Ok Deb- Geez LOL. The tree is gone, and the spring counter is up. I won't mention the fact that the official date for spring in Maine has not a damn thing to do with when the weather improves...that will just depress me. At least I can pretend.

It's like that here in Chicago too . Last March when we went to Orlando for spring break, we came back to a mess of weather....and it was at the tail end of March . From the time we got in the limo at the airport to the time we got home, we had rain.....which turned to sleet.....which turned to snow (as in a BLIZZARD )........which resulted in about 5-6 inches of snow and VERY ICEY roads by the time it was said and done . I think our winters get worse every year . I'm about ready to call it quits and move south .

It's a winter wonderland here. It's fine...I am not flying out anywhere today. I am thinking I should put that Swan room on hold on the 4th....just in case...I have a 6 day cancellation on it...maybe I should. I am worried......

Kristin...Sorry the code dates dont work for your June trip(the 4/3 package is actually like a 43% discount though)...but I know that you did like Pop at your last visit and I'm sure you'll like it again...WTG for the December dates...are you going at the beginning or the end???

I was just checking the dates out from the email I got!!! Oh yeah!!! I got one too....

I need a little time to think about what dates will work for everyone... probably just a long weekend because of everyones school schedules...

I am still hopeful for a good AP rate for June that equals the 4/3 discount. There's an extra $138 tacked onto the price for the 1 day tickets we don't need (and for a trip that is only $1200 to begin with, that is money I rather spend on food!!!) Pop is OK since we don't spend much time there, but I really hope we can get a lakeside room again (it's so quiet there!) We were in the 80's section for our 1 night in December and that flet so far away and almost a little creepy that I rather be around people, ya know??

As for December, we fly down 11/28 (my bday ) and fly home 12/6. DH misses his company Christmas party again, but for 40% off he said he didn't care! He is THRILLED that we got that kind of discount at the GF again

How's the weather where everyone is at??? It's snowing here and I think we're supposed to get a pretty good accumulation between today and the end of the weekend . The temps are supposed to drop and be a whopping high of only FIVE DEGREES Monday . And to think it's just starting......we have atleast 2 more months of this nasty stuff .

We have about 2 inches down put it is tapering off. I think more is supposed to come later. At least it isn't heart attack snow It is light, fluffy snow. I will go snowblow in a little while so it's not so much later in the day when round 2 blows in...

BTW - Mare, they don't care how many people you have in the cabana. I never had a problem and offer to rent two and they said it wasn't necessary. I have had from 4 to 6 to 11. Nobody cared, everyone was never in it together anyway!!

I just wasn't sure about the limit, that's good to know! Did you hear the wonderful news that you can now book all your cabana days at once!! I'm so happy for you!!!

We're expecting 3-6 inches here starting tomorrow morning. Marvel must be thrilled! DH wants to go to the country this weekend where they're getting up to 12 inches! Should be fun there, the boys can go tubing (there's a ski area in the community) while I read my Disney books I just bought. I'm such a Disney Dork! I had a gift card for B&N and bought the set of Imagineering Field Guides for each park I love Disney tidbits and trivia

My living room, dining room and kitchen are "company clean" Just need to do the bedrooms and bathrooms I even hung new curtains in the living room this morning. Off to go fold three load of laundry I thru in this morning. Kelly is motivating me!

Hello, I have been reading this board for a while. My new years resolution was to jump in and start posting. From reading everyones posts we stayed RPC last October and loved it. We are leaving Sunday and staying RPC again. Hopefully the snow we are expecting in New Jersey tomorrow will not affect our Sunday am flight. We were lucky on Monday and received an email with the 40% pincode and were able to save on our trip. That meant we had to book another trip to RPC end of Sept with the pincode.

Deb: 5 degrees! That sounds awful! It rarely gets quite that cold here, but occassionally we will hit it. I hope we never live up north, I hate winter. I wonder if I can find a job in Hawaii when I graduate LOL (might be too far from WDW, though).


Mandy: Yeah for FL! My dad was angry (he likes the Big 12) and called me to tell me so, as if I had something to do with OK losing . I don't even watch football! He seems to think that if I did the outcome of the game would have been different, LOL

I guess I am going to have to get the Twilight series to read too. I need something to take on our trip that isn't psychology articles, which I am soooo incredibly sick of wading through.

Alright, I NEED to get some studying done! I have so many papers to write. If I am on here at all the rest of the day then I am NOT doing what I am supposed to!

I informed the cabana people about my increase while I was there. I didn't know what day friends were visiting or if they were differently coming. The people on the phone are totally different then the actual cabana people. The cabana people know that your going to take very good care of them if they take care of you.

I almost forgot!!! My brother and his wife got the 40% pin yesterday so they called to tell me how excited they were (they were going to book with the 4/3 for May) Now they get to go for their anniversary the last week of Sept/early October, which is also F&W time, their favorite time to go.

Anyway, so they start asking me about AKL (since they stayed POFQ last time) and I reminded them that this was 40% off and they should stay at the YC or BWI like they really want.... so we chat about the hotels, the buses etc. and then I mention what my room rate was at the GF for December.

Guess what? They booked the GF too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for them!!!!!

Our next already planned trip is the end of Sept. We booked that with bounceback when we were there early Dec. If I or one of my sisters gets the code, I will maybe book another (spring) trip with that...

GRRRRRR!! CRT is closing early the whole week we are there in June I really wanted to go our first night, but the latest they had was 4:25pm. So I took it for later in the week, but still could only get it for 5:20. (5:45 was the latest all week and there were no dates with a time that late)

I didn't even realize that they were booking CRT and CM until I saw the ADR sticky. I did get Chef Mickey's for breakfast when I wanted (I decided not to go there for his birthday dinner- we are going to T-Rex instead!)

Kristin......That's great about your brother and SIL . My brother, sister and parents are going with us in June and we're all staying at the GF . None of them have ever stayed on Disney property before so it will for sure be a treat for them . And what a way to start out on Disney property.....at the GF ......they won't be trying any other resort should any of them go back in the future .


Amy......Ya, 5 degrees is a little cold . I like your Hawaii thinking though . I wonder how that Disney resort will do in Hawaii . I read a post or 2 awhile back that said where Disney is building isn't such a good area . Not sure how true that is but I wouldn't think Disney would build in an undesirable area .

Annette, that's so true! Because I was alone for several hours with two little kids, my cabana gal (Amanda) was overly attentive. The four cabanas were not full, it was just me and then another family (with older kids) there for the 1/2 day. So she had the time to spend with us. I *think* DH tipped when we arrived then again after the full day. He was concerned that I might need an extra hand come potty breaks or something. We were fine and Amanda was just fantastic. She even offered to lay down some foam mats in the cabana for DS1 to play on! That impressed me!! DH is looking forward to enjoying the cabana with us this trip. He missed out too busy driving a race car!

Amy: Make sure to grab a book or two for your cruise. I've read so many books just laying in the sun on cruises! Are you doing the 3 or 4 night cruise? I highly recommend the couples massage on Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay - it was amazing!

Yup- same time! I wanted CRT for 6/9 but not at 4:25!! I took it on 6/13 at 5:20 (latest time I could get all week). That day was a toss up for us as for parks (I am thinking MAYBE DHS for Star Wars Weekend) but I know UG called MK its best park.

We were going to do Chef Mickey's twice too (breakfast and dinner) but now that I am dropping the DxDDP and going with DDE, and I don't have to be a slave to using all my credits, I decided to skip the dinner and stick with breakfast. We hate dinner buffets!! I just picked Chef Mickey since I thought it would be fun for a bday, but he really loved TRex in December so I know he will have more fun then. Now I need to figure out what to do about birthday cake I am going to let him get the EXTINCTION!!! at TRex (like RFC's Volcano) but I want a "real" cake too- preferably the Mickey head cake. I might see if Coral Reef can do it the night before his bday...

I guess this means I am over my post trip funk and ready to jump head first into planning the next one!!
