UH oh the cable guys are coming back!!!

Tell me about it... I am from the school of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" so I am not the least bit surprised. The dolt on the phone was useless so I did the live chat and they are sending a tech today between 1-4pm (not bad considering it is 1:30 right now!!) While I was still finishing with the chat tech, the phone rang with a different CSR confirming the appointment! Not the service I am used to from Comcast!!!

Hopefully someone is in the area and can get it turned back on. I never realized how much I watch TV until it's gone!

We know those crab cakes! Thank goodness we can get fresh crabmeat here because they are so much better with fresh! I can see what you mean about the crab prices - $35.99 is ridiculous!!

I know! It killed me to pay $35 for it one Xmas!! But DH said it's a holiday, don't be cheap! I just hate it knowing it's $5 lb down in HHI!!

Oh and the name - the Gullah would call it "Da Fus Key" when they began living on the island after the Civil War, but Indians lived on the island first and they actually named it Daufuskie which means "pointed feather." They thought thats what the land looked like apparently. I think they tell the Gullah story because it sounds interesting! Gotta love my kids history class! !

See, they don't tell you that version! Wonder if they even know that! They like telling the first key story. We heard it so many times!

We LOVE Disney's HHI! Did you all have fun? Can't wait to go in June!

We loved it. We went in Sept 2000. Disney mailed me my one and only postcard with a great rate for the DVC HHI. It was something like $300 for 5 nights in a two-bedroom villa. So we drove down (which I've never done before!) We weren't interested in purchasing DVC, just enjoyed a discounted vacation. Now we think all the time "what if" we would have purchased back then when it was $60 a point! What's it now well over $100!

We took the DVC tour in Nov just to kill time and really to get the fastpasses they give you. They helped so much during Thanksgiving week! Well worth the 90 mins spent listen to the DVC speech! So dishonest right? Well, we did want to see what the BLT rooms looked like. But really had no intension of purchasing it.

Mare Glad you liked the DVC tour... I thought the photos of the BLT rooms looked pretty nice...very different from the GF but nice in their own CR way...

At the SSR they've set up a DVC sales site. What was once a movie theater is now the BLT and AKL villa samples. We just went to see the BLT rooms. Personally, I didn't care for the decor - funky modern bachelor. We only saw photos of the pool complex.

But honestly we were impressed with the entire operation! A mini van picked us up at the BWI (with carseats!) and drove us to SSR. At SSR, they had a HUGE kid's club for DS4 - he walked in and never looked at us again! We took DS1 with us on the tour but he feel asleep quickly and napped in his stroller. They had plenty of refreshments available while we were there. Then after the tour, they lead you into an old time ice cream shop for sundaes! This is where you wait for the van to pick you up. The van will drop you off anywhere. We also saw this as a bonus as we were going to Ft Wilderness for the HDDR and it's a PITA to get there.

So you can say we used DVC for their transporation, kid's club and free fastpasses Wow, that's really terrible of us. But we did have a lovely conversation with our sales rep and it was a nice way to kill some time.

The FPs were amazing! You get one credit card per person (including DS1). On each card is three FPs to be used within 3 days. When you use the card, the FP machine spits out a FP for the present time window. This was amazing!!! We went to TSM and they were just about to run out of FPs for the day at 10:30 am. All the FP were printing out 7pm or later. Mine said 10:45 am!!! I freaked out!!! This was our first time on the ride and we never would have rode it otherwise. The wait time was 120 mins already by 10:30 am.

So thanks to DVC we rode TSM!

OK, so it's fixed. When the other guys came last week to fix "the leak of service" they never logged in that they fixed it. So someone came while I was out and disconnected us (and since Comcast's systems were down, they couldn't tell me that). So this guy reconnected us, came down to the basement with his Ghostbusters Gadget and confirmed there was no longer a leak and promised to log it in the system.

Oh well, they are giving me a 2 day credit on my bill for the inconvenience

And now it is snowing It better not stick!! I am DONE with snow this winter.

OMG...for the longest time i would look at peeps and think...ok...would I get creeped out sitting next to you on a flight? I really did. I am that weird....so THANKS so much for that extra little push toward weirdness!!!! Just what I need!!!!


WE NEED TO FILL A ROW!!!!! Or Dawn and I need our own row with a nice empty seat in the middle......maybe we have to sit in the back of the plane or something to ensure that......we don't need some creepy freakdude with us for 2.5 hours.

If its any consolation I am in the same boat in June... which means I will get stuck in the middle set with DS by the window...I will probably head for the back as well and hope that my early Tuesday AM flight isn't that crowded

Yes...unfortunately I think the back of the plane is the place to be for the best luck with an empty seat......darn. But that's OK...our flight lands at 10 and the Logan flight lands at 11...so we have time to dilly dally.....It will be worth it for the empty seat!

I hate the middle seat...ick. I always take the aisle when I am with Lu and Jo....

I hope there are no creepies on our flight...but what are the chances of that?

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes. OK, he is driving me nuts already. He doesn't know what to with himself. He tried watching TV and reading a book. Neither one lasted very long. He just sits in his chair and then gets up and walks around. It gonna be a long long week.

I gained 5 pounds reading all of your recipies. They sound yummy.

BlueSkies, how was the bike shopping, did you get one?

Kristin, glad you got your cable back. That was quick for Comcast. I really miss it when it is out, I always have a TV on whether I am watching or not.

I had to catch up...I was schlepping kids around....now I have to run to Lucy's drumming show at school....she is in like a "world drumming" club...and this is their first performance....
