Hey gals!

My "Blah" has turned into a full blown head cold I swear when I move it, it rattles!!! DS has it too, but not as bad. We leave in 17 days so it better get out of here QUICK and not return. I have "cut off" DH until it is and he is NOT happy!!! (Can I even say that here??? Darn cold meds are making me loopy!!!)

I am LMAO about the BTTBC- even me, the blonde one knows this!!! As for the "tent" talk- I have NO CLUE!!!

I addressed all my Christmas cards today while I watched White Christmas How I LOVE that movie!! All that is left is to wrap presents, but I am saving that for next week. I picked up some more wrapping paper etc. today, so I think I am set.

Kristin.....Sorry DS is sick and that your "blah" turned into a nasty head cold . Just think that if it had to happen that it's good it happens now instead of when you're at Disney . You are really on the ball with this Christmas stuff . The thought of Christmas cards crossed my mind but I haven't done any yet......maybe next week right before Thanksgiving so I can get them mailed out early . I did get out my Christmas Eve scented Yankee candle.....I love that scent ......so that's kind of getting me into the Christmas mood .


BlueSKies......It's not snowing anymore but it is COLD . DH and DS just left on their snowmobiles (crazies ) and I'm here turning up the heat . I can't stand the cold .


Marvel.......If there was any way for me to package up this nasty weather and ship it to NY......I'd do it in a heartbeat . We're supposed to get another 4-5 inches Thursday night into Friday.....NOT looking forward to that .

Im holding in my hand an advertisement i got in the mail for White Christmas the musical......whitechristmasmusical.com ......playing on broadway from this friday until the new year.

I'd like to see it but i hate going into manhatten....

Let me tell you a secret about NY weather in the winter....at least in my borough...
its always below freezing UNTIL the wet weather heads our way and then the temperature gets above freezing ...so all we get is rain and then when the rain stops the temps go back down to freezing...
I promise this will happen again this year.

Since I hate going into the City as well (Chicago in my case) I would TOTALLY make an exception for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, I am a traditionalist and love Bing and Danny, but that would be fun!!!

(Slightly OT, has anyone ever picked up on that line in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, where Clark comments that this is going to be the "Happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny Kaye!!!" That is another one of my all time Christmas favs!!! A Christmas Story too!!!)

We could get some ocean effect snow tonight. The cape could get a couple of inches and we may get some. I live on the coast which usually keeps the snow totals down, unless it is coming in off the ocean. I'm really going to have to find my gloves tonight. Like Marvel, I used to be disappointed when we didn't get any snow and everyone around us got it. Now I'm glad. Did I mention that I hate winter.

Have any of you ever tried to order something at the Grand Floridian Cafe that is not on the menu, or that they usually don't serve at their restaurant? I want my dad try Tonga Toast, I may ask at the podium and if they say no, then we will go over to Kona one of our mornings. I didn't know if anyone has every had any luck with something like this. Evening All


Kristin......I LOVE National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation . It still cracks me up every time I watch it even after seeing it a gazillion times . My DH is in construction too . He's not road construction but commercial building construction . Our subdivision is FULL of guys in the construction field.....from surveyers to electricians to plumbers etc.....which I think is kind of neat .


M&P......You must really like snow......I'd give anything for it to disappear and get warm again . I've lost count of the number of days until spring but I know it's somewhere around 100-something, give or take.....and it can't come too soon for me .


Dawn.....I hear ya about our goofy seasons . We never did have a fall......went straight to COLD . And now there's SNOW .


Maxie......Hope you get just a little, if any, snow your way . I wish ours would disappear .

K- You are way to freakin organized. Why don't you bring your little Martha self down here and help me finish my MESS of Xmas stuff. I did good in the beginning but I know have 1/2 my garland hanging off my stairway, boxes still everywhere and no lights outside yet. Now I know why I wanted to be gone this Christmas! But please do not stop in telling us how organized you are because at least it keeps me motivated!

Life is stressful so I am grumpy! Good news is some of my custom outfits are shipping out today! and I think my trip is 34 days away. (and if all goes well I will be on that plane.)

Oh I have a tanning story for you. Decide that I have very little time to tan so I am going to try some of those Ultra Bronze beds where you tan 3 times a month and that is it. So $270 later I have 9 sessions. (way pricey for me) and they give me two little things of lotion for the firs two sessions. I go on Monday for my third session and they tell me I now have to buy lotion or I cannot tan. I tell them to give me whatever they have that does not stink. They hand me this bottle and the lady then says that will be $170.00 . I was too embarassed to say I did not want it so I wrote a check. WOW do I feel terrible about that. I feel like taking it back tonight and telling them that I broke out in a rash or something. Is that bad? What a rip off!
