Thanks guys! No matter what we are going because we have paid for the package and he knows I will go without him. I think he is just worried about leaving his parents. He is a real family guy and has a lot of love and respect for his parents and feels a little guilty. I think it will pass. We are going to St. Louis for Thanksgiving for 5 days with his parents and his sister so we will get to spend plenty of time together. I just feel pressure to make this trip perfect so he has a good time and does not feel like he wished he were at home. I have to admit that I am a little nervous about not waking up at home on Christmas morning but when I think back I know how much work it all is and how exhausted I am the entire day!

Deb- I think theirr decision will be VERY last minute. My MIL just keeps saying we will see how FIL feels at that time. He is 82 and is in good shape but they are driving and that is a LONG drive. We shall see. My SIL is driving them down. My nephew (who is in college) is also going. He is grandpa's favorite grandchild so if he tells grandpa to get in the car...hopefully it will happen!

Hope everything works out for you. Grandchildren do have a way of getting their grandparents to do things they don't want to do.:rotfl2: I am sure they will have a great time once they get there. It is just the getting them there, I know.:lmao: DH's elderly aunt said she is not coming for Thanksgiving, which means she probably wont' come for Christmas either. I refuse to feel guilty about it and will just send food over to her house.

THEY EMAILED ME!!! WE GOT THE YACHT!!!!!:cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I think this calls for one of those dorky over excited bananas!!!! (or maybe a group!!!!!)

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I can somewhat understand your DH's concern.......I would LOVE to spend Christmas at Disney but the thing that's keeping me from doing that is my parents. I can't get them to vacation actually over Christmas Day.....and I know my dad would be devastated if we didn't spend Christmas together as a family :sad2:. My sister wanted to have Christmas last year but my dad told my mom that he would rather all of us kids go to their house......he just likes to be at his house with all his kids, sons-in-laws, and grandkids......that's how he sees Christmas :santa:. And we all live local......so it's not like he'd have to travel overnight somewhere . I guess he just likes things to be like they've been for years without changing it.....and being away from home just wouldn't be Christmas to him I guess :rolleyes1. Maybe your nephew will have some pull since he is grandpa's favorite :thumbsup2. I'm sure it will all work out and you will have a magical Christmas at Disney :wizard:.

Deb Snow:scared1: :scared1: We have another mild day today, but I know the cold weather is coming back. 131 days until spring.

YAY for spring in just 131 days :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:. But I guess we have to get through nasty winter first :headache:.

DS just got up and I have to make him breakfast......TTYL :).

Deb :flower3:

Deb- You definately know the way he is feeling. You said it just right. One thing that helps is the my sister in law is going to stay home and leave the day after Xmas if they do not go to be with them. She knows how important it is to me for the girls to wake up Xmas morning at WDW and her kids are grown so it does not matter as much to her.

It will be fine. I just want to get on that plane. Once we are on the plane there is no turning back! (it is going to be a long six weeks)

MY HOUSE IS A DISASTER by the way! I hate mess and it is just terrible right now! Need to get movin.:)

Vanessa.......I can tell how much this trip means to you and I know everything will work out :goodvibes. I've never had Christmas here so I don't have to deal with all the planning and preparation that goes with it.....but I can imagine all the headaches having to deal with all that the weeks beforehand :headache:. Like Chan said.....you deserve this trip for YOU....as well as your girls to wake up in Disney on Christmas morning :santa:. My boys are teens so that isn't a big deal here......but for younger kids I can see how special that would be :). Just keep thinking how wonderful it will be once you are on that plane :yay:.

I can't get moving today either :rolleyes1. It's so nasty and yucky here that I don't want to do anything :rotfl: :rotfl:. I do have a load of :laundy: in....but other than that it won't be a very productive day .

Deb :)

Me, too DH and DS got up at 4:00 :scared1: to go hunting (I just hear them.....I DON'T get up :rotfl: :rotfl:)......but then I woke up around 7:00 and the first thing that popped into my head was "I WONDER IF CHAN GOT THE YACHT??????" and figured I'd better get up and go see :rotfl: :rotfl:. So I got up, took the dog out, turned the computer on while my coffee was brewing and came back to find out that.....yep.....she sure did

Deb :)

AWwww.....thanks, Deb. I went back to bed...LOL...even on 2 cups of coffeee...my furry baby jumped on the bed and woke me up with slobbery kisses at 10:30....she had to go out.:rotfl:

Thanks for thinking of me....up early in the dark....in the cold.....:rotfl2:

That is so funny....and so true. :thumbsup2 You need to just work on your nephew. Make sure he is psyched to go. :goodvibes The sun rises and sets on my kids for my parents....WE don't always see eye to eye:sad2: ...but my kids can do no wrong in their eyes.:rotfl: I agree with Maxie....grandkids have the pull in the family.

Deb Snow:scared1: We have another mild day today, but I know the cold weather is coming back. 131 days until spring.

Chan:woohoo: :jumping1: You got the Grand 1.

THANKS, Maxie!!!:goodvibes I am so excited!!!!! Plus this means....less then 90 days til we'll be there.:rotfl:

Vanessa....I saw you ask about RPC on the other thread....and some "overblown" comments.....*eyeroll*...the thing that makes it special FOR US are the CMs in RPC. That is really it. They make us feel so welcome. I am sure they wouldn't do that for CERTAIN peeps that are rude and mean and make snarky backhanded comments.....so some people will never know the magic of RPC. BUT....I would keep checking if RPC IS something you really want. I do also like it for the lounge....especially on busier season trips...it's nice to be able to take a break and relax there in peace and listen to the music instead of in a hotel room. It really is nice, but honestly I am not a concierge snob....I have no problem in regular rooms anywhere....I just enjoy RPC a lot - we've had nothing but great experiences there. It never hurts to ask at check in either. From the DIS, you'd think asking for something better at check in is a crime....NO IT"S NOT. Either way, you will have a beautiful trip. This might be your DH's pretrip freak out. Believe me....been there.:rotfl:

CHanning:)

Hey everyone!!!

90 days!!!! We will be on that Yacht! :goodvibes

In all that worry did we forget about the cabana???:confused3

Took DD to the doctor...No strep! And she has kept down applesauce....

I said if she is still okay in a bit I am going to run to Old Navy....I will let you know....

Hey all,....
Its yucky and cold and snowing here,,,this is sucko!

Thanks for getting up at the "Crack of Me" (get it) to get the partay boat....WTG! :woohoo:

Vanessa....I moved to Wisconsin when I was in 6th grade through HS and lived in a town just like yours.....I could never live there though...everyone knows your business and its not their business....plus they are all interrelated somehow! I was an "outsider" from chicago...couldnt be trusted:rotfl2: So true about bars, church, deer hunting, etc....Ick im getting flashbacks, i have to stop talking about it

I just took down my Halloween things...I have had NO TIME.

KEL...you rock! You know why! This is giving my mom incentive to be ready by spring break.

We booked our postponed trip for spring break! I am excited! I also changed the airfare....still stinko....oh well the deal from disney makes up for it...

TTFN....i have lots to do today....I will update on the flipside:)

:rotfl: We sure would....I can just see everyone now in Feb....Where is D & S??? Oh they stopped at the gift shop!!!! :rotfl2:

NC is Sunny and 62 right now. I would love to see snow - we rarely get any. Isn't it funny how where ever we live, we always want the weather that some else is having. We should do one of those house swaps for a week and see how good or bad the other person has. Have a good Sunday - Lisa.

Hi Gals!

Thanks so much for the condolences~so nice of you:)

Channing you are right the antics on here definitely cheer me up...:thumbsup2
BTW glad you got the yacht booked..what a workout to get that done!!!

Deb Just the thought of snow already makes me :scared1: I really need to move south....BTW do I see a date change on your ticker??? Are you going in June...maybe we'll be there at the same time...

I guess its like you said Lisa...we all want what we dont have...but I must say I dont think I'd ever miss the cold....

Good thing spring is only 131 days away:rotfl: thanks Maxie for keeping us updated:)

Vanessa I'm sure everything will work out for your trip I know how much you have put into your planning and trying to do whats best all around...

Dawn Glad to hear you have rebooked your trip...:)

I'm a little out of the loop-just read about that new 4/3 package that came out a few days ago...booking my next trip is looking better all the time...have to tell DH how can you pass up 3 free nights...:rotfl:

I have lots to catch up on around here...TTYL:flower3:

Thansk for understanding gals and not thinking I am some crazy Disney planner. (and if you do not letting me know about it!):rotfl:

This trip does mean a lot to me. I think when it comes down to it I am really scared that we are going to miss home. Christmas has always been a very special holiday to me. I loved it as a child and still do. My husband loves it also. We were engaged and married at Christmas. We are celebrating 10 years of marriage and spending the first ever holiday away from our friends and family. I think this is why I keep obsessing over every detail. The one thing I did skimp on was giving up that Deluxe room. I just saw the pics of it on the GF thread and it looks huge. I probably should have kept it but I did get free dining and a discount on the GV room so that is hard to pass up.

I just got my tree finished and it is beautiful. Dh walked in and said to me "I love this time of year!" It is something in his face when it comes to the holidays that I just cannot put my finger on. I just hope he has a good time!!

OK-no more talk about that. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Lisa......I would LOVE for it to be 62 and sunny here.....instead it's about 40 and COLD :headache:. But you're right.......we always want the weather someone else has that we don't :rotfl: :rotfl:.

BlueSkies.......I hear ya on the moving south.....I tell DH it's time to move to Mickey-ville :rotfl: :rotfl:. And YES.....I changed my ticker :cool1: :cool1:. We were booked to go in July but with the buy 4/get 3 deal we changed it :thumbsup2. We are now booked for June 19th-26th....and Chan will be there June 20th-27th :dance3:. When in June are you thinking of going :confused3?

Vanessa.......We can't call you a crazy Disney planner since all of us are crazy Dis planners ourselves :lmao:.

Just try to keep telling yourself that you are going to have a FABULOUS time in Disney at Christmas :santa:. It may be hard at first but it will be a time of such great memories that you will have forever :). I know it's hard but try not to worry too much about it because it is going to be Grand :thumbsup2.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day :flower3:.

Deb :yay:

Dawn- Just wanted to let you know that I was glad you got to reschedule your trip! Spring Break will be lots of fun with awesome weather!
