Have you seen this?

Ok, first of all, why in the world you you believe anything on FB that was written by any of these biker thugs. 2nd, even if it was true, at what point would you take off to protect your wife and 2 year old. They were slashing tires, do you think they were just having a little party with this guy? I mean SERIOUSLY? Unbelievable.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't even have waited for that. The road is for driving... when 30 bikers surround a car, get it to stop, and then get off of their bikes and start coming towards it NOTHING good is about to happen. They aren't asking for directions.

The video speaks for itself and clearly shows the bikers as the aggressors. And for the family of the paralyzed biker trying to say that their little snowflake was only trying to help the other biker up (the one who did the brake checking), the video stills clearly show that that biker never actually fell down. He brake checked the suv and still was on his bike, slowed down when he realized he had managed to slow down the suv. Then they got off their bikes to surround the suv and slash the tires. If I had been in that suv I would have been terrified! And I probably would've taken off too!

Is anyone other than the bikers and their families opposed to what the SUV driver did? I haven't read anything that indicates anyone else is saying the SUV driver was wrong to step on the accelerator and plow through the bikers.

Just curious if anyone has read any opinions that believe he should have sat in his car until help arrived.

Folks in the beginning of this thread stated that he should not have moved his cars, but should have waited for the police (after admittedly not watching the video...)

Latest local NYC news:

NYPD believe that SIX or more bikers beat the SUV driver.

ANOTHER RIDER ARRESTED TODAY!!! They haven't figured out the charges yet.

2 pictures of 2 more bikers were released to the public yesterday of men wanted for questioning.

Reginald Chance, the guy who smashed in the window with his helmet, was arraigned in court yesterday. He flipped the bird, with both hands, in court, at the photographers. Turns out he too, has a lengthy criminal record. No wonder he had no respect while in court.

The guy who brake checked and started it all, was on GMA this morning, giving a public statement, with his lawyer sitting next to him. He's all scared, whiny and contrite now. Amazing, he has no power when off the bike. The says that he is being unfairly targeted by the NYPD. (Karma for targeting the SUV? :p) He claims he was not brake checking. Only changing lanes and he was turning around (several times) to see where his friends were. The NYPD do not believe him. If convicted, he may only get 1 year in prison for his charges. Not nearly enough time for Bubba to make him his girlfriend in prison. :sad2:

The lawyers of the two other guys arrested, the one who beat in the driver's side window, and the one who opened the SUV door, both gave public statements to the news. (BOTH were charged with gang assault & criminal weapons possession.) They say that neither guy was involved with the beating. (Guess they do not know that the rest of the video has been confiscated by the NYPD.)

The lawyer claims the one guy just broke in the window. That was it. (After all that work breaking the window, he didn't bother going in and grabbing the SUV driver out. ) He claims to also have been hit by the SUV also, and that he has a right to get the name & phone number, when involved in an accident, and that is what he was doing.

Just watching the public statements of both lawyers, Gloria Allred is the best of the bunch, representing these scum. If I were the two men, I'd be afraid. Very afraid. :scared1: :lmao:

I'll see if I can find videos of it all to post later.

Thanks for the link!

The stills are evidence that:

1) Cruz was NOT injured during the bump - seen walking bike back and getting off bike.

2) Paralyzed biker was NOT helping Cruz who was not injured.

3) MULTIPLE bikers got off bikers and were surrounding SUV.

4) Remnants of the SUV tires were filmed on the road shortly after the SUV took off to escape the mob of bikers PROVING at least one of them slashed the SUV's tires while the SUV was surrounded causing Lien to fear for his and his family's life.

I am not one to wish ANYONE such physical harm even stupid and bad people who may "deserve" it, even in this case. Unfortunately, the biker who was paralyzed contributed to his own injuries by his actions and the rest of the blame rests on his comrades and not on a man fleeing a dangerous situation to protect his wife and child.

I wonder if these fools would go to a open carry state and do these antics?

What astonishes me is that NYCPD did nothing to nip this group in the bud,but h
ave the some of the most strictest gun laws, sorry, but if cops aren't going to protect and serve, people need to do whatever to protect themselves.

The Good Samaritan who helped the SUV driver rocks!

There is a very good reason why the police don't believe him, I saw a video of him doing his break check, he changed lanes andimmediately slowed down, he was bent low to the bike and the only thing he was looking at was the SUV, that video has since been pullled,

The lawyers of the two other guys arrested, the one who beat in the driver's side window, and the one who opened the SUV door, both gave public statements to the news. (BOTH were charged with gang assault & criminal weapons possession.) They say that neither guy was involved with the beating. (Guess they do not know that the rest of the video has been confiscated by the NYPD.) The lawyers are as cucoo as the savages they represent, weather or not they actually got a punch in they are as guilty as the next one. if those lawyers think that the public is going to believe they didn't take part in the beating I have 3 bridges to sell them, there is no way that the savage who repeatedly bashed the window stopped and then just watched, no sorry he had too much rage in him

Actually he has no such right, he has a right to get a copy of a police report he can't threaten someone and demand information from them.

I have commented above in red but going to all the media outlets, they are hanging themselves with their own tongues , with the exception of 1 or 2 posters on this I have not found anyone who things the savage bikers were in anyway shape or form the "victims" . They are not gaining anything by the PR campain, it just makes them look dumber than they already do. They thought they would be cute and post a video, they signed their own one way ticket to prison

Latest NYC local news update:

The NYPD have arrested a FOURTH man in this case! He didn't turn himself in, so the NYPD showed up at his home in Brooklyn and arrested him there. He ended up doing a perp walk into the police station with a jacket over his head. :p Not so tough without his helmet & & motorcycle. He is definitely charged with punching and kicking the SUV driver from clear camera footage.

2 pictures of others that the police are looking for were released to the press earlier. (I mentioned it earlier.)

NOW, the police say they have 3 more men who also were beating the SUV driver, that they will be releasing pictures of tomorrow. :thumbsup2

The NYPD tech department must be working overtime to enlarge & get clear still shots from the video, of all the guys involved. :cool1:

Here is the latest on the the new arrest and an update on the off-duty cop which Internal Affairs is investigating:
http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/video?id=9278785

Full interview with the guy who brake checked the SUV driver and caused the incident. He says his brake light never went on. Maybe that poster here who said bikes don't have brakes is right after all! :rotfl2:
http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/biker-intention-make-stop-20491860

He said he doesn't feel responsible. He also said this has turned his life upside down. I wish the reported had said, "So has SUV family's lives. That little girl may have nightmares for years because of this."

Videos of the lawyers' press statements of the other two bikers arrested, the one who smashed the driver's window and the guy who tried to open the door of the SUV driver as he tried to speed away:

Latest report says one of the cops actually took part in beating the SUV.

From the NY Post:

An off-duty undercover cop who had claimed he took no active role as fellow bikers pulled a Manhattan dad from his SUV and beat him to a pulp was actually pounding the vehicle with his fists at the height of the bloody road-rage attack, sources told The Post.

The cop, a seven-year veteran, had told investigators he didn’t help the injured man because he rode up to the scene as the beating was nearly over, sources said.

But video footage clearly shows otherwise, disgusted sources said Monday — and Internal Affairs Bureau higher-ups want to nail the officer.

Still, probers believe their hands are tied, sources said, because authorities have dropped charges against another biker, Allen Edwards, 43, of Queens, who allegedly punched the rear window of Alexian Lien’s Range Rover before Lien was pummeled in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

At the time, the chief of the Manhattan district attorney’s Trials Division, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, defended the move, saying, “Prematurely charging individuals with low-level crimes does not further the goals of the investigation and could weaken the cases we expect to bring against the perpetrators of serious crimes.”

But the cop will likely face internal charges. He didn’t tell his bosses he was with the bikers — much less at the crime scene — until more than three days after the Sept. 29 attack.

The unidentified cop has already been placed on modified duty and turned in his gun and badge.

“I think we all, no matter what your job is, have an obligation to help one another,’’ Mayor Bloomberg said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe’’ on Monday, in response to questioning about the officer’s actions. “And if you see somebody getting beaten up, you know, let’s go jump in and stop the fight.”

The explosive development came as a fourth biker was arrested in Lien’s beating.

Craig Wright, 29, was nabbed at his Canarsie home on Monday. Wright was busted after cops allegedly saw him in witness video that has not yet been made public.

In the clip, Wright is seen throwing punches through the shattered driver’s-side window of the 33-year-old victim’s Range Rover, according to a law-enforcement source. He is also seen allegedly kicking Lien outside the SUV.

He was charged with gang-assault and assault Monday night.

The biker was tracked down after cops traced his license plate, sources said. The bike is actually registered to his uncle, who he borrowed it from, sources said.

Cops are searching for at least two more suspects.

Meanwhile, Christopher Cruz, 28, who allegedly started the chain of events by slowing down his bike to let his pals ahead — leaving Lien to bump his car into him — said in an interview aired Monday that he felt no responsibility.

“I was looking over my shoulder to see where my friends were,” he told ABC News. “I wanted them to pull in front so I could follow them. I didn’t brake, but when I looked over my shoulder, my hand came off the throttle a little, but the driver didn’t slow down at all and bumped me.”

This is so awful. :(

While I don't condone running over people what the heck was he supposed to do? He was in fear for his life and protecting his family.

I have been attacked in a car and let me tell you, the mob mentality can lead to your death.

I'm more than a little bothered by the fact that an off duty officer takes part in the attack and only gets modified duty, if I lived in NYC I'd be paying close attention to make sure that their fired and prosecuted, I'd vote every political official out next election if not.

I read a more recent updates that states he will face criminal charges.

Criminal charges are at the discretion of the District Attorney however he will more than likely lose his job

Breaking News:

That 32 yr old undercover detective was just arrested and is now at Central Booking. He will most likely be arraigned tomorrow for Criminal Mischief.

I knew charges were at the discretion of the District Attorney, and that's why I said I'd vote them out along with every other official that didn't put pressure on the DA to press charges.

Are the DAs elected their or appointed ?

They are elected but the way polotics run in this city he wont be voted out regardless of the outcome sad but true

Did not get a chance to read the whole thread but there was a video of the bikers earlier in the day riding down on the wrong side of the street through a red light and banging on a Prius that almost hit them. I can bet that almost all of the bikers DO NOT HAVE A MOTORCYCLE LICENSE. I don't know if ATV's are illegal on the streets, but there was a few of them in the latest video.
