Anyone know what floor the lounge is on in the Sugarloaf Building?

It is on the first floor. It is in the lobby of the Sugar Loaf building, very convenient. You pass by every time you enter or exit the building. Easy to just grab a snack or drink on your way by. Congrats on booking your first CL stay.

Got my confirmation. I'm still having a hard time believing it. 7 nights RPC and 1 day base ticket for 3649.46. I am saving 284.00 and staying an extra night, May 7-14. We were doing a split stay 3 nights BWI CL and 3 nights RPC. Thanks Kelly.

WTG . I'm still excited about this new deal and I got my confirmation last night .

OMG!!! My day keeps getting better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called Chase to find out why only half of my 5X rewards have showed up on my statement. We should have earned the full $100. The guy tells me that what I saw was from a completely different promotion from Disney itself, not Chase, and my $100 is still coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are at $449 right now, with another 65 coming this month(paid off the December trip this month ). If the $100 shows up too I will be at $614!!!!!!! I need $580 for the AP upgrade so that is $34 to start putting away towards the Pop trip!!! AND we are earning 5X again though the end of the year, for another $100 bonus. I am thinking I will be close to $500 by then, which is more than 1/3 of the trip paid for!!!

Morning gals!

Having fun reading about all of your deals. I am wondering why I bought DVC. We go back to WDW at the end of July for Lily's Bday along with Evie's family.

We can finally see the end of harvest. 50 more acres to go. I made dh get all the Christmas stuff out last night so the tree is going up today! I am hosting our Christmas Party for work so I need to get started.

I am getting pre-trip procrastination. This is when I work for months to get ready and the last few weeks I do nothing and then panic. I have ordered some cute custom shirts etc so I am excited about that.

Morning, all....

I am up bright and early because I tried to book the Grand 1.....OMG...I am SO MAD RIGHT NOW.

I called at 5:58 MY TIME...and the lady on the phone told me I was her first call of the day...she had just finished signing in....OMG....and guess what? I was SHAFTED. Somebody got it first. HOW?!?!?! It was not even 7 am FL time. I didn't even expect the phone system to let me thru.

So....I will be up earlier and hitting redial about 5:50 am tomorrow.

The lady in recreation said I was her FIRST CALL and she said it's not even 7 am THERE.....and dind't know how it could be booked - She said it didn't show it was booked....it just wasn't there.......she called guest services while I was on hold & they ddin't know....she said she'd keep checking and call me back when she could get it to show available because guest services said it wasn't loaded into the system yet.....can you fricken believe it....so I call back at 6:15 here only to be told that yacht was booked at 7:05 am. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM AT 705 am BOOKING A CABANA!!!! SHE CHECKED AND SAID IT STILL WAS NOT LOADED!!!!!!

Sorry...i needed to vent because instead of being all shiny happy and going back to bed...I am FUMING MAD and stuck sitting here in the flippin dark....not gonna be getting back to sleep.

Soccer is over as of last weekend....I just got up early today to torture myself.

That is awesome about the harvest coming to an end!! Is is freezing cold down there now?!?!?!? It is BRUTAL already here. I am feeling my age in my achy cold bones. Time to move south!!

What fun - going on vacatoin with Evie and her family! We have the best trips when we go with friends....which doesn't happen often as most of my friends are so anti disney it's sad.

Marvel......It was 40 degrees and FREEZING here last night . I'll take 60 and humid anyday over our Chicago winters . I hate winter and can't stand the cold .


Chan.......That really sucks about the Grand........I would be livid too . How could she tell you it isn't even showing up and then when you call back it's already booked ??? Something definitely isn't right about that . Are you trying to book for the February trip?? I'm surprised you even got through since it wasn't even officially 7 AM FL time.....usually it's 7:00 and not a minute sooner . Try not to let it ruin your day.......I know you'll get through tomorrow morning and get it booked for Saturday .


Vanessa......OMG.....I was just telling DH the other day that I was thinking about getting the Christmas stuff out and him and DS looked at me like I was totally nuts . Christmas is definitely creeping up on me sooner than I want it to.....but I have so much stuff that I put out that I want to be able to enjoy it since it is alot of work . Have fun putting your tree up today .

I hate misquitoes, but I hate snow even more. It is warm and humid here too, but I'll take it anyday over cold and snow. 132 days until spring.

Chan That is awlful about the Grand 1. Sorry you couldn't book it today. Sending extra so you will be able to get it tomorrow. If that happens again tomorrow, just tell them you will stay on the line until it shows up.

Either nothing is available when I want to go or nothing at the resort I want to stay at. I have to admit I am a resort snob. At least we can share our excitment here, nobody else gets it.

It is FREEZING here. It will be good to have dh around again! I am gonna be one cold chick trying to hand Xmas lights today!

I have been trying to stay off the DIS and work. With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up I need to be caught up in my office so I can leave without feeling stress. I love to work from home but that means the work never stops.

YES- I am getting the tree. I showed it to dh last night and said "this is what you are getting me for my Anniversary." He rolled his eyes and said fine. So I guess that means I can order it!! I know I will use it for years to come since I am such a Xmas freak. (he is getting ready to get one of those Ranger things you drive around the yard so my little $400 tree does not even hold a candle to his $10,000 toy!)

Channing~ I know you have ordered a lot of custom outfits. Lexi only wants shirts because she hates jeans as it is and will not wear the custome ones. I am on the fence with Lily. How comfortable are those custom jean/capris??? I was thinking about just getting shirts, matching bows and shoes and letting them wear regular jean capris. Any thoughts on this??

Got my final confirmation today. I am all payed off! WOOHOO! I really cannot believe I am spending Christmas at the GF.

THanks, guys...I am being a whiner because I am tired and crabby. I woke up at 3:57...and 4:32...and then at 5:56...I was so worried about getting that thing booked. I thought I had it in the bag! I put the number in the phone last night so I'd just have one button to push..... I am NOT an early bird so this is a tough pill to swallow...that I got up only to feel ripped off!!! OK...so today was the practice round....NOW i know what I am up against...and it is ugly.

Maxie, keep that spring countdown going. It is getting ugly and brown and cold now here!! It was just a few days ago it was in the 70s and the leaves were beautiful golden and orange!!!

Vanessa TPV from the gf...eh. Don't waste your money....GV is really pretty. JMO...YMMV...but I would just hang onto the gv.

vanessa..sorry we posted about the same time and I missed your clothes question....

What I do is buy the tees I LIKE...usually from limited too or old navy and then send them to the ladies to applique and embroider. OR...if they are agreeable to shopping and picking up the brand I like..they just do it.

The capris are usually just Jojo's sized jeans that they cut off to make into capris and then applique all over. So...if Lexi is not big on the jeans....i'd skip it...does she wear jean skorts? They could applique a skort. The tees can be funky on the inside once they are appliqued...jojo usually wears a cami under because she is fussy about anytihing rubbing her wrong. But after a few washings they soften up.

Glad about the tree! It is pretty and i think the pictures don't do the items justice. Everything I"ve seen in person from the Disney Florist has WOWed me....not on their site as much...but in person WOW! I didn't like that blue tree from last year though....Like Marci I thought it was a Hanukkah tree.

I grew up in the country too.....my grandpa bought a farm as a hobby...he had just over 100...for "fun" LOL...and we had 5....lots to mow...but my dad was anal about his lawn...it was 5 acres of golf course...surrounded on all sides by acres and acres of wheat, beans or corn...


That stinks! Why would they no longer book it? What possible reason is there for that? You're right..why are they there then?

Glad I'm not the only one who feels like this . All I hear in this house is how DH and DS hope it will SNOW so they can go snowmobiling . NO THANKS . DS15 has no interest either.....he takes after me and wants nothing to do with the cold......but DS13 lives for it .

DH is always giving me a hard time (in fun, of course ) about always being on the Dis....but he was shocked when I told him I saved him $1250 BECAUSE OF THE DIS . By switching our July trip to June to take advantage of the 4/3 deal, I saved $1250 . Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that after the booking window for this new deal is over that Disney comes out with something else good for December 2009 .

Marvel~ We farm about 1000 acres right now between ours and Ron's parents. It is alot but we are small in comparison to farmers around us. Some days I wonder why we do this but dh loves it so I cannot complain. You can make money but it is very risky. There have been many years we have taken large losses. The cost to farm between input costs and equipment is crazy. A combine can cost an easy $200,000 plus. So when you are working with those type of costs it is hard to make large profits. He also works full time on top of it in the seed business so he is in charge of their harvest also. He is in much need of this upcoming vacation.

Channing~ Thanks for the info on the clothes. Good idea about the cami underneath. Lexi is PICKY about anything scratch etc. I just hated to spend a bunch of money on stuff she will not wear.

Im sorry about wishing for snow

but this is NY city we just dont get the good snow...its always to the north and west of us.

I can only remember two times where we had to stay home from snow
...one was around 1977 and one was 1996 or something like that.

And chan that 5 acres of golf lawn sounds great Im picturing the wheat and corn around...it sounds really nice... I think I was a country boy in a previous life
