Have you used your Superbowl voucher?

So, how does the ticket redemption place know you didn't cheat and get two tickets from the same contest?:confused3

Marsha
Each ticket will have a diffrent confirm number and the computer will tell them which contest it came from :thumbsup2

Okay, thanks for the info! I am so excited that I won both:cool1:

Exactly right. When they scan the barcode on the confirmation it tells where it came from, what kind of ticket, etc..

Looks like it ended March 22. Funny thing is that my city/county were not even listed as being eligible, but I still won a ticket. I am wondering if these contests are giving tickets to everyone who enters, knowing they will not come alone, KWIM?

Mousesavers has a contest page here http://www.mousesavers.com/disneysweepstakes.html THere are Universal contests as well as Disney contests.

Marsha

Thanks for the info........I hope to win one more ticket.......I'll check out mousersavers.com! Thanks again!

I got my ticket and the contest worked for me. We are going on a Disney cruise in October. We were originally only going to visit WDW for 3 day and do the cruise for 4 days but now will fly down 1 day earlier and do 1 day at Universal since we got the 1 ticket. Sure it is only 1 ticket but my kids enjoy Universal too and we thought we would give it a shot again.

I'm wondering about the address matching on the voucher to ID.
I had mine mailed to my mom's address, because on the contest rules, it stated "no PO Box address or business addresses" could be used. Well I HAVE to use my PO Box for my mail. So the voucher arrived at my mom's with her address on it. It has my name on it. Will this be a problem?

can you use a passport? They don't have an address on them?

Just a thought... if you have a passport....

passports were one of the items listed for acceptable id purposes.

yes, you do put your address in your passport for it to be valid.

i believe it is on page 3 where you write your address in with pencil.

Most likely it won't be a problem as long as you redeem it at Guest Services (rather than the ticket window) and just explain about your PO Box. You could also call guest services ahead of time to make sure: 407-224-4233 (Choose option 9.)

I was there on Thursday to redeem my voucher -- I used my Passport card, which does not include an address. They just matched up the name and my photo, got my ticket no problem. I would imagine that would be a solution for people with new addresses/PO boxes, etc. -- get a passport card. I used it at the regular ticket window, FWIW.

anyone NOT have a voucher or a confirmation #? I have moved between the time the contest ran and now. I had my mail forwarded, but have not received my voucher. I called to get a confirmation #, and they said they stopped giving them out because some people were trying to take advantage of the system. I was told that because my name checked out in the system as a valid winner, I could show an ID and get my ticket. Fortunately, I haven't changed my DL yet to my new address. So those will match up. Just worried about getting there and having to buy my ticket instead of getting the free one!

Oh good! That's exactly what I was planning on doing.

They can't seriously think that a certain percentage of people won't have moved and have non-matching addresses, especially when we get a few months out from now, can they?

Since they have verified that you are in the system, then you will be fine. Make sure you go to the Guest Services Will-Call window though as they will be able to look it up and issue your ticket.

These tickets can be picked up at the ticket windows too as long as you have a matching photo ID. So if you see a long line at guest services please do all a favor and go over to the ticket window.

Just wanted to post that DH and I both used our Superbowl vouchers this past week. We were right behind each other in line and showed our photo ID with the same address. Now, I entered us in both contests, so I don't know which one we won, if that makes a difference. We had a great time, the crowds were very manageable- most waits 10-20 min. I waited 5 min for the Simpsons at around 11:00 on Friday.

Saturday was a little crazy being the last Mardi Gras day and a Nelly concert, but we left around 5 and missed everything.

I just got an email that I won another Universal ticket. This one is from my NBC affiliate; I entered that contest a few weeks ago. So......I guess since they aren't related to each other, I can get both of them, right? It says one per household on both of the rules, but they are different contests. The second one is good through March 2010.

Marsha

Just an update. I got the second ticket in the mail yesterday. It wasn't a voucher, it was an actual 2 park 7 day ticket! No name on it, so now my DS can use that one and I can just turn in the one voucher for my ticket. Whoopee!:cool1:

Marsha

I did get my ticket with no problems. I am an AP holder, so I picked up my ticket and let my brother use it to see the parks with me for the first time. He got to see both parks and is now planning on taking his family there.

If other couples get two or more vouchers then I would redeem them separately. There was a couple that had some problems because the promotion was supposed to be limited to one ticket per household. Most people would probably not mind but you never know if you get the ticket person that is upset at the world because he broke up with his girlfriend or something.
