I am fuming mad!

I got a phone call from DS reading specialist (he is in advanced reading :thumbsup2 ) and went to my room to talk. My 2 and 3 year old got the box of raisins (brand new box mind you ) of the counter and played with them. When I came out of my room there were raisins spread all over the living room, dining room, and into the kitchen..... I just cleaned my carpets :sad2: They got in big trouble and I made them pick up raisins....all of them!

BUMMER!!!! :rotfl: But they're so darn cute......princess: princess: You can't be mad for long.:goodvibes

WHOO HOO! I will be meeting up with you all and joining the party! :cool1: :cheer2:

YAY!!!! The countdown is ON!:cool1:

Am I now the Only one coming in on Friday? Is Wendy coming in earlier now?

We are waiting to hear from Wendy if she was able to switch her flight.

Channing - I keep having this vision of your gals "borrowing" one of those long golf carts and riding it around the GF or "borrowing" the horse and carriage, but then fighting over who gets to seat in it first. Please take lots of pictures - I'm sure something is going to happen, Lisa.

Afternoon Ladies :)

Haven't done much laundry today but did manage to get lots of cleaning done :thumbsup2. Lots of chit chat going on here while I was away :rolleyes2. I think you Feb gals are in for a wild ride :drive:

Mandy.....The pin code I got seems to just be the gift card with no room discount attached :sad2:. But the $500 card would be great to get :goodvibes. I was wondering the same thing about Disney being low on their bookings because this offer is for bookings from 3/1-4/16.......right in the middle of spring break/peak season . Usually those dates are excluded from any offers that come out.......so bookings must be down :confused3.

Deb :flower3:

Hey Gals!

You February gals and your crazy bus are cracking me up!!!:lmao: Look out GF...here they come!!:drive:

Dawn I used your stroganoff recipe but cooked a whole roast as thats what I had on hand...its was yummy...

Mandy Kids!! What they will do when we're not looking!! Even the big ones...:crazy2:

Kristin Oh no not Ohanas too...at least this is closer to the GF...not traveling far...I'm hoping it will be a good breakfast...

Deb A code finally....maybe another will follow soon one that you can use...:goodvibes

Mare I am not a big AK or AKL fan so I'm not real familiar their restaurants....

Now I have to figure out how to squeeze Yachtsman into the mix...trying to coordinate the parks and restaurants and to keep travel time to a minimum:confused3

I will say though planning is half the fun...well almost!

Mare I always miss things along the way...:rotfl: but I wanted to add...stay AWAY from that laundry room!!!!Get that laundry packed up and bring it to the country house...

I know bed bugs is a growing problem again...remember the bed bug thread....:scared: Not sure what the solution is....

Hope the problem is quickly solved....

I hope so pixiedust:. I was hoping Disney would release a deal for the latter half of this year soon.....but I just saw on Disney's website that they extended the booking window for the 4/3 deal to 3/29 . I know for our week in June alot of the resorts are showing no availability. The YC and SSR have been popping up, but the GF, WL, BC, Poly, and CR are showing nothing :scratchin.

Since Fantasmic is not a "Must See" for us, we go to Yachtsman after spending the day at DHS. Then we walk or boat to EPCOT and monorail back to the GF. It usually works well, but that is a LONG meal (2 hour minimum) so make your ADR accordingly so you can still get into EPCOT before it closes.

I forgot to hit multi quote :flower3:
So Dawn is spreading around a virus, huh??? Maybe I got it from her?? :lmao: Just kidding!!!!!!!!

For the virus scared, don't worry about clicking on my link (I know it was from Fox News, so that was probably scary enough for ya!! :goodvibes ). Just make sure you do a Window's Update to make sure you have their latest security "stuff" :thumbsup2 If your computer won't allow you to update (meaning, the update screen won't even load, than you already have it)

I ran my errands, cleaned my whole house, so I am off to enjoy my book for a few hours until DS comes home.

TTFN!!

Deb, aside from the pin code, I have never gotten a general public deal from WDW for late in the year until September. And last year, my week was excluded from the deals anyway (thank goodness for the pin code!!!)

I need some advice from the experienced moms! :worried:

Today at pick up a mom asked me if DS4 was having a birthday party, I was speechless! :faint: I told her not in school as this year school pizza parties are not allowed (cupcakes only) and then dodged her as the kids came out.

I didn't invite her son, and she found out. We are not friends just hi and bye :chat: at pick up. I asked the teacher for a list of DS's close buddies. She gave me 10 names and explained how DS plays and interacts with each one. Well, this kid was not on the list. So I didn't invite him.:worried:

Last year, I invited everyone in his class and it was way too many kids.

I'm just so surprised she would ask me!!

So now on Tuesday their school is having a Parent Open House where for two hours we observe them in class. I'm going to have to chat with this mom again and I have no idea what to say!!! :scared1:

I also have to find out if two of the kids are attending the party and I don't know them or their parents (there are 10 new kids in his class this year).

This mom is not the type to just drop it. I KNOW she's going to ask me again and I doubt she will understand that it's a very small party (15 kids) and I only invited his friends. She speaks with a heavy chinese accent, but I'm doubting it's a culture thing here.

Ugh!! I knew something like this was bound to happen when you don't invite the entire class! :sad1:

Why isn't there a Cosmo smile? I can really use a drink right now! :drinking1 (this should be a martini glass with pink liquid!!)

Mare
Who could use a very strong drink right now!

This is good to know....thanks :goodvibes. Those pin codes come in handy and make a big difference ::yes::. Also.....I didn't realize Yachtsman Steakhouse was that long of a meal :scared:....that will make a difference of what time I do :). Thanks again :thumbsup2.

OK, I think I found a cake that I actually can make (and won't take all day!!)

You know the Betty Crocker in me couldn't stand the thought of a bakery making my cake for me!! :rotfl:

And speaking of bdays, Mare, that is a tough one. But if she is going to have the guts to blatantly ask, you are going to have to be honest and tell her that you chose not to invite the whole class this year, just DS's close friends. And if she still bauks at it, tell her that you didn't think your children play together. That will probably scare her away!!! :rotfl:

Mare.......When my boys were younger, I've always just invited certain kids and have never invited the entire class, but I think you should just tell this mom that you're only having a certain number of kids and not everybody in the class was invited . Not to sound harsh, but I wouldn't worry about her understanding it.......it sounds like your DS doesn't play much with her child so you shouldn't feel bad about not inviting him :confused3. But don't let her make you feel bad where you feel obligated to invite her son :rolleyes2. I can't imagine ever asking a parent that if it was my son not invited....seems a little bold on her part :rolleyes1. Good luck with everything :flower3:.

Deb :)

Thanks! I was about to explain everything to her but I was so taken back that she would ask me! I've been thinking about this all afternoon. I think figured out what got her - I invited a friend of her sons. I just realized that the other boy is chinese (I didn't know - his last name is Italian, but when his mom called to RSVP, she had a very thick chinese accent) So SHE was the one who blabbed about the party! Had to be!

So I think this mom is upset that I would invite the "new" kid and not her kid since we've known them for two years now.

Regardless, I didn't pick the list, the teacher did! Should this mom ask me again I will tell her how it all happened. I'm just so shocked she asked me!!

Kristin: I'm loving your theme! I know you can make an amazing cake! Go for it! I take the easy way out - all inclusive party at the party place. I just have to bring the pinata! They supply everything.

Since we're talking parties, how do you handle when all these moms (that I don't know) call or email me to RSVP then ask what does DS4 want!! They really want to know. I keep saying I have to ask him I have no idea. But some are pushy!

I'm so not into this!:sad2:

Deb: Figure all 2TS meals run 90 mins to 2 hours :thumbsup2 It's a dining experience.

BlueDeb: I'm staying so far away from the laundry room!

I love the cake......and the candle :thumbsup2. I like to bake and I do alot of it around the holidays, but I could NEVER bake a cake like that :sad2:. Betty Crocker I am not :rotfl: :rotfl:. But I know you can make an awesome cake ::yes::.

Good to know about the 2TS meals.....we've never done a signature restaurant before so I wasn't aware of the time frame...thanks :goodvibes.

As far as ideas for DS.....unless there's something specific he wants that you feel comfortable telling them, I'd just tell them what he's into and let them see what they come up with :confused3.

Deb :rolleyes2

Mare, just give them some ideas about what he likes to play with (cars, lego's, thomas the train etc.)

I just showed DS the picture of the cake and he LOVED it!!! He said "Mommy, can you really make that cake??????????" I guess we'll see! :rotfl:

GALS....ya im spreading that virus around while my fat a** is scraping the ground hanging out the bus...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: It aint pretty!

I hope all goes well on Tuesday with the surgery . 6 months of rehab :scared1:. Men being sick or injured is not a good combination :crazy2:. Just remember that we're here for ya :grouphug:.

Deb :goodvibes

Holy Cow Dawn!!!!!!!!! :grouphug: Thank goodness they are doing it soon though! pixiedust: For a speedy recovery!!

My 88 year old grandma had a full knee replacement surgery last year (after a year of rehab etc) and she said it was the best thing she ever did!! 3 days in the hospital, 10 days in a rehab center and a physical therapist came to the house 2-3 days per week for 6 weeks or so. She doesn't even use a cane!!!
