OK...Jojo and I are going to brave it and make it. I have the stuff....it's meant to be.

Chan
gf gal all the way:thumbsup2

OK...dumb question....who is Sandra Lee???:rotfl:

Chan
GF GAL that doesn't watch the food network much...except "Good Eats";)

Sandra Lee hosts Semi-Homemade on the Food Network. Her motto is 70% store bought, 30% fresh ingredients, you get all the credit. She has some WONDERFUL tips though.

Here are a few of my favs

- add 1 teaspoon vanilla to packaged cake mixes
- add 1 teasponn vanilla to cool whip or cans of frosting to eliminate the "packaged taste"

Lisa: Beautiful snow pictures! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Blue Skies: I have a recipe for Bisquick Zucchini Quiche. Just use fat free bisquick, fat free cheese and you're recipe should be much healthier. My DH eats the quiche and has no clue it's low-fat :rotfl:

Thanks for the Mousesavers link to Mary Poppins. We might just go now. The tickets are down to $46 for good seats! That's more than half price! :cool1:

Kristin: Thanks for the recipe, I love Sandra Lee. She has some good crockpot recipes. Thanks for the tips too! I hate box cakes for that reason! You can always taste a box cake! I'll have to try it with the vanilla!

Chan: Let us know how the cookies are without raisins. I'll be making them the same way. DS4 hates raisins, but loves choc chips!

ah..thanks for the info guys.....

Well...they were in the oven before you told me to increase the choc chips!! so it's fine!! We increased the PB lol.

It was a race against time because BAD ME forgot I had to pick up Lu after play practice...lol...and I was pushing it to get them baked completely before I ran out the door.

I will let ya know how they are!! We have to whip up a quick dinner tonight so Jo can make it to school on time....and the girls want them for dessert....

I had to bake them in a round glass pie dish, too!!! omg...:rotfl: I didn't have a 9 inch sq pan!!! only had 8!! wth?!?!? So...whatever....i should take a pic and you can tell me if they look right.....it looks like a jumbo oatmeal cookie.:rotfl:

Chan
GF GAL :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's the reason that I asked for a crock pot for Christmas! :lmao: (My parents gave me her crock pot cookbook to go with it! :thumbsup2 )

The vanilla in the cake mix was the best trick EVER!! I put it in white cake, yellow cake and chocolate cake. And I put lemon extract in lemon cake for extra zing. She also makes strawberry cake using strawberry juice instead of water, but that was overkill to me :crazy2:

ok...don't laugh...i hate trying to make something when I have no idea what it's supposed to really look like......

I think i didn't smush them down hard enough...the dough was kinda spongy once I added the egg..so it wasn't as smushable as I kinda thought it would be.....as you can see Lucy and I HAD to do a taste test...they are yummo....but they'd be even better with a scoop of icecream on top.....YUMMOLA.

GF GAL...NOT Poly Gal...ew:lmao:

Channing-that looks delicious! It is making me hungry.

Kristin-I love Sandra Lee also. I have her Cooking and Dessert cookbooks. I didn't know that she has a crock pot one, I bet that is very good. Thanks for sharing.

Channing- that looks really good! :thumbsup2 I don't like rasins either so I would likly make it like you. Good Eats is the only FN show I catch.

Lisa- I love the doggie pics:goodvibes I think you have more snow there then we have here in Dayton:rotfl2:

Chan it looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think making it in a pie plate and slicing it like a pie and adding ice cream is the PERFECT way to do it!!!

Lisa- I have TONS of her cookbooks (Semi Home made Cooking, Semi Homemade Desserts, Semi Homemade Grilling etc.) I love her stuff!!!

I've never seen snow! I want to go somewhere one day to see it snow!

:artist: I love this guy.... we do lots of crafts around here so he might get used a lot by me!
Come on up, we have lots. I'll be happy to send you some.:rotfl2:
Not up my crack....:rotfl2: :lmao:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Did someone say COFFEE???? coffeecoffeecoffeecoffeecoffee!!!!! (bevis and butthead)
I agree with Wendy... :hyper: This guy looks like I feel with not enough sleep and too much coffee!!! GF HERE WE COME!!!! (Back to my favorite coffee/latte/cappuchino machine in the whole world!!!)
I love that machine. I get my money's worth out of CL just on the cappuchino's.

Deb: It is 59 days until spring.

Chan: I can't do anything before my coffee, including making coffee,:lmao: I make it the night before, it is on a timer, and it is all ready for me when I get up.

Kristin: Yes, GO SOX, but your sox are the wrong color.:lmao: We are big baseball fans too.:thumbsup2

:yay: :woohoo: Since Chan assured me I wouldn't get kicked off of this thread for liking the Poly, I can tell you I booked the Poly GV CL for our anniversary in October. Now I will be watching for a code or good AP rate. Maybe I'll do a split stay with the GF.

Thanks guys...GALS...I mean. So is that how it's supposed to look? It's more "Cakey" than I thought it would be...but it's gooey and melty and good.

Maxie
....you are one of us.;) We have your back.:thumbsup2

Christine...we all love Good Eats....We DVR it and Jojo watches it over and over...omg....kinda pathetic...it's a favorite of hers. I think AB is cute and a riot.

TTYL...off to school!
Chan
GF GAL!:cool1:

Cakey-sounds like right to me :confused3 Granted, I haven't tried these yet, but they looked like tollhouse bars to me (and my tollhouse bars always turn out cakey)

Maxie86- Go Redsox!!!:cheer2: I am a huge Redsox/Pats fan. I am origionally from NH. I can't wait for the season to start..... I am just waiting to see what will happen with Vteck:sad2:

Kelly- At least there are only a few weeks between football and baseball :cool1: Hopefully Brady will be healty to start next season!

Everyone was right about the stores being dead today. I work retail and we were extremely quiet today. At least it gave me time to get my work in the office done.

I love the tip about the vanilla in the cake mix. I will have to try that.

My friend wants to get a tatoo tomorrow and is trying to talk me into getting one. A little Mickey on my ankle could be cute. I have always secretly wanted one but I am afraid of needles and pain. :sad2:

Maxie Congrats on booking the Poly and Congrats on your anniversary!!! I love both the Poly and GF. The GF a little more. I also wear my tangly sweater at both hotels. Jk.

spacec47 :cool1: Another Red Sox fan. I can't wait for the season to start. Since the Pats weren't in the playoffs it has been a long time from the end of football and the start of baseball.

Lisa: Nice snow pic's. That looks like a lot of snow for you.

It is snowing here again. We got over an inch before I left work and it is still snowing. We had a little last night, less than half an inch. I am so tired of this. I want warm and sunny. :beach:

ChrisHart: Thanks. I'll have to remember to take my sweater to the Poly.:lmao:

Cakey-sounds like right to me :confused3 Granted, I haven't tried these yet, but they looked like tollhouse bars to me (and my tollhouse bars always turn out cakey)

I like it..it's getting more dense as it cools. Lucy and I are like ooooh yum...Jojo doesn't care for it due to the oats...which I should have known...miss picky.

it was FAST and easy!:thumbsup2

I wonder if I could freeze those pb bars from AtC? if I could...I might Fed Ex a bunch down for kicks.:goodvibes

The school thing was cute. Glad to be home..but I missed AI!!!

TTYL...
Chan
GF GAL :)

Evening Gals :)

Boy what a day it's been :faint:. DSs got out of school at noon and me and DS13 left at 1:30 and didn't get home until 6:00 . Needless to say I picked something up for dinner as I was NOT about to get home and start cooking at 6:00 :rotfl:. Lots of chatting going on while I was gone :rolleyes1.

Chan.....Glad breakfast went well and things didn't get nasty :rolleyes2. The Oatmeal Peanut Butter bars look yummy :goodvibes. I'll have to give those a try....maybe tomorrow....I think I may have everything I need :scratchin (minus the raisins though as none of us here eat them).

Lisa......Great pics :thumbsup2. And Max is adorable ::yes::.

Kristin......I'll have to try your tip on vanilla in cake mixes....I've never heard of that before :). Thanks for posting that recipe ;).

Maxie........Only 59 days until spring :cool1: :cool1:. I have about HAD IT with this crappy winter weather :headache:. I want all the snow to melt and things to start blooming and be WARM :flower3:. Good for you for booking your anniversary trip........AND AT THE POLY :woohoo: :woohoo: (sorry Chan :sad2:).

Mandy......Here's hoping you get to see some snow flurries pixiedust:. But like Chan and Dawn said.....book a flight here to IL and you can see all the snow you want :rotfl: :rotfl:.

Christine......My DH keeps telling me to get a Mickey head tatoo on my ankle......but I'm not much for tats :sad2:.....plus I'm a chicken when it comes to needles digging into my skin :scared:.

Deb princess:

Hi, Deb! we posted at the same time.....

Well..I just hope Maxie has a good time at the Poly...or I'd say I told ya so...like I had to to Marvel.:rotfl:

We've tried it enough times to be fair and give it a chance...it's not our bag...but to each their own.:confused3

Where were you all afternoon?? Did I miss that?

Chan
