We are in St. Louis for my daughters first ever cheer competition. She is in the "tiny" division and they are the only squad here in her division. Its good practice and they will win a trophy no matter LOL!!

Okay I have an RPC question...what floor are the snackies on - I though it was the 4th....does anyone know how many castle views there are available (room wise)??

I can't answer your question about RPC since I haven't even stayed at the GF yet....let alone RPC ......but I was just wondering if you decided to keep your May ressie ? That 4/3 deal is too good to pass up!!!! After this great deal, I'm already hoping for some sort of deal for December '09 . Hopefully they'll do something just as good .

Traci....the lounge IS on 4th floor...the concierge CMs are on 3rd. There are 18 perfect castle view rooms. Nine on 3rd and nine on 4th.

Hi, Deb! Having a good Saturday? We shopped and shopped......and it got dark so fast....now I am yawning big time from having no sleep last night....I was so darn afraid I'd over sleep I woke up so much all night long.

Evening..... I am pooped! We cleaned out our garage and really cleaned it up and last night we cleaned up our storage room. We put a huge pile if junk out by the road and took 47 cans of paint to the dump that the previous owner left..... we have been here 7 years and I have been asking dh to get rid of it all and wouldn't you know it, as soon as the nagging ended and I gave up he decided to do it...... Oh well, I got a potting bench now and already potted some plants! It felt good to play with dirt today!

Anyways we got our Christmas tree down because DH told me he thinks he broke it last year while taking it apart..... It was pre lit and sure enough he broke the wire that connect the 3 pieces when he took them apart So now I have to decide to keep it and just put lights on it or buy a new one. I did see a tall skinny one that I kinda liked but not being able to actually put gifts UNDER the tree makes it seem less magical In this small house a fat tree takes up a lot of space and if we are going to be selling then we have to not make it look smaller with a fat tree

The best news of the day is the property next to us is fro sale and it is 1 1/4 acre and has two small houses on it. One is condemned becasue of damages from the hurricane but the other is fine...... Price = dirt cheap, like too good to be true, is that a typo, cheap! Decisions, Decisions! DH likes the idea of playing real life monopoly, LOL! I like the idea of staying here and owning almost two acres with a income property and adding a second story!

Off to fold laundry and watch football!

Just popping in to say Hello Its been a busy and difficult week here...My aunt passed away suddenly and we have spent the last several days with family...the viewing the funeral etc ...its was so very sad...and exhausting too...needed a little Dis to cheer me up...

Anyway lots of pages to catch up on... and I never seem to catch up completely..

Hey, Chan . My Saturday was good......thanks for asking . DH and DS13 went hunting this morning and DS got to ride in a combine . DH went to see a guy he knows about getting permission to hunt his fields and they were cutting corn......so the guy told his son to take DS for a ride in the combine......DS thought that was the coolest thing . DH took 2 pics with his cell phone so I could see.....it was pretty cool . So while they were riding a combine I was home doing and DS15 was at friends house....so it was nice and quiet around here . But it was also VERY COLD . I think winter is finally here and our 70 degree days are gone until next year .


Did you go Christmas shopping today or just shopping ? My big shopping day is coming up the day after Thanksgiving when we go up to Woodfield.......it's not usually too bad year to year.....so hopefully crowds won't be unbearable this year either . The getting dark so early is HORRIBLE for me......I can't stand it getting dark at 4:30-5:00 .


Here's a little pixie dust for tomorrow ....but I'm sure you'll get the Grand 1 booked with no problems .


Traci ~ How did your daughter do at the cheer competition??? How cute that must have been seeing her along with all the other little girls cheering .


Mandy ~ Sounds like you've been busy with all your cleaning . Good luck with selling your house and getting the house next door . We live on just over an acre and I love it!!!! Things are getting so built up where we're at.....but it still has that country feel.....but not too country where there's nothing around......just enough out for the country quietness but also convenient to the mall, grocery store, etc....I wouldn't give it up for anything .

Deb...no..not Christmas shopping! Although the stores were packed!! It felt like a Christmas shopping crowd!!! We just ran around on errands. Just the usual stuff. YES! We were walking from our car to a store and it was 3:30 and gray and dim out. It makes me yawn. AND Bbbbbbbrrrrrrrr it was COLD today. Time to get out the mittens and gloves. BUMMER!!! That sounds like your family had a nice day. I remember when Green Giant used to rent out the farm property near us and my grandpa's...they'd come in with their huge equipment and get it all done FAST. Those combines were HUGE. Very neat to get to ride in one.

OK..thanks for all the pixie dust and sweet thoughts that i get that boat tomorrow morning. Kelly and I are going to both call and GET THAT YACHT. I HATE getting up early and look forward to sleeping in on the weekends .....this weekend was shot! I am going to be on the phone hitting redial at 5:50 am. DETERMINED......

We are nervous because Kel, Siobhan AND I called in RIGHT AWAY...we were hitting redial at 554...and we were all together on this...all three of us were told BOOKED.

I am PRAYING that GF IPO got this for us. When I talked to them yesterday they said they would try.....but that yacht was NOT in the system again today....so something is very hinky IMO.

We have to wait until after 8 EST..when their office opens. I already emailed them....no reply yet. *where's the nail biting smiley when ya need it?*

It is down right COLD here. The tree is up and the lights are 1/2 on. It takes soo long to decorate when you have 2 little needy children under your feet all day!

Mandy~ I would go out and get a new pre-lit tree. This stringing lights is a big pain! Jeffrey Allens is having a huge sale this weekend if you have one near you and they seem to have nice trees.

Dh came in late last night and somehow our Christmas trip was brought up. He said he is going to have a very hard time going if his parents do not go. I was almost in tears and said that our immediate family is important also and I have worked my tail off the last 10 years having a huge Christmas dinner for all his family and extended family and I am tired of doing it. I told him to please give this a chance. I promised I would try to make it as much like home as possible. I then threw in the fact that I have spent every holiday with his family and never with mine. My dad ended up passing away and instead of me spending all that time with my dad I was worried about doing everything for his family. It got pretty ugly for awhile! I really wish I would have kept that room in RPC. I know it was a lot of money but I wanted to make this the most special trip ever. I hope it still is and I am sure GV will be fine.

Channing and Dawn~ Get your gloves out. It is super cold here. I got up two times last night and ate those little candy bars for a some comfort food. Winter always means those extra pounds!

Vanessa...omg..i am sorry.... Wow..he is really on the fence about this Disney Xmas. That is tough.....I really needed a break that year we did it, too.....you NEED this for yourself. It will be wonderful. It's something different, takes the load off YOU, and you sound like you NEED this change. You all will have a wonderful time. The arrangements you've made are fabulous. He's just having second thoughts...it will pass. Hang in there. I am sorry he's feeling this way now.

I'm sorry to hear your DH is having second thoughts about your trip . I know you've looking forward to this trip and are so excited. Plus it sounds like you guys really need this get away as hard as your DH has been working......and what better time for Disney than at Christmas . Have your inlaws said anymore about going or not going ? I hope they really think about it and decide to go because spending Christmas in Disney would be great for your family.....wonderful memories can be made . Good luck V......I'll keep my fingers crossed your inlaws decide to go or your DH rethinks going even if his parents don't .

Me, too . DH and DS got up at 4:00 to go hunting (I just hear them.....I DON'T get up )......but then I woke up around 7:00 and the first thing that popped into my head was "I WONDER IF CHAN GOT THE YACHT??????" and figured I'd better get up and go see . So I got up, took the dog out, turned the computer on while my coffee was brewing and came back to find out that.....yep.....she sure did .

Thanks guys! No matter what we are going because we have paid for the package and he knows I will go without him. I think he is just worried about leaving his parents. He is a real family guy and has a lot of love and respect for his parents and feels a little guilty. I think it will pass. We are going to St. Louis for Thanksgiving for 5 days with his parents and his sister so we will get to spend plenty of time together. I just feel pressure to make this trip perfect so he has a good time and does not feel like he wished he were at home. I have to admit that I am a little nervous about not waking up at home on Christmas morning but when I think back I know how much work it all is and how exhausted I am the entire day!

Deb- I think theirr decision will be VERY last minute. My MIL just keeps saying we will see how FIL feels at that time. He is 82 and is in good shape but they are driving and that is a LONG drive. We shall see. My SIL is driving them down. My nephew (who is in college) is also going. He is grandpa's favorite grandchild so if he tells grandpa to get in the car...hopefully it will happen!
