
I am pretty sure that all the CS buns on property went to the new wheat blend. They are a little dryer, but not horrible...
They are supposed to be doing a rehab soon. I don't know why, just saw it listed on a rehab list.
They have been saying this since last year and still nothing though
