Oh I LOVE watching football!!!!!! My brother is a Defense Coordinater for a high school team and once I finally started understanding the game, I got very into it. DS13 actually started being the ball boy at those games and he loves it!!!! We never miss a game and it's so much fun . Of course I think my brother spends more time with that during football season than his full time job....but I think he'd die if he couldn't coach.....it's in his blood . Going to the hs games is what got me into watching the pros......I'm always glued to the tv whenever a game is on . Speaking of which.....Sunday will be interesting to see who goes to the Super Bowl .

Morning all

I am about to head out the door to take DD to preschool and I am ahead of schedule so I figured I could DIS for a few minuets!

After today we have a 4 day weekend! The kids are out next mon and tues adn DH is off on MON

I have lots of plans to keep us busy! A day at Disney sounds nice! I wonder what the crowds are like on MLK day????? We like Sunday afternoons after church but by then TSM fast passes are gone...... A after noon at Epcot sounds good!

I like Donovan and would like to see him win.
THe cards stink and got lucky the pats beat thema few weeks ago by over 20 points. They arent a playoff team and are beenfiting from a bad system.
I hate the Steelers with a passion so I dont want them to win and like the Ravens young QB reminds me of someone named Brady.

Morning ladies!

My DS4 wanted to watch the airplane news all morning rather than Playhouse Disney! I'm trying to explain to him how the birds got into the engine and how the pilot safely landed the plane in the water and now he wants to know if our Disney plane will go in the water too! He's not scared, just curious but I'm so afraid that he'll get the wrong idea. He's way too young to have a fear of flying. My DH is totally freaked out as he hates to fly!I'd love to watch all the coverage, but I don't want those two to see it.

DS4 has a half day today. He's out at 11:15 then we're going out to lunch (it better not be McD's again!) and buying him a pinata for his bday. He is so excited to get a pinata It's his first!

Kristin: I'm heading to Stew Leonards afterwards. They roast their own coffee beans on site. Their Kona sells for $23.99 lb, but many times it's on sale for $16.99 lb. Want me to pick you up some? I'd be happy to mail it to you.

Mandy: Way to go on the marathon!! I'll cheer from the sidelines too. I'm a walker not a runner.

Shelli: Wow, that's some cake story! Now I have to try the carrot cake at the MK Bakery! I just thought of carrot cake because I saw it on the GF Bakery cake options.

There was a mom at DD old preschool that had a Steelers tramp stamp tat across her lower back complete withe the red, blue, and yellow star like things....... DH saw it the first time he dropped DD off and was like

Hello? I wanna know too. THAT was freakish. I know at our little airport here, they have sniper shooters to get any deer or birds that get in they way,,,, but I figured that was only for the little planes.

OOOH!!! Pinatas are such fun. My kids always used to have pinatas!! Then, Lucy decided a candy hunt was more fun so she had Zack hide candy all over the yard....not really hide - just throw! She only did that because the last pinata she had did not want to break! Sometimes ya have to go into the inside (before you fill it) and tear away at the lining a bit...just to weaken it enough so kids can break it.

OH THank GOD. IT is BRUTAL HERE TODAY. There are NO WORDS for how cold it is. It is unreal. Even my arctic dog does not dilly dally outside.

Jo had a nice bday yesterday. Thanks for asking and thinking of us, gals. She loved her gifts & had a nice time with my parents. They adore her & she was thrilled they were here.

It is soo cold here but there is still school. ds9 looks like Ralphie's brother in the christmas story.

Kristin......Please don't worry about DS and all these make up days at the end of the year . Nothing ever goes on those last few days anyway.....and he's only in kindergarten.....so don't worry!!!!!! Just focus on GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!

We didn't have school today either so my cushion days are gone!! If they make all these up, his last day will be the day before we leave. I mentioned that to DH last night, who seemed unconcerned. I guess he knows me well enought to know I am taking that trip as planned no matter when the last day is!! I think DS MIGHT be disappointed if he was supposed to be in school on his actual bday (he wants to do the cupcake thing ) but I am sure I can work it out with his teacher to give him a "birthday day" the week before. She is in on my surprise and almost as excited about it as I am!!! Besides, I think being in WDW on your bday is WAY better than having cupcakes at school

Oh Amy...are you getting soooo excited! Just remember my one piece of advice that I give to every bride...If something goes wrong, you are the only one that knows it didnt go as planned...Your guests are non the wiser!

I too am a HUGE football fan (it's just not easy when you have the Bears to chose from!! ) I don't care much for the Eagles (McNabb is too much of a prima donna IMO) and I don't want the Steelers or the Ravens to win since they both won recently. (I was cheering hard for the Chargers to beat Pitt last week just so the upset weekend could be a perfecta!!) I am cheering for the Cards! Not because I like them (although Kurt Warner is easy on the eyes ) but because it is a great Cinderella story...

DS is NOT happy about being off again today. We are also off for the holiday on Monday. Thank goodness he has 2 birthday parties this weekend!! I think we may need to watch some more Star Wars later today... it is still too darn cold to venture out!!

I had to turn the plane stuff off last night. I was turning into a big weepy mess over how great it was that they survived etc. So I watched "300" instead That was a yummy movie (if you can get past people's heads being lopped off!)

I'm not sure who I'm cheering for just yet but I was a little sad when the Chargers lost last weekend . I was upset that Ladanian Tomlinson was hurt and couldn't play .

Hey Mare .......Thank goodness nobody here is afraid to fly because if I had to drive to Orlando, I'd be pulling my hair out . But everyone knows driving is NOT an option . But that plane crash does make you think.....it is scary . Have a fun lunch today.

On football......I was at my mom's yesterday and my dad was just talking about Tim Tebow .

I'm glad your DH doesn't think DS missing the last day or so of school is a big deal.....makes it that much easier for you .
