My son and I are having a fun time here. We arrived on Sunday and leave on Friday. The GCH is great - will return here again on our next trip for sure. It is so convenient. We are hitting the rides on our list appreciating my son is only 4 albeit a tall 4-year-old plus I do not like extremely spinny or big roller coasters. Gadget's Go Coaster was enough for me!

The line-ups are not that long in my opinion but I don't mind waiting. Of course, Magic Mornings help. But I have not had to get FPs for the rides that require it. We are resting each afternoon at the hotel so that helps. My only issue - where are all these PhotoPass photographers??? I pre-purchased the PhotoCD and am afraid I won't get my money's worth. We shall see how the next few days go. I am taking my own.

I am glad that I found this forum - the information has been invaluable in maximizing our fun here and minizing our waits. I suspect we will hit all our rides before Friday so can go back to the ones my son enjoyed the most as well as focus on finding those Disney photographers! LOL!

I too have not been impressed by the number of photopass photographers in the parks. I suppose you found the one by the Mickey floral right after you enter the park and the one(s) near the castle. Sometimes they will come out to town square during character meets. I'm really struggling though to think where else you can find them regularly. The Pooh meet and greet in Critter Country. Sometimes with Buzz in Tomorrowland, sometimes not. One or two roam through Fantasyland or Frontierland occasionally.

In DCA, there are usually one or two photopass photographers out on Hollywood street when the characters are doing meet and greets. A photographer comes for the UP meet and greet in the Redwood Creek area. Often but not always there is one with the Lightning/Mater meet and sometimes there is one just standing around to take your picture in the center corridor with the Grizzly Peak in the background.

Do you have a Disney Visa? There is a private meet and greet near the Monsters Inc ride from 10:30 AM - noon each day.

there once was a list some where on this site where to look for all the photo pass cms.

Thanks, everyone! And thanks for the advice!

Yes, we've had several at the Mickey floral. No Disney Visa unfortunately.

Mind you, we have not hit DCA yet - saving for last two days and Friday morning if necessary.

We still have tonight's character dining and tomorrow's character breakfast for more shoots with characters so that's nice. We have the million dollar shots with Mickey so that's good too plus with my son's favourite character, Pluto.

I will look hard tonight back in DLP for the photographers.

Thanks again!

Enjoy! My DD will be 4 when we go - sounds like a great age to visit!

I'm biased but I say perfect age - my son is good with waiting his turn and is quite patient. He is not a "monkey". I love how he says hi and thank you to the CMs at the attractions. He is brave and wants to go on all rides. I know all kids are different but I would not have been able to take him a year ago. He would have been a handful.

The one special thing I love - I can see the continuous awe in his eyes. It's like a constant playground full of new things - and all things most kids like.

Enjoy your time!

Glad you guys are having a good time.
I wanted to bring something to your attention...someone can correct me if I am wrong, but the pre-paid Photopass is only available for WDW. With DL, you can only purchase the CD after your trip. The CD for DL is $69.95. The pre-paid CD is $119.95...but it is for WDW. If I were you, I would call the photo pass # and try and get your $ credited.
I almost made the same mistake before...the website is not clear at all.

It's my first trip as an adult and my son's first trip. I have to admit, as much as I'm enjoying myself, that enjoyment comes from seeing my son smile, laugh, and get excited. He's a happy child in general but times that by a million here! LOL!

Didn't know that - I will call them for sure. Thanks!

Just to follow up, I did call the PhotoPass people and they refunded me $50 so I still get to do the PhotoCD for Disneyland. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention! Appreciate it!
