I called today and talked to a super. I wanted to know what was up with not being able to pay off ressies. she said that if you read all on the site(before booking) there is a FAQ section.
- as for if the room becomes "cheaper" it does state on this, that yes, they will reduce your room rate if and when it becomes cheaper. you need not know about it. they do it automaticly.

- also that a one time nights depoist is taken and cannot be paid off till time of arrival.

I myself do NOT read the fine print.. :confused3
but it is good to know the rate could decrease..

I did ask about paying resort in full at time of arrival with disney dollars, and yes...absoluty you can do this. so this might be an opition for me.

Introducing Our Passholder Best Rate Program

Planning a vacation in a few months? Then it's time to try our Passholder Best Rate Program! Now Passholders booking a Disney Resort room online under the Passholder Best Rate Program at disneyworld.com/passholders can rest easy knowing they have received our best room rate offered to the general public* at that time for the room and nights booked. And, if we subsequently reduce our room rate to the general public for the same room and nights you booked online under this Program, we will automatically reduce your room rate to match that lower rate.

Rooms must be booked at least 60 days in advance and, unlike our normal cancellation policy, a non-refundable deposit of 1-night's room charge and tax must be paid at the time of booking. Currently this program is only available for arrivals through 2/15/06. The number of rooms and nights available for this Program is limited and rooms are not available every night. This Program is subject to change or discontinuance at any time and without notice.

For more details about the Passholder Best Rate Program, check out Frequently Asked Questions.

* Does not include group rates, auction rates or rates conditioned on group/club memberships or other specified eligibility requirements.

I searched the site last night looking for the $50 change fee. I can't find it anywhere. Did they eliminate this fee? If they did it might be worth using BRP.

yes, they did get rid of the fee's. I think when they changed the 120 to 60 days out time line

We have reservations under the BRP for Dec. and Feb.. If anyone believes the rate will decrease, I have a bridge to sell them. I hope I'm wrong, but I see no way WDW will lower the rates on the BRP. Our room rate at the WL for a courtyard room is about $50 more per night than the AP discount for the same room last year.

I have an MBA, so I don't need a lecture on supply and demand.

totally agree!
we can dream thou :teeth:

others have been posting that CM's "said" that if the rate was lowered you would still have to call in to get it changed....who knows!! Haven't seem either of my trips go lower yet!

All the room rates were higher this year than last years AP rates. This year they were a flat dollar amount off and last year it was a percentage off.
