Deb...OMG. Wow...that sucks. Sounds like they are totally ignoring the fact that the camera and purse shouldn't have even been there. I think they just want to stick it to your son....(and you ) That sure sounds familiar though.....definitely something that would have could have happened to DS....I remember in like 5th grade he and a group of boys were rough housing at recess and one got pushed down....his jeans got grass stained and ripped...and the mom called me! I felt so embarrassed....but then found out thru several other kids that this victim was a ring leader! And of course MY son gets busted.

Mandy.....it must be a boy thing. LOL...these boys give us gray hair. Good luck!! You have YEARS to go...lol

Vanessa, Happy Anniversary!! I hope you have a nice time celebrating. Yes...we just had 20 yrs...it flew by.

We are looking at getting a foot of snow this afternoon into tomorrow. I am actually glad we are north of the ice. Snow sucks but ice - I do agree - is worse. I wonder if the kids will have a snow day tomorrow.....they WANT school tomorrow..it's there Xmas party day etc.

I have to get my errands done today.

I was shopping and cleaning and doing stuff for xmas. We are getting Shawn a 3 pack of Bruins hockey tickets for his last big gift and I might buy Anty that koda the dino thing if I can find it this weekend.

Ron and I are going out tomorrow night to celebrate 10 years...it seems crazy and it has gone so fast. I just emailed our wedding pictures to the Coral Reef for the personalized menu. Boy those were the days. I loved getting married.

Gotta run DS just locked his bedroom door.......

When we moved we made sure not to put any locks on any of their doors. My son used to lock himself in all the time by pushing the button and you could only unlock from the other side with one of those long pins that you stuck through a tiny hole in the door knob. It was always take us forever to open it.

He appearantly made another student's desk flip backwards (no harm to either one). Him and a friend were messing around and DS was pushing on the other kid's desk and somehow it tipped back . AND....if that wasn't bad enough him messing around when he SHOULD have been doing his work.........the desk SUPPOSEDLY landed on a girl's purse, in which case BROKE her cell phone AND camera

aw! I am juicing myself up on coffee now & will be running around in a bit....it seems the more I DO..the more I find I need to DO!!!!

That is cool about the Bruins tickets. And I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall when Anty gets that Koda thing!!! OMG!!!! Good luck finding it! I know you didn't want to get it...but it would be worth the whole pita of it to see his surprise and joy!!!

Can I vent for a sec...more stupid school crap! Must be dumb season!

Em's class had a "gift swap" thingy girls bring a girl gift, boys a boy gift...then trade. Some ******* brought a jump rope for a 3 yo girl swap! And of course my daughter got the jump rope. What the hell is she going to do with a 6' long jump rope that is clearly listed for ages 6+..I am kinda pissed. Cheap dollar store crack heads and their no brain having selves. Lovely! (ok, done, thanks! )

OMG!!! I JUST TOLD MY HUSBAND ALL THIS AND HE SAYS...GET THIS...."THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING MY MOM WOULD DO"! LMAO!!!!!!

omg...i was reading that thread about the stomach bug.

when we were there last Thanksgiving that was going around too.....I saw vomit in too many places to mention. GAG.....it was wicked nasty. BUT luckily none of us got it at all.

Kristin.....this whole vomit thread thing reminds me of your "CHanning moment"....so did those peeps with the vomiter stay and enjoy the rest of their meal in CRT? I guess THAT is what really grossed me out about my MOMENT!! The people just put the sick kid on their laps and ordered another round of beer! The girl just put her head on mom's shoulder and rested...but ...ugh...IMO..they should have taken their sick kid home and put her to bed...that is just mean to her and to the other peeps in the restaurant....it IS contagious & I took a BEATING for saying that. People get WEIRD when they go to WDW IMO. Common sense goes bye bye...like that slippery Basin soap.

Yeah as long as there is no bad weather for Feb 5th thru the 9th I am good give or take a few days here and there just to make sure.

Deb: Ugh is all I can say. I guess this is what I have to look forward to with two boys!

Marvel: You wished for all this D@mn snow we're getting, NOW YOU DON'T WANT SNOW!!!! I have to go and reschedule DS1's DR appt for tomorrow, I'm not shleping across town on the bus in a blizzard for a well visit. I hope for your sake your plane takes off on time. They keep increasing the numbers. At first we were getting a dusting, now six inches. And of all weekends, this was the one we were heading up to the Poconos. I haven't been there in months (DH has). I'm not going there in the snow, they always get twice as much as we get.

Vanessa: Congratulations! Our tenth anniversary is coming this May. Times really flies! Oh, my boys got the WDW bug. DS1 got sick at the airport (not fun) DS4 got it two days later. Thankfully it was at the end of our trip. We hand sanitized and washed hands like crazy. Can't explain it, but they got it.

Dawn: 4 hours in traffic is the worst!!! But glad it payed off and it was a great concert. Did you see they got snow in Vegas yesterday!! 4 to 6 inches!! It's all over the news!! Global Warmer - I'm a believer!!!

Mandy: I have the complete opposite with my DS4, he's a true performer. He LOVED being on stage for his holiday concert last Friday. I do agree w/Marvel, on most of our doors we have handles with no locks. I think the only doors with locks are the bathrooms, none of the bedrooms. We thought of that even before we had kids!

Kelly: That DINO is back up to $299. When Chan gave us the $99 link it didn't last more than a few hours.... Our TRU still had a few instock, but at regular price. They have lots of stuff in the center of the store 50% off. I got DS4 a Diego Rescue Station that was $49.99 on sale for $19.99. The box is HUGE. I don't even know what the heck it is really, I just thought it was a good deal on a big toy

We enjoyed our breakfast at the Cape May Cafe, it was on T-giving Day. I thought the restaurant was rather empty-looking but the service was still slow. The kids loved the character interaction and the food was good. We haven't been to dinner there in years. It was good and had a nice variety of seafood. I agree, I wouldn't hike there from the GF just to eat. If you plan to go to Epcot or DHS, then it's a nice pit stop. We went only because we were at the BWI. I wouldn't go out of my way for the breakfast. I thought it was just like all the rest. The only breakfast that stood out for us was Tusker House. That buffet was amazing! The selection was huge! Cheese blintzs, quiche, carving station, etc... That's one to try if you haven't done it yet.

Tuesday night was crazy!!! My SIL didn't pick up my niece until 12:30 am!!! I had gone to bed. I let DH deal with it, it's HIS sister! My boys fell asleep by 9:30 (later than normal) but my niece wouldn't lay down. She drove me crazy. She just didn't understand it was a week night, she thought it was a regular visit - let's play and hang out. Finally at 10:30 she passed out on the sofa!

I hit the stores yesterday at 9am. ToysRus was crazy! I didn't realize they were having a two day sale and opened at 7am!! I got everything I went for which surprised me they had stuff in stock, some stuff they just got in that they didn't have last week. So I was happy. Then I hit the mall and it took a good 20 mins to find a parking spot!! DS1 napped and I was able to shop. I bought so much the stroller wanted to tip back from all my shopping bags! Then I had to go grocery shopping! I had so much stuff in my SUV, I couldn't see out the back window!! Didn't help DS1 made me buy him a HUGE Thomas train balloon! Thank GOD for my wonderful doorman!! He emptied out my whole SUV for me. I had so much stuff it wouldn't fit on one luggage cart!

I'm off to hit Target before the storm. I need some gift bags. Oh and a new bathroom rug. DS4 puked on it last week and I just couldn't stomach it at 3am. It went right into the trash compactor!! Just had to throw that in since we're talking so much vomit today!

We went to a gym "near" us (everything is like 20-30 miles from here, so near is relative) last night. We took a tour last week and got a two-week trial membership so we were trying it out and really enjoyed it. I think we will probably join, as we really need to. It will just be continuing to go...I guess paying for it will be motivation enough . I used to go all of the time when I was in High School, as there was one right across the street from the hospital where I worked, then I used to ride horses every day when I did that for a living. Now that I "work" at a desk all day, I guess I need to do something to stay fit, and DF wants to lose weight. He lost 40lbs on South Beach, but has stalled out for a few months, so I hope this will help

Chan We like the people that are coming Christmas eve. She is my best friend from childhood. They live in PA and I only get to see her once or twice a year. Her husband is from Providence, so we get together whenever they come to see his family.

I didn't see the vomit thread DS got sick the day before we came home and spent most of it in bed and was throwing up the morning we left. DH got sick when we got home, but not the stomache bug, just a cold. So far I am OK. I don't have time to get sick. We did notice that it seemed that there were a lot of sick people in the parks. For anyone going soon, wash your hands and carry purell and use it frequently.

Hi to everyone else.

NO we wanted to but the kids wanted to go to Epcot and we did for a few hours and then went home. I was still to freaked out and the crowds were crazy! We were planning on going Monday morn but the kids acted like WDW would be closing its doors forever when we mentioned going to a hotel to see some neat ice....... DS6 said "Ice? I wan't to ride test track not look at Ice!" We were too wiped out to explain the magnitude of the ice so off to Epcot we went.

Did you love it? We are gonna go next year!

Afternoon All........

Left early this morning to go get my hair cut and run to Target. I guess DS is not knocking over any desks today as there were no phone messages from school when I got home . I guess he was bound to get into trouble sooner or later.....teen boys . Oh well.....guess we'll deal with whatever comes about when/if something happens .


Shel......You made me laugh once again . That stinks about the exchange gift . That's what would happen to me......one of my two would be the one to end up with something like that .


Chan.......Tell me about it........my kid is always the one to get BUSTED . Of course I NEVER expected this sort of thing out of DS13........DS15 maybe ....but not the younger one . It's just crazy........I am SO READY for Christmas break .


Marvel........I told you the snow would come when you were leaving . I guess the weather has changed a bit for us Hoosiers.......not supposed to get the ice storm but rather 8+ inches of snow ....the ice is supposed to be going further south. But I would rather have a foot of snow over ice . I hope the snow comes after you leave so you don't have any problems or delays . Have a great trip and enjoy the GF .


Kelly.....Good luck finding the Kota Dino . I went to Kmart.com and they had it in stock but it was full price at $299.99 . Not sure how accurate the website is as far as current availabililty......but I just pulled it up a few minutes ago.


Maxie........Have a great Christmas with your friend and her family.....how nice to have such close friends coming for the holidays . I'm sorry DS got sick on your last day of vacation . Hopefully he's feeling better .


Amy.....Your wedding is getting sooo close . Before long you will be married and enjoying your time at Disney with your new hubby .

Oh my GOSH! I have been gone all darn day and this is all you guys chatted!?!?!?!?!?!?

Maxie, that is neat. I have several friends that I had since first grade!! We also don't see eachother often because of distance, kids' commitments, busy lives..whatever. But that is so nice that your friend will be spending Christmas Eve with you.

Marvel...Well...it's probably a good thing you're driving vs. flying. YOu can beat that blizzard!! Good luck & have a safe drive and a FANTABULOUS stay at the Grand. (and a Merry Christmas too! )

Deb...I went to Target today too! (saw a friend there...and good thing, too, because Lucy neglected to tell me she is doing a Secret Santa thing and needed a $10 gift!!!! so I bought a bookstore gc...but I would have wrung her neck if I had to go out AGAIN!!!) I was EVERYWHERE today...just trying to tie up loose ends. We are supposed to get haircuts tonight but I am almost hoping for hideous snow so she cancels. I am BEAT! I don't have shopping stamina like I used to. Not into it much....and seriously it seems the more I go..the more I realize I need MORE... Then I got a call I have to pick up Lucy from school about 4:30. I don't want to. I feel like I should be done. I came home to a messy house...AGAIN. It's never ending. I am glad you didn't get any phone calls from the school. I know on caller ID I always shudder when it's a school calling.....i hate those calls.

Well...I wonder if the kids will be off tomorrow....??? Have to watch the news and see what is coming our way. They said this morn a foot near the WI line...and we are NEAR the WI line alright.

OK..I will TTYL. I can't believe how quiet this thread was....everybody must be out running! I wonder if Kel found that Koda......
