Have you seen these Aerial photos of Walt Disney World!

I hope you meant aerial instead of ariel. I don't know if I want to see pics from ariel's point of view.

Yes, my first thought was that poor Ariel might have lost her top, but after scrolling over the thread, I figured there must be some misunderstanding. ;)

:rotfl2: I thought they were photos of a mermaid boy was I surprised.

Someone posted about these photos a few months ago. Has anyone noticed if you use Google's new satellite maps, you can get a shot of the resorts in the picture, but the parks are blurred? Maybe for security purposes? Anyone?

hee hee hee The teacher can't spell!!! Yup, I meant aerial! Ariel....under the sea, under the sea!!!!1

DH said WDW is a no fly zone ...no planes can fly over. Is this right? I don;t think I have ever see a plane fly over but then again I don't think I ever paid any attention either? I asked the wonderful man whom we bought the photos from if there were any plans to print photos of the other parks and was told that they are trying but there is quite a bit of "Red tape" they have to go to so if they do it would not be any time soon. The photos we have are great. DH loved them and loves to look at the legend and find Disney landmarks. The man whom I have spoken to is Dan and he could not have been more helpful. Great guy!

Thanks D, L, & K's mom!! I enjoyed them. (However spelled!!!) :cheer2:

I don't know if it's a no fly zone, but satellites aren't effected by no fly zones. They are in orbit.

Satellites are definitely not affected by any TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) or other restriction.

If you go, you will occasionally see an airplane overhead on an approach vector into orlando international, but that is rare - you will see several helicopters on a given trip

For those interested... here ya go: :smooth:

Hello, you are right....it would be a satellite not a plane!!!!! I thought they were taken by a plane......not very smart. Someone said that planes can't fly over because of 9-11 and the threats. Is this the reason? Thanks for the info I find it very interesting.

I am almost certain that WDW is a no fly zone.
Yeah, it is for sure. When I was in high school in the 80's, my Dad owned a 4 seater Cesna and we thought it would be fun to land at the small airport on Disney property and have lunch at one of the parks. As we got closer, the tower picked us up on radar and diverted us to Orlando International. Any planes you see landing at WDW, if you ever see one, are owned and operated by Disney. The no fly zone has nothing to do with 9/11, just company policy.
