Thanks everyone for the feed back on where to have a nice steak dinner:) We love Kona...never had steak there..love those pot stickers though....

Siobhan I think I'm going to add the Wave to my growing list...havent tried it and I love to eat at monorail resorts...I'm all about convenience on vacation...

As for Boma...too far...dont like the travel options...:rotfl:

If I'm not dining in one of the parks I want to get to where I'm eating by monorail or boat....:snooty:

We had our closets redone too...lots of nice shelves and cubbies...mine looks great...easy to find things...DSs:scared: is all I can say....

Speaking of closets...they should do something like that at the resorts...would love it if there were some extra shelves and some cubbies..there is definately not enough drawer space for a family of five....

If you want a steak dinner yachtsmen beats them all by ALOT.
LeCellier has become a fad place where peeps just feel they need to eat. It isnt that good.
Kona is good but they got rid of the Filet, many of the 1 table services are have dumped it.
Yachtsmen is the best.

Hi ladies!

Mandy's pillowcase plan made my linen closet from a comic book disaster waiting to happen into an easy to navigate storage space. Much better! Thank to Mandy!

Deb- Kona got rid of that awesome filet :sad1: I could cry!!! But I still love Kona!

Chan- It's been a weird day...that is an understatement!!!!

Siobhan- I am glad to hear a good Wave experience, when it first opened it got bashed so bad, unfortunate, because the menu looks good.

Ok off for now- rough one here. I'll tell ya tomorrow.

:grouphug: hugs across the miles for the crappy weirdorama donkey kicking tail day. I have a nasty head ache.

Chan:guilty:

Mare......I'm not too adventurous when it comes to trying "different" foods so I really didn't try anything out of the ordinary . But the regular foods like the prime rib, BBQ ribs (I didn't taste cinnamon :confused3), and things like that I thought were normal :rolleyes1. The AKL is beautiful but I do agree it is out away from everything. It was nice to walk around and check out the resort and look at the animals, although it's not a resort we have any desire to stay at .

Shel....I heard they were taking the filet off the menu at Kona . Do they still have prime rib :confused3? If the prime rib is gone I may have to rethink that one too as my guys LOVE their prime rib and filet....and Kona was one of the best for those 2 cuts of meat :thumbsup2. I can't believe how Disney is messing with a good thing with some of these restaurants  :headache:.

Sorry to all you gals having not-so-good days :grouphug:. Tomorrow is another day........I hope things get better :flower3:.

Deb :)

72 days until spring.

It snowed about an inch last night then turned to freezing rain. It was slippery early this morning, but then turned to all rain and it poured. Not gonna be fun when this freezes.

BlueSkies: I have a Pro Form from Sears. I like it a lot. It wasn't very expensive, probably in the $250 range on sale. I bought it several years ago so I don't really remember. It's not a fancy expensive one, but it does the job. The most important thing is that is has a bigger seat than a lot of them. :rotfl2: My old one had a small very uncomfortable seat. I burn a lot more calories on the bike that on the treadmill.

Channing Oh no! I think you caught my awful headache....:headache: mine lasted for almost 3 days!!! I hope that you are feeling better :goodvibes

Kelly We have not eaten at Yachtsmen Steakhouse...we are a steak loving family!!!(try not to make it too much at home but we dont have to eat healthy on vacation...) My DH and DSs really enjoy it...with a good old baked potato and lets not forget that creamed spinach...Channing your spinach and dessert review clinched it...One more restaurant to add to the ever growing list....

We're going to have to add some lunch reservations just to go to all the places we want to!!!

We always liked the Concourse...I was sorry to see it close...

Maxie Thanks for the info:thumbsup2 ...I'll be checking out the bikes at Sears this weekend...I'm sick of the whole treadmill thing maybe the bike will motivate me.....I'll be sure to look for a comfy seat too...:rotfl: 72 days...!!spring cant get here soon enough...

Deb I hate it when the restaurants go changing the menus!! I usually have a favorite thing at our repeat restaurants that I want to have every time we go there....this happened at the Plaza restaurant last trip...not only was our food not up to par they got rid of their delicious butter pecan ice cream and replaced it with sugar free butter pecan...WTH!!!:headache:

It I'm having a sundae with whipped cream and chocolate syrup...I DONT want sugar free ice cream...which tastes gross BTW!!:rotfl:

Ok ice cream rant over....

Hey Disney quit changing the menus around....:upsidedow please...

Channing Oh no! I think you caught my awful headache....:headache: mine lasted for almost 3 days!!! I hope that you are feeling better :goodvibes

THanks...yep I remember you had it for a while....It is nasty....thanks I hope I feel better.

OH it's yummy! You have to try it. It's soo much better than Le Cellier. Oh..the bananas foster was a martini!!! I don't think I ever could fit dessert in at YSH...although for the kids they used to have an adorable white chocolate puzzle and cupcake plate that they could paint and decorate. Not sure if that's still around.....YES>..what is it with the crummy menu changes....it's WRONG!!!:goodvibes

We're going to have to add some lunch reservations just to go to all the places we want to!!!

I know...when we were going over our Feb plans we were thinking we were going to have to add on days to teh trip so we could eat all the places we want to!!

Good luck bike shopping.:) I miss my daily walks...it's so cold and icy out though.

Channing

Oh, DF will be upset that they got rid of the Filet at Kona. I'll have to see if he still wants to go! I like some other things there, but he only eats steak pretty much when we are on vacation. Maybe we should try the wave or Yatchsman.

I just tried a bike at the gym last night. It burned more calories than the stupid stair stepper does in the same time period and wasn't near as much work. It was way better than the treadmill for that too. I run 2 miles on the treadmill everytime and only burn about 200 calories

Oh Amy still go!!! They have a teriyaki strip steak with yukon gold mashed potatoes and brocolini that is OMG...TDF! I love it and wish I could have it now!!! :cloud9:

I went to Le Cellier on my 30th birthday...Both my DH and I walked out asking what the big hype was...:rotfl: I should have asked for the sauce on the side...I think that we have soo many good steak houses around us that we were sadly disappointed! I think they are always so crowded because 1. the restaurant is so small compared to others and 2. it was said before but it is the only 1 TS meal that is a steak house...In December we walked up at opening and asked for a ADR any time and she said no and then I asked for the rest of our trip and without even looking she said no! I was like but you didnt look and she told me they were booked for the rest of the year but to call the dining line from the room. Well you just told me there was nothing so why would I call the line if you didnt even look for me. Right I said and walked away...It made me soo fuming mad! That was also the same day that later on my DD had a temper tantrum in China and we were done for the day! :rotfl: Stupid Le Cellier.....

I do like Yachtsman but dont love it! I have to blame poor service on this restaurant...We have never had a good server and I blame Tables of Wonder on that! :rotfl: When you sit down they ask if you are on meal plan and I always responded DDE and then they know they are getting a tip automatically...Chan has said she doesnt always get charged the automatic gratuity but I always have! :confused3 MY DH asked for cappacino for dessert last time and she said they didnt have it but she would get it for him from the Captains Galley...Well it came and it was ice cold. He, who never would say boo to a waitperson if unhappy, told the waitress and she apologized and took it away. Well I am sure that you can call it, it was still on the bill! :headache: Whatever...There are so many other wonderful placed that I love that make up for crappy times but dont even get me started on Cape May Cafe for dinner!!! :rotfl: They call that a clam bake???

Sorry for the novel...can you tell I am bored...where is everyone???

Sibohan: That's good to know! As long as there is some kind of steak, DF will be happy :goodvibes:

Were going to get the DDE for the first time this trip, so I will be interested to see how many times the tip is already added in

siobhan...yes...it was very irregular if the tip was added in or not on the DDE:confused: ....yeah crappy service can make or break the experience....bummer about yachtsman. We have been lucky there. DH had that steak at kona....I think Z had it too..they loved it.:goodvibes

ya,..what's the biggie about Le Cellier? :confused3 I don't get it at all.:sad2: I think it's just because EVERYbODY and their sister's cousin's aunt's brother's step dad wants to eat there:rotfl: ....and it's like elite if you get in.:rolleyes1 Like some special club... But it's not all that IMO. I have seen the lady at the podium at LC give that same garbage to people when they ask for a walk up. I was gaping....NO checking...NO nothing and they say they are booked fully 6 months in advance...like laa dee daa aren't we special....it's all a facade. If they keep saying that it makes peeps FEEL THE NEED to be there. :rotfl:

I think all the WDW food has tanked. They are way cutting corners and it totally shows. They're just pushing it to see how far they can go. :sad2: (oh boy I sound happy happy joy joy tonight:rotfl: )

ok..i have to get something done here. :headache:

TTYL....

Amy Just read through your whole PJ...how exciting!!! Your plans sound great. You are so creative...love your invitations, programs, favor boxes...everything...it is all so beautiful!!! It is very obvious that you have spent much time with all of your planning. I hope your day is perfect!!!

I have missed chatting with you all this week...it has been a CRAZY week!!! Thursdays are my day off and I'm looking so forward to catching up with everyone.

Good Morning everyone!
I am waiting for the bus to come and take Shawn to school.
Anty is already up today and wants to play Wii. I was like you can wait a bit.

Good Morning Gals...

Kelly its 7:30 and I have already started the:laundy: ...bet you are probably on your second load already...I'm trying...:)

Mandy I ALWAYS have laundry waiting to be folded...if I do 2 or 3 loads in a day...too much folding for one 24 hour period...:rotfl:

One of the things I love about vacation...no laundry...I refuse to do it....pack enough or buy what you are out of...;)

Siobhan I love Kona too...think its a nice place to eat...something for everyone...BTW that meal sounds delicious...making me hungry so early in the morning...which is not good since I am dieting:laughing:

Amy I'm for anything that will burn more calories in less time!! Maxie said the same thing as you did too!! Buying a bike is on my weekend to do list...:thumbsup2

Channing I read somewhere about some things being taken off the general menus(the more expensive meals...) because of free dining...:confused3 Hope that is not true...and besides like I said I dont like change...gimme my same old favorites....

Lcae Thrusday is usually my catch up day too...try to stay in and do the in the house stuff...I always end up chatting away though...:)

Hi to everyone else....ttyl...:upsidedow

Morning All :surfweb:

I've got a sick one home today . DS13 was up at 1:30, 3:30, & 4:30 last night throwing up  . He said he's feeling a little better so hopefully it's not going to turn into a full blown stomach flu thing :sad2:. I'll give him some toast when he wakes up and maybe that will help . All this talk about exercising makes me wonder if I should start :rotfl: :rotfl:. I used to have an Elliptical machine which I really liked (when I used it ) but I found it collected more dust than was used :rotfl2:. I better join all of you exercise enthusiasts as June will be here before I know it and I won't be ready :rotfl:.

Amy......Your day is getting so very close :bride: :groom:. Only 14 days or so, right :confused3??? HOW EXCITING :cool1: :cool1:. I read your planning journal awhile back but I looked at this morning and I just love those boxes you made.....they are so adorable :). I could never do anything like that as I am NOT creative by any stretch of the imagination :rotfl:. You are going to have a fabulous day....I'm so excited for you :yay:.

BlueSKies......No laundry here yet but I do need to get something accomplished today with having to be home with DS .

Feb Gals........You are under the 30 day mark......only 28 days until you're at the GF RPC :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:.

Hi to everybody else :wave2:.

Deb :goodvibes

Good Morning!!!

Oh Deb I am sorry to hear that about your DS! Yucko! I hear ya about the exercising thing...Thing is that I used to be a gym rat! :rotfl: Sometimes I would go twice a day!!! The thought of that...:rotfl: And I had kids! I just have no umph to go...I did get the Wii Fit and I am in love but not like the gym! I would kill myself and felt great! How sad that I said months and months ago that I was going back but never have! I still pay the membership every month! :confused3

I love Thursdays, too!!! :goodvibes

I am on my second load of laundry.
Dishes are done and Anty is playing some Wii.
I am on hold for Private dining at the GF, I tried to call Linda but kept getting her voicemail.

Hey Lcae....Been to the Rack??? I heard it is good but a ton of jeans?? I am still looking to go! When I go we can meet up!
