okay we got another 4 to 5 inches last night.
I am so sick of the snow!!

Such pretty pictures! I know it is PITA for you that live with it!

I think that for MLK day kids should go to school and spend the day learning about MLK and civil rights and equality.

OMG my DS has learned so much about black history! He can tell you all about Martin L, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, the underground railroads ect...... DS teacher is black and she told me that you would be amazed at the black kids these days that don't know about MLK or the other pioneers like him!

Hi ladies! No time to read everything that was writted the last couple days! We are on our way out the door! Staying near the airport tonight and then leaving for WDW in the morning!

Thanks for all of the advice and well wishes; it has meant a lot to me and I will do my best to remember it all!

I may report in during the trip but just from my centro (not taking my laptop!). I will have plenty of pictures when I get back!

So we had an interesting afternoon !We went to my in laws and had a nice visit and my SIL was also there...We parked behind her and she wanted to leave so my DH went to move the car and e got stuck! Yup my big Tahoe stuck in a freshly made snow bank! Well they tried to get it out but it started to slide down a little ditch so we had to call the tow truck! I am laughing but my DH was sooo upset...I think his pride was hurt more than anything....It could happen to anyone in that driveway! Then we went to eat at a local restaurant and my kids ordered chocolate milk for a drink and it came in these cute bottles like old fashion milk jars...I said oh how cute until the bill came!!! $10 for 2 chocolate milks!!!! I had to say something...I paid the bill and on the way out I said to the hostess that they really should warn people that the milk for kids is that much! She was very nice and said oh no we have a kids size chocolate milk...So they gave me a gift certificate to come back! That was nice! We do go there often so I will use it and know about that choco milk!!!!

That is about it....and I am out.....

OMG about the car and the 5 dollar milk! YOu can buy a whole gallon for that!

You are all just the best! I so needed some kind words yesterday and wow did you guys come through. At one point my eyes were tearing up with the knowledge that I have friends like all of you. THANK YOU!!!!


Mandy I would happily bring you some snow- if only I could figure out how to get it there...you are welcome to come on up and feel the cold...although I can't imagine wanting to (maybe just once ) I've got sleds and snowpants for all the kids...ROAD TRIP!!!!

Morning!

We got a little snow here last night, but now it's just messy slush There might be an inch or two on the ground.

I hit Target this morning right after dropping DS4 off at school. The place was empty! I needed a new mop and couldn't resist picking up the new 100 Cal Little Debbie Brownies - anyone have them yet? Triple chocolate w/frosting YUM 2pts each!

Siobhan: I think the stores will be empty today. Everyone is glued to their tvs. DH wants me to "record the important stuff" I'd love to watch all the coverage but DS1 wants to watch "Einsteins" so, he wins.

Chan: Your neighbor sounds like soap opera-drama!

Sheli: Glad to hear we lifted your spirits a little. Things will all work out.

Mandy: Maybe if you went to a beautiful Ski Lodge you'd enjoy snow. Dealing with it everyday is just not "enjoyable". It's messy and annoying!

So when something comes on TV that's not to be missed, please let me know so I can switch over from Playhouse Disney! I appreciate it!

Wendy I'm sorry about the rain, drive up to the border when the kids get out of school and let them play for a while. It is pretty, but I can see how you can get tired of it everyday. All the schools are closed today and I don't see how they are going to open tomorrow either.

my neighbor is a soap drama. and i am not judging her...to me..i think...hey..go girl..have your fun...whatever...just don't tell me every salacious drippy detail.... seriously she makes me squirm and blush.

i just threw some clothes on and a quickie make up job....i realized Jojo has her school play tonight so i have to do myself up for tonight anyway later. I cannot deal with that twice in one day. ugh....so messy to the restaurant.

yeah..deb..and Disney coffee is wicked brew. That bus driver better know how to make some good coffee. And....everytime I write about the "bus driver"....i hear the "College Road Trip" "Double Dutch Bus" song in my head for a while after.....

OK..wish me luck..i am off....and I might come back with some new material for this thread....except it might be rated R or...closer to X.....omg...so not in the mood for this.....

New Dining Reservation System Coming Soon - Rumors Suggest Credit Card Guarantee is Coming

Details about the new Walt Disney World Resort dining reservation system are developing at a snail's pace. But new clues regarding how reservations will be handled have recently been discovered on the Disney World website. Two new disclaimers have appeared, one appearing on the Disney Dining Plan webpage and another that appears on individual restaurant profile pages. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/vacation-packages/2009/dining/

While no official announcements have been made public regarding the new reservation system, some changes have already been implemented. Advanced dining reservations (ADR's) are now being accepted 90 days prior to arrival, not 180 days as before. Disney states that this is, "due to the pending implementation of a new dining reservation system."

An additional disclaimer has also been added to individual restaurant pages. For example, the page for Boatwright's Dining Hall states, "A cancellation policy applies and may result in charges if you cancel with insufficient notice." http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/re...ort-riverside/dining/boatwrights-dining-hall/

The new dining reservation system is still quite uncertain however, Cast Members have consistently speculated that overbooking and no-shows are a very real problem at Walt Disney World restaurants. Looks like the bus driver is the only one out of the bunch that doesn't need a coffee fix . She will have her hands full with you gals on coffee overload

I hate when football ends. It is so depressing....It wasnt the same for me this year, losing Brady sucked. He will be back next year though...watch out.
I cant imagine not watching football with my family on Sundays its a huge tradition.

Great pictures! I spent some time out in the lounge, and any time someone knew came in, I'm sure I was staring trying to figure out if the new people were the Marvels... I did manage to find Ray Liotta, but no Captain Marvel...

Crap- Marci beat me too it!!!! I have never even been to RPC and I knew that was the laundry room!

None of you are uppiDy...but you sure as hell are chatty! (not catty- well- not much ) 6 pages today alone! Goodness- must be cold outside or something.

I not been posting the last few days but I have been following along. I am having a hard time right now, and an even harder time facing it. My husband lost his job 10 days ago- and I am feeling like I am in a spin. It was so unexpected, unplanned, and not his fault. I am mad about it- with on one to blame but the economy.
And it is hard to come on here and chat happily along and pretend everything is fine. A few of the gals know about it, but l this is my first public post about it. Mostly I wanted you guys to know I am not ignoring the friends I have found here- I am just trying to figure it all out here at home.

Mare.....Thanks for that info ....but I think I am signed up for everything Disney offers and still nothing . I get the Disney Insider and some Family Disney emails all the time......I'm just missing the 40% off code emails . I even went online about 2 weeks ago and registered DH's email address but nothing as of yet for him either . I have read of some peeps having multiple email addresses and getting codes at some but not others . Here's hoping for a great deal for fall/winter for all of us that aren't lucky enough to get a code . I'm curious to see what happens after our June trip with 4 of my family members who have never stayed on Disney property . I made all the ressies and all the paperwork has MY email address........I will flip out if I get a code sent to my email address in one of their names .
