Have you seen Seven Pounds?

I was wondering if anyone has seen Seven Pounds with Will Smith and if so what you thought about the movie. My biggest question is it appropriate for a 12 year old? I read a couple of reviews that weren't so glowing and they said it was a dark movie. I have been seeing the previews for several months and it looked really good so I was wondering.

It depends on your twelve year old. That's really the youngest that I would even consider letting view this movie.
Gotta say, I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the movie. I'd state why except I don't want to give the plot away.

My vote could go either way. If you don't mind predictability and holes in the plot, it is an "enjoyable" (but very sad) movie.

OK......why doesn't the OP put SPOILER ALERT in the title so you all can tell me what happens.........because all I can get out of the reviews is "he can change 7 peoples lives, plot is predictable, and tear jerker but not worth the money......"

You really can't say what it's about without ruining the story. It was very sad, but I thought it was really good. I think it might be a little mature for a 12 year old, my dd would be upset by it I think.

Sorry, but I don't want to know what happens in case I decide to go see the movie. There is another thread on here that will give you more information and it does say spoiler alert, just do a search for Seven Pounds and you will find it.

We saw it last night with my 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter. She got bored, but he REALLY liked it. It was sad, but a great movie IMHO.
