Kristin Thanks for the virus info...we had a computer problem last week...but I attributed it to the computer wrecking teens!!!! anyway its now fixed...

Also I think the Star Wars theme is great and it ties in with the trip too.... That cake is amazing...even more amazing that you are a good enough baker to make it! If I made one....lets just say I am not the Martha that you are..

Also maybe Yachtsman after DHS would work out well....I guess we could skip the Brown Derby this time....I'll check with the troops....

Mare How nervy of that mom!! I guess you're just going to have to tell her the truth...or cough alot next time you see her so she'll keep her distance...

Deb Ya those signature can take a while but they are worth it...all of the courses...and some of those desserts...OMG...almond cheese cake at Narcoosees for example....sticking to my diet so I'm enjoying just thinking about this....

Lots to catch up on today. Lets see what I remember.

Siobhan Sorry you still have your cough. Hope your friend doesn't need surgery. DH's tear is too bad to just do laser, so he will need the surgery. I am really excited that Fios is just about ready to be installed. They are just finishing up loose ends and will begin booking installations soon. Do you have satellite? We tried Direct TV. What a nightmare. To make a long story short, it cost us over $300 for 3 days of horrible terrible TV reception. I had to pay over $300 to get out of the contract. We disconnected it and hooked the cable back up.

Deb Congrats on the gift card offer. Even if you can't take advantage of it, it is nice to at least get an offer. It has been awhile since I got anything from Disney Destinations. I used to get stuff from them a lot but nothing for a couple of months, never a code though. I'm hoping for something for the fall too.

Chan: We don't have Verizon's digital phone yet, will when we get Fios, but we never have problems with DSL and rarely with our regular phone. Hope they get your's straightened out. We have never had any problems with their customer service either. They are way better than Comcast.


Mandy: Thanks for the prayers. Sick or injured DH's should not be allowed to be home. If I had to choose between Comcast and Direct TV, I would pick Comcast and I hate Comcast. My cable bill doubled when they took over from our old cable company.

Mare: Thanks for the prayers. Bedbugs Stay far far away from the laundry room. You really do not owe that mother an explanation. She was very rude to ask you about the party. You are under no oblgation to answer a rude question or to invite the whole class. Now, if you want to be a little classy and rise above the rudeness, all you need to say is that you could not invite the whole class. That way she knows that her child is not the only one that isn't invited.

Dawn While I was typing my novel I missed your post...so sorry to hear that DH needs to have so much surgery...but atleast its soon and then he will be on the mend...keeping you in my thoughts too(we all know what kind of patients the DHs can be )....

Maxie Thanks for keeping that spring countdown going Its supposed to warm up (alittle!) this week end and then get colder again ...have I mentioned lately how much I hate the cold...I think I heard you do too.... Keeping you and your DH in my thoughts too...

BlueSkies I didn't realize that I ever mentioned that I don't like the cold. It was 40 today, but back to the deep freeze tomorrow.

All this talk about ADR's. I haven't even thought about it yet. I usually only make one or two ADR's, for places we really want to go, then just wing it for the rest of the time. Works for us. Never ate in Narcoosees or Citrico's, maybe we should do both this time since it will just be DH and I. I would love to eat at V&A's, but the food is just too fancy for me.

Wow Maxie that is too bad about your DH..I hope it goes well! Oh and we had direct tv a while back and I couldnt wait for my contract to be up! I am with comcast now and my bill goes up and up..... Oh and now we have to get that stupid NFL network package because apparently men cant live with out it??? Whatevah.....SATC isnt on anymore so I dont need HBO!

I used to get things from Disney Destinations all the time too but it's been awhile....until today . But this is the very first pin code I've ever received.......I'm just bummed I can't use it . But we are getting a great deal using the 4/3 in June........so I can't complain too much I guess . I'm just happy to be staying at the GF for the first time as well as saving a boat load of money .

It has been in the mid to upper 30s here the last couple of day and the snow has started to melt . But tomorrow it's supposed to go back to being VERY COLD as in a high of 13 degrees ...and then Sunday around 11 degrees . The next 56 days can't go by fast enough .



Kristin.....Too cute about your DS and what he said about the cake . You are quite the baker so I'm sure it will turn out great .

Maxie We used to make just a few ADRs also and play the rest by ear...but I have found that kind of hard to do more recently...I dont know if its due to the DDP or free dining but its hard to get walk up reservations maybe with our family size also...not sure...

Now I put together an itinerary for the week and make ADRs accordingly...

Narcooses is a great place to eat...always one of our best meals...exept I know Channing and someone else (sorry not sure who else...)had a stomach problem after the pear salad...so stay away from that....

I havent eaten at Citricos in a while but am planning on it for our next trip...I'm not a V&A gal either....

When we stay CL we usually dont make too many breafast plans...I find the CL breakfast offering to be fine....and who can get the kids up in time for breakfast anyway!!!

Deb I'm with you I want the rest of the winter to fly too...and I think that the 4/3 deal is a really good one....(a bargain!!! )like I keep saying just wait till you stay at the GF...there will be no turning back...

Channing - I keep having this vision of your gals "borrowing" one of those long golf carts and riding it around the GF or "borrowing" the horse and carriage, but then fighting over who gets to seat in it first. Please take lots of pictures - I'm sure something is going to happen, Lisa.

OH my GAWD!!!! You just gave me an idea!!!!!!

Since Fantasmic is not a "Must See" for us, we go to Yachtsman after spending the day at DHS. Then we walk or boat to EPCOT and monorail back to the GF. It usually works well, but that is a LONG meal (2 hour minimum) so make your ADR accordingly so you can still get into EPCOT before it closes.

For the virus scared, don't worry about clicking on my link (I know it was from Fox News, so that was probably scary enough for ya!! ). Just make sure you do a Window's Update to make sure you have their latest security "stuff" If your computer won't allow you to update (meaning, the update screen won't even load, than you already have it)

I ran my errands, cleaned my whole house, so I am off to enjoy my book for a few hours until DS comes home.

55 days until spring.

BlueSkies, I think it is definately the DP that has made it almost impossible to do a walk up. It has also messed with the menu's. A lot of the more expensive things have been taken off the menus, and they have been getting more alike. The biggest reason we have never eaten at Narcoosees is that it is a seafood restaurant and we eat in them all of the time at home. Sorry Chan, I love seafood, and the Poly. So anyway we didn't see the need to over pay for seafood, but I think we will give it a try this year.

The GF better lock up it's golf carts, and warn the other guests. I now have this image of the GF gals having races around the GF in golf carts.

Not too much going on here today. DH and DS went snowmobiling so it's pretty quiet here .


BlueDeb......I think you're right about the GF.....I think once we stay there in June we won't want to stay anywhere else .

This awful cold weather is wreaking havoc on my hands so I was off to the nail salon for a nice manicure...

Good thing spring is only 55 days away!!!

Maxie I heard that too about the menus changing...not happy about that... I can see your point about the seafood...but Narcoosees has lots of good food I had a chicken dish that was delicious...I know you'll enjoy it and it has a great atmosphere...

Well I need to get some done...whats new...its always waiting..

February Gals NO golf cart drag racing allowed at the GF.... or they'll be sending you to the Poly for sure....

I actually went to Walmart this morning. I hate Walmart and very rarely go in there. You could get yourself killed just in the parking lot. Lots of crazy peeps riding around lookiing for parking spaces. We made it out alive anyway.

BlueSkies good for you for getting a manicure. Sometimes we just need a little pampering. IKWYM about your hands in the winter. I am a dental assistant and I wash my hands a hundred times a day and wear gloves all day. My hands are dry, cracked and my nails are a mess. Not much you can do this time of year. Nothing that a week or so at the GF won't cure though.
Now I am off to the mall to walk.

jo is feeling better....she is lying on the sofa like a lump...she ate toast and is working on ice chips. Thanks guys.

Maxie..our Walmart is like that too!!! IT IS CRAZY!!! And peeps are also willing to sit in their cars and just wait for like 10 minutes for people to load up and back out of their space....the parking lot is HUGE too. LOL I Love your pink tag line!!!

I am hoping it was too much movie junk....popcorn, pink lemonade and m&ms...I walked outa there feeling icky. I was so bored....I slept....and I snacked.....Lucy read the book "Ink Heart" and LOVED it...but the movie was painful. PAIN FUL! Although...she & her friends liked it. Jojo saw "Hotel for Dogs" with Lucy's friend's little sister and dad. They enjoyed that one.
